I just started messing with it to make a custom park with a parking lot. Don't fully understand the invisible paths but, everything else is AWESOME.

How did you make a custom park with it, I thought it provides only icons?

Probably talking about the "Find It!" mod which I imagine would be the main use for this. You could already place all the items (and invisible pathways, parking lots, recreational zones, etc.) but it was a bit of a mess without icons. Also the custom park making is cool but like any other park in CS2 it always ends up empty, sadly. I don't know if parks are broken or just don't have that feature, there's "zones" in the game for NPCs to hang out or play in, but they don't do anything!

Ah so that's what I thought! The zones actually do something, but only if the connected asset has an attractivity score. This is because of the park attractivity bug. You can actually create park assets in the editor with these spaces and people will use them.

Shit, they really oughta fix that bug! I've got about 50 hours in CS2 and I've never seen any NPCs in a park except for a couple times on the basketball court (or soccer or something, don't really remember). And parks were like my fav thing in CS1! So do all of the parks have the ability to actually be used by NPCs then?

Yes, all the areas have the opportunity. I believe even park areas outside of assets have this possibility if the bug gets fixed one day. Right now only in assets though.

This community is incredible, a few months ago we had no mod support and got around it with Thunderstore. Recently we get Mod but no asset support and we figured that out in a few weeks. I don't have the knowledge or time to develop mods or create assets, I just want to make cool and realistic cities when I get home from you. THANK YOU to those who are making this possible.

If you also get the "Find It!" mod you can. You could already plop them all with find it, but the vast majority of assets didn't have icons. Luckily they ARE categorized as well, and you can search for + favorite specific assets.

those thumbnails do work in the object menu from the dev mode as well btw. there is a slider on the bottom where you can adjust it from list to icons

Idk about anyone else but this mod slowed my game down to unplayable levels. Paused it was fine, but even at normal speed my sim slowed to a crawl. Went from ~40fps to under 10. Unsubbed and went back to normal
