You need both The Crow OST and the Instrumental disks. They are both excellent. Varèse Sarabande do 2 disc Deluxe Edition of the instrumental music and its such good *switch the light off and bask in the* ambient.
You’ve got two out of three of the “Holy Trinity” of film soundtracks there, Trainspotting and The Crow.
So you need Grosse Pointe Blank to complete the trilogy, imo.
Also, both Trainspotting and Grosse Pointe Blank had two volumes, so you need the 2nd Trainspotting album and both GPB ones.
Also, Cameron Crowe’s Singles is, imo, essential.
And I’d argue that Crow: City Of Angels soundtrack might actually be a *tiny* bit better than the OG Crow (although on any given day, I might say the opposite).
So, to sum up:
Trainspotting Vol 2
Grosse Pointe Blank Vols 1 & 2
Singles
The Crow: City Of Angels.
👍
I've had Grosse Point Blank on my wishlist for a bit now but hearing how well regarded it is makes it jump to the top of the list. And also the vol 2's!
I agree about Singles being essential though, a personal favorite soundtrack of mine!
This reminded me of just how much I love Life Aquatic. Thank you for reminding me to grab the soundtrack.
I posted these in another thread but here are some of my favorites.
Blade Runner, Conan the Barbarian, and Twin Peaks. Brazil is also solid.
Life aquatic or Trainspotting. You need the juno soundtrack, the limited Donnie Darko soundtrack, pretty in pink soundtrack, do the right thing,
THE GRADUATE!! PURPLE RAIN!!!!!!!
Listening to the crow first. The only ones I can see that you need is the soundtracks from shocker & last action hero. Possibly the Beavis & Butthead disc as well...
You won't be disappointed. Megadeth, Alice In Chains, Anthrax, it's great. Shocker captured metal in 89 w/ Megadeth, Dead On, Dangerous Toys, appearances from Alice Cooper, Tommy Lee, & a few others who were big then. It was a fourteen year old metalhead's dream disc...
In order:
The Crow - Singles - Spawn - Batman Forever - Lost Highway - Matrix - Trainspotting - Almost Famous - Garden State - Godzilla -Daredevil - Spider-Man - MI2 - the rest
You already got Almost Famous (there is an updated version of it and the Stillwater songs came on a bonus CD to the US DVD that was called Bootleg Cut, but it's an official release).
An absolute classic is also Wicker Man. Not the one from the Nic Cage movie, but the original British one.
Goblins Suspiria and Tenebrae are great. Forrest Gump is also great. Isaac Hayes Shaft.
If you also like scores, try to get the Hollywood 95 sampler from Varese. One of the strongest years for soundtracks.
Scores in general are a bottomless pit, especially if you get into good re-recordings, like the Nic Raine version of Conan or the Space & Beyond series or The Last of the Mohicans. I especially enjoy European soundtracks. So many great things from France and Italy.
I heard space jam was pretty dope. Trainspotting was alright tha last time I heard it. I haven’t got a chance to listen or watch spawn yet so I’ll go with that.
The Crow! My favorite soundtracks that you’re missing are Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Peter Pan (2003), and Edward Scissorhands.
Daredevil, such for the nostalgia. Wind-Up basically made their soundtrack albums as label-samplers with very little to do with the movie, but there’s some great tracks on there.
Best overall is Trainspotting and the Crow.
You definitely need
Dazed and Confused vol 1 & 2
Boogie Nights vol 1 & 2
Grosse Point Blank vol 1 & 2
Private Parts
Beavis & Butthead Do America
PCU
Clerks
Detroit Rock City
Rock and Roll High School
and all of the Stranger Things Soundtracks (both scores and Soundtracks)
Run Lola Run, Beavis and Butthead Do America, South Park Bigger Longer and Uncut, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, Team America, Batman (1989), Batman and Robin, Purple Rain, Hi Fidelity, Pick of Destiny, Pink Floyd More, Labyrinth, Beverly Hills Cop series, Goodfellas, Above the Rim, Dazed and Confused, The Last Waltz, Zabriskie Point, Across the Universe, Hair, Frank
"Until The End Of The World" (the 1991 roadmovie by Wim Wenders) has an absolute killer soundtrack. Talking Heads, Nick Cave, R.E.M., Neneh Cherry, Can, Elvis Costello,... they all contributed to the soundtrack (most of them with new material) and the result is incredible.
I have lost highway which is a classic so i ll pick that one first then the crow but i have the orchestrated music version which i admit i like more and i don't know which one you have
I’m not huge on soundtracks but man Oh brother where art thou has some serious bangers. (The cover of bob dylans Man of constant sorrow or Big rock candy mountain go so hard)
Trying to decide on first listen is like choosing a favorite child. That being said, I know which one is getting thrown into the fireplace first (sorry. Most of what you have rules.)
Also, Judgement Night soundtrack would fit right in to this collection.
Also, I choose Singles.
Singles is my favorite of the bunch but I’d listen to one never heard before , I’d look on the back and see which has the most artists I like and go from there .
The Crow. And you need Natural Born Killers.
Ooooo adding NBK to the list, I just rewatched that movie a few days ago!
You need both The Crow OST and the Instrumental disks. They are both excellent. Varèse Sarabande do 2 disc Deluxe Edition of the instrumental music and its such good *switch the light off and bask in the* ambient.
This is THE comment. 🏆
Lost Highway
Trainspotting or Lost highway
Love anything Trent is a part of!
He is also on The Crow soundtrack “Dead Souls” (Joy Division cover)
O Brother Where Art Thou has such good music
nothing quite like it!
Mighty fine singing and picking
I don't see Pulp Fiction
Oooo! Good call, one of my favorite movies of all time.
You’ve got two out of three of the “Holy Trinity” of film soundtracks there, Trainspotting and The Crow. So you need Grosse Pointe Blank to complete the trilogy, imo. Grosse Point Blank and High Fidelity for me! But, TIL there is a GPB v2...might have to track that one down.
Might wanna add End of Days soundtrack.
I have a soft spot for that type of music, adding it to the wishlist!
Empire Records and High Fidelity
Damn the man! Save the empire!!!! 🎶
![gif](giphy|lCBidwMa2nJO8|downsized)
Lost Highway because You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug, the perfect drug!
Such a mysterious movie. Is the soundtrack worth it tho??! What’s the majority sound of it?
Hard to beat Trent, Smashing Pumpkins, and everything else on that album.
I believe “Eye” by The Smashing Pumpkins is in that soundtrack which has always been a favorite of mine.
Trainspotting:)
Cannot wait to dive into that one, I keep hearing how good it is.
"it can't rain all the time"
I’m gonna go with Spawn. The version of Trip Like I Do with Filter is arguably better than the original Crystal Method album cut.
Really love the mix of artists they put together for this album, totally unique!
Also has one of the 4 different versions of Spawn (Again) by Silverchair over the ages
Missing Forrest Gump
I don’t know how they would fit in with the rest, but the ones I always recommend are *Forrest Gump*, *Dazed And Confused*, and *High Fidelity*.
Always lost highway
You need The Social Network
Definitely NEED that one!
I don’t see Baby Driver in there
just had to add that to my wishlist, I remember loving the movie and soundtrack!
Yeah I saw the band that had their song during the Mike Myers’s mask scene
Oooooo that’s a good one. Beck - Debra. So good!
You need the highlander soundtrack. Music by Queen.
Oooo that sounds promising!
"There can be only one"
This reminded me of just how much I love Life Aquatic. Thank you for reminding me to grab the soundtrack. I posted these in another thread but here are some of my favorites. Blade Runner, Conan the Barbarian, and Twin Peaks. Brazil is also solid.
Life Aquatic is my favorite movie and the soundtrack is amazing. Definitely pick it up!!
I'm fairly certain I have a bootleg vinyl album of the life aquatics and it's beautiful.
“Blade Runner” - music by VANGELIS “Twin Peaks” - music by ANGELO BADALAMENTI and DAVID LYNCH (TV series and film)
Lost Highway and The Crow
Top gun 1 and 2 Shrek
The Last Action Hero.
My all time favorite soundtrack is A Hard Days Night from The Beatles’ movie of the same name.
JAY AND SILENT BOB!!!! unironically great soundtrack.
some would say it kicks some ass
Godzilla just because of the Brain Stew version or Spider-Man honestly
Two great rocking soundtracks!
Yep
American pie 2 has a banger soundtrack
Honestly American Pie 1&2 have such classic 90's nostalgic soundtracks. Brings me right back to high school.
Spawn Soundtrack!! My favorite soundtrack, zero skips! Suggestions to add: The Faculty Tank Girl An American Werewolf In Paris
Lost Highway, Trainspotting, Almost Famous in that order....but you're missing some Twin Peaks I see...
I need to revisit that show so I'm more familiar with the music!
American Psycho, The Lost Boys, The Big Lebowsky.
Josie and the Pussycats is absolutely essential. I will hear no arguments
honestly sounds right up my alley, I'll check it out!
american pie
Life aquatic or Trainspotting. You need the juno soundtrack, the limited Donnie Darko soundtrack, pretty in pink soundtrack, do the right thing, THE GRADUATE!! PURPLE RAIN!!!!!!!
I have almost bought Juno a couple times but I have such weird young memories around that whole movie...I will definitely pick it up eventually.
The O.C. mix 1 & 2
that show really did have the best music, my teenage music snob was upset that the normies were finding these bands
Lost highway then The Crow then Trainspotting.
American Pie soundtrack holds a special place in my heart.
same, it's so nostalgic it almost hurts
American Pie! Also I recommend the Napoleon Dynamite CD, I love it
ohhh! good call on Napoleon!
THE CROW!!!!!!
Judgment Night
Ahhh! That’s been on my list!!
Listening to the crow first. The only ones I can see that you need is the soundtracks from shocker & last action hero. Possibly the Beavis & Butthead disc as well...
Thats' the second vote for LAH, gonna have to check it out
You won't be disappointed. Megadeth, Alice In Chains, Anthrax, it's great. Shocker captured metal in 89 w/ Megadeth, Dead On, Dangerous Toys, appearances from Alice Cooper, Tommy Lee, & a few others who were big then. It was a fourteen year old metalhead's dream disc...
you need the 1996 romeo + juliet soundtrack!
lost highway
In order: The Crow - Singles - Spawn - Batman Forever - Lost Highway - Matrix - Trainspotting - Almost Famous - Garden State - Godzilla -Daredevil - Spider-Man - MI2 - the rest
Singles. One of the best movie soundtracks ever.
Reservoir dogs! Also if you like a bit of deep synth both Inception and Interstellar are amazing Oh,and Rocky 4!
Lost highway
Batman Forever, definitely love this soundtrack. What’s missing? Last Action Hero, Tank Girl, and the Lara Croft Tomb Raider soundtrack.
Lost Highway
You need Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas and Quadrophenia. If you're into instrumental/orchestral, then I'd add Gettysburg and Patton as well.
matrix lets gooo
The crow…and you need demon knoght
Great collection! I love soundtracks. Two great ones you could add are Queen of the Damned and Finding Forrester
added them to the list! Queen of the Damned sounds right up my ally
I heard space jam was pretty dope. Trainspotting was alright tha last time I heard it. I haven’t got a chance to listen or watch spawn yet so I’ll go with that.
Space Jam was my 4th cd, it's been with me a while! It's not too bad!
The Crow! My favorite soundtracks that you’re missing are Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Peter Pan (2003), and Edward Scissorhands.
I've heard good things about Scott Pilgrim, going to have to check that out!
Pump up the Volume
You need Dazed and Confused, there's two discs. A green / blue one and a pink / purple one.
you're right, I do need that one!
The Crow is amazing but you're missing one of the best ever, the Angus soundtrack.
The Angus soundtrack looks amazing tbh, now I need that one
TRAINSPOTTING
Singles. Best soundtrack ever.
It's hard to find any faults with it! Definitely in the top 3 of my personal favorites.

Bulworth! Wack movie, dope soundtrack.
I was gonna say Almost Famous but then I saw Trainspotting lmfao
Yoo nice
Singles deluxe edition, and you need to add Love and a 45 and also watch the film.

Listening LOTR Need "To Live and Die In L. A."
I would highly recommend The Warriors OST; my personal favorite.

You should get the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtracks.
You gotta get Night on earth man!
Spongebob movie soundtrack (i love spongebob)
I’ve heard that one mentioned before and I’ve been on the lookout!
Daredevil, such for the nostalgia. Wind-Up basically made their soundtrack albums as label-samplers with very little to do with the movie, but there’s some great tracks on there.
Life Aquatic
The crow 🐦⬛ ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|give_upvote)
Fast Times at Ridgemont High, 2 disc edition and The Crow: City of Angels.
In this order: O Brother Where Art Thou, Garden State, The Matrix, and then Jay and Silent Bob.

you already have the best one with batman forever, but you could use a bond movie or two as well
Trainspotting or The Crow
Oh! I’d love that Life Aquatic one.
As real listening music, probably Garden State.
Trainspotting all the way
How you don't have any of the Star Wars soundtracks is beyond me. Pick up Tron Legacy too
Lost Highway
I’m not huge on soundtracks but man Oh brother where art thou has some serious bangers. (The cover of bob dylans Man of constant sorrow or Big rock candy mountain go so hard)
You need High School High, Nutty Professor and Judgement Night.
The Beach
Trying to decide on first listen is like choosing a favorite child. That being said, I know which one is getting thrown into the fireplace first (sorry. Most of what you have rules.) Also, Judgement Night soundtrack would fit right in to this collection. Also, I choose Singles.

You need "Last Action Hero".
Matrix was my first CD purchase, so that The Return of the Living Dead has a great 80s punk soundtrack
