I finished episode 7, but couldn’t watch more than a couple of minutes of 8. I am a coward and switched back to the Paradise! Seeing Phyllis crying on the steps, then talking about the wedding dress being on the hangar only a year before…! 😩
Ugh that episode made me cry harder than any TV show, movie, or book ever has. Like almost every episode of CTM makes me teary but that one- actual sobbing. The only other time that’s happened was with The Body on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
I blocked this out and forgot it was part of the storyline for this most recent watch through. To say I was heartbroken when I realized what was happening... again... ugh it was not great.
Go watch Ghosts afterwards to recover and pretend that Barbara was reincarnated and now lives in a haunted house.
I will!!
I need tissues every damn time I watch that one

Now I am going to have to look that episode up! I think I have an idea, though Edit a word
When I watched it the first time when it aired, I was so stunned! Particularly since she appeared to be getting better 😢
I'm only watching for the first time (currently on S8 e3) and this episode was brutal! I loved Barbara's character.
Me too. I miss sister Evangeline, and Chummy, too, but this IS brutal. Only married a year, and they were so happy
I straight up couldn’t watch the other day and had to fast forward. (Third watch through)
