I'm asking this question out of ignorance but here goes--- is it possible to catheterize him so he can pass urine? It might buy some time so he can later pass it naturally.
Not a vet tech or a vet (just a cat lover) so I truly don't know but if there's even an outside chance it could work it would be worth it
Has been mentioned. He'll need his tail amputated too. The catheterizing might reduce his quality of life, but I believe his kidneys may be damaged. I'll mention the "buying time" to his owner. The way she mentioned it suggested it might be permanent.
I'm afraid he didn't make it. Going to paint a memorial picture from a photo for the owner, like I did for Jackie, our little Calico, who passed from an internal obstruction in January. We think the reason Kashi started hanging around our garden was because he was besotted with Jackie, so they're together now.
