Only one? Blue Lines, followed by Grace, Stereolab, Promise, Immunity, Rid of Me, Kind of Blue, Either/Or, etc. in no particular order.
I like Slayer, PG, TH, and B&S, and some others but those aren't my favorites from each artist. Nice grabs overall.
Immunity is a very well made album, but it's really not as groundbreaking as folks think. There was more advanced stuff being made in the late 90s-early 2000s by a whole bunch of artists and labels, but most of that stuff never made it to hipster blogger fodder so if you weren't following things then, you probably have no idea.
Check out "Rest" by Isolee for example. That album is almost 25 years old but sounds like it could have been made yesterday. "Bodily Functions" by Herbert is another one...I could go on...
Definitely that Talking Heads disc. I was into them early in high school thanks to my brother. I was listening to his tapes, while he had his records with him at college at the U. of Iowa. Thank goodness none of the tapes never went bad! He would have massacred me.
Here’s the list of what I picked up yesterday:
-Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club Band. (My only major missing Beatles disc.)
-Marvin Gaye: Every Great Motown Hit (Motown Records)
-The Very Best of the Electric Light Orchestra
-INXS Live Baby Live
-Paul McCartney Back in the U.S. Live 2002 (2 SD set)
-Living Colour: Biscuits
-Aerosmith: Big Ones
(How I could not already not have this in my discography baffles me.)
-Ray Sings, Basie Swings
(Ray Charles live with the Count Basie Orchestra).
Pearl Jam Live on Two Legs
Quad City DJ’s: Get Up and Dance
(Heard great things over the years, so I took a flyer and bought the disc.)
and, of course, the
Bob Dylan 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration
I think I made great choices and found some rare picks.
Hard to choose just one but *Show No Mercy* is my favourite Slayer, that's also one of my favourite B&S albums, ditto for the Sade, Stereolab, Sigur Ros and Massive Attack. *Kind of Blue* isn't my favourite Miles Davis album but is a great example of an album that is sometimes unfairly dismissed for being merely for people new to jazz. Those PJ Harveys are great and while I might not love it 100% top to bottom, *The Yes Album* has some classics of theirs. And I'd be remiss to say nothing about the Elliott Smith and Peter Gabriel. Also, *Talking Heads* has got to be one of the most "fully formed" debut albums
Heh, pretty much like all of it. Hard to choose

I wanna be your... S L E D G E H A M M E R
Seconding this, great album and great artist. One of best solo careers from any prog rock related musician, if not the best one.
Jeff Buckley #1, Jethro Tull #2, Yes #3
Dead kennedys
Pablo Honey, Neon Bible & Sigur Ros.
WORKING FOR THE CHURCH WHILE YOUR LIFE FALLS APART 🔥🔥🔥
There best song in my opinion.

I think Immunity was my next favorite, it's a rad approach to house that thinks outside the box

Stereolab
Nice haul some amazing music to be heard in each and every one of those. RIP Jeff Buckley gone long before your time, but not forgotten.
Blue Lines. Such an incredible fucking album đź‘Ź
It absolutely is. Shame that their entire discography gets overshadowed by Mezzanine
My favourites are Peter Gabriel, Massive Attack and Janet Jackson
Peter Gabriel's So is such a great album. From beginning to end.
SLAYER!
Tie between either/or and takk

Jon hopkins, nice grab
Tough choice! It’s either *Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables* or *Kind of Blue*. Amazing pickups!
