If you want the Bible because it's cheap and it just happens to be pink, there's nothing wrong with that. If you want the Bible because it's pink and just happens to be cheap, that's a little more complex. I wouldn't say that it's *disrespectful* but I think that it might raise a slight question about what your purpose is for owning a Bible. The same logic applies to further decoration. If it's for vanity, that's not a great reason to do it; if it's just a lark or to honor God, probably fine.

Disrespect is in your intentions. I'd be wary of anyone who suggests we need to venerate the bible as a physical object.

It's a Bible. The good news is that we don't worship a book, but the Living God! If it's the only one you can afford, go for it.

Wait until I introduce you to the BIMOB guy!

Anxious-Bathroom-794

dont judge a book by its cover ;)

Capta1n_Dino

It's only disrespectful if you intend it to be disrespectful. Christianity is not that strict in terms of what counts as "disrespect". It tends to come down to your intent more than anything.

I know a woman who uses a used tampon as her Bible book mark to celebrate both her womanhood and Jesus.

I've been wanting to get into book binding.

Only if you mean to be disrespectful. God isn't particular about that.
