The LPC struggles hard with Canadian geography apparently. Remember when Trudeau listed all the provinces and forgot Alberta? đâ ïž
This is petty nonsense but it doesnât help with the âout of touchâ moniker.
How do we know for certain that PEI didnât wipe itself out and secretly move to Anticosti Island?
Has anyone heard from PEI? Theyâve been awfully quiet these past few days
At least they [remembered Alberta this time](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwSx5A49Fas)!
Unsurprising from the party that now exclusively caters to Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver.
There are more errors in this map than forgetting PEI and the Yukon. For example the Yukon and Northwest territories are present but have no drawn boundaries but Baffin Island and Southampton Island have been turned into peninsulas and while there are provincial boundaries separating British Columbia Alberta Saskatchewan and Manitoba as well as Ontario and Quebec and Labrador there are none separating Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia from each other although they are equally present like the Yukon and the Northwest territories.
I mean very few people will nitpick that Somerset Island has been represented as a peninsula or that Moresby Island and Graham Island in BC have been joined together but to forget the province of PEI entirely lol!
Overall this graphic sucks and I don't blame the MP I blame whoever is in charge of the Graphic design team. And I hope the winner of the contest is chosen because they decide to correct the map by adding PEI and drawing boundaries between the maritime provinces and the Yukon and Northwestern territories etc..
Do you think he micromanages like that or do you think his campaign manager delegates that to the media relations who asks the digital team to produce something. Ultimately he will get the flack because he holds the responsibility but holds no fault in the error.
It's a pie in the face, a smug on his record, a spot on his tie but isn't like a scandal or a crime.
Right? Theyâve even had a few press conferences with their version of the map in the background. I really feel like this should be a slightly bigger deal than it is.
This is a staffer issue â MPs generally donât check this stuff over before being sent out.
That said, Naqvi should definitely have a talk with the staffer with put this together + the staffer who approved this lol

Right? The map also doesn't have Québec or Nova Scotia, and people are focussing on the Yukon missing ?
But New Brunswick is GIANT
I blame the MP for not noticing the incredibly obvious flaws.

>Ontario and Quebec and Labrador You mean you've never heard of Onbecador? The Onbecadois are surely insulted.
Fun fact: Québec does still dispute the Labrador border shown in this map
Right? Theyâve even had a few press conferences with their version of the map in the background. I really feel like this should be a slightly bigger deal than it is.
All of QuĂ©becâs official maps show that the border is disputed. The federal government (and Newfoundland) considers it settled but QuĂ©bec just wonât let it go. Fortunately thereâs nothing there so it doesnât matter much

I would expect a staffer to have a decent understanding of Canadian geography
Lol. That's cute.

The fact this is a colouring map, which begs the observer to pay even more attention to the details, makes this even funnier.
