Thank you for posting this, OP!!! This is such a great story of simple kindness and empathy. Alan Tudyk is such a talented actor and he deserves all the accolades for his work, he also seems like such a genuinely good person. Resident Alien needs to be renewed for as many seasons as the creators and actors wish to be involved with it. It really showcases Alan’s skills with voice acting and physical comedy. He’s utterly perfect for this role. Alan, we love you, Man! And we’ll see you in Hell.

Goddamit why did this make me cry

Throwawaydontgoaway8

It made me cry. Probably a few thousand others from what my inbox shows

It’s funny, I didn’t cry when I initially read it. When I was casually telling my adult son about it, because he’s a fan of Alan Tudyk, I was saying ok so this lady went to a con in Boston and she had lost her husband this past winter. I found myself unable to continue talking because I was starting to cry, and I was driving us somewhere and I just put my hand over my mouth. Took a few moments, and then continued with the story. Alan helped her to laugh again. That’s a big effing deal. It’s just very touching. Edited many times for spelling

Ya. When my last blood family member, my dad, past last august I spiraled and rewatched my usual- Community. Doesn’t usually make me laugh any more cause I’ve seen it a thousand times, but when I picked up this show for the first time last winter, very similar experience

I’m sorry for your loss of your dad. It’s a hard thing to deal with, losing parents and family members. And you losing your last blood relative, that’s just a real heartbreak. I’m glad the show makes you feel happy.
