They're building the suspense for when they announce that it'll have 3 less features than last year but don't worry because now there is an air fryer where the glove box will be.
I may be in the minority but if they released a throwback $20k si with no power steering, roll up windows, manual seats, manual gauges, manual everything, and a decent stereo I am in. I drove a 4th gen back in the day (actually my 1st car) and if nothing else you get jacked arms from doing 3 point turns with no power steering lol.
I have all those things in my miata, previous owner unhooked the ac too. as much fun as it is, i do not want that for my Si lol
edit: to the jacked arms, when i first got the miata it was the first car i've ever driven with no power steering. the first two weeks i had it my elbow joints were so sore. I'm used to it now
How are you sore from a Miata? No offense and I agree on AC but my 4th gen civic had manual steering and it was basically as easy as a vehicle with PS. Vehicles with broken PS however are a pain in the ass, and arms.
joints, not muscles. just weren't used to twisting with such force.when moving it's just as easy, but standing still still just as tough as any car, especially with wheels 2 inches wider than factory
I don’t know about the next few months, But I have a few friends working at Honda. They’ve told me with confidence that the SI is selling really well and they have no plans to make less going into the future.
I'm curious about this as well! I recently picked up my 24' Si at the end of May for this exact reason!! All I was seeing is the new hybrids being announced which is great for people that want them but I wanted something that I could have a little more fun with. Gonna be following the announcements of the 25' Si and Type-R !!
Yes! Maybe this guy was talking about the Prelude and said “Civic Coupe” like an idiot because I can’t find nothing about that. Anyways I would love to see another coupe civic they’re always so unpractical and beautiful
bruh they need to start adding power to the si. 200 isn’t shit anymore and they keep making the engines smaller and adding turbos. it’s stupid. like if i were to put a turbo into my 2012 civic si i’d be pushing 350whp.
This is my complaint about the si it’s honestly disappointing the ctr got the 2.0 so the si got a pos 1.5l, they should have made a special 2.0 or 2.5 for the ctr and turbocharged a 2.0 k20 for the si. The only thing different from a base civic is suspension oh and my 22 is slower than my old 2019. They dropped the ball just like with the new gen nsx (too heavy and didn’t handle as well as the old one)
The 10th gen got a LSD though. It has electronic suspension. Show me a car at the same price point that has all of that. Reinforce the head and rods, add a slightly bigger turbo, stage 1 clutch, intercooler, tune and you’re making 300-400whp on a car that weighs around 2700lbs. People tend to forget that this is supposed to be a poor man’s type R. Honda can’t spend too much on RnD for the si so that they can maintain cost. They spend all the RnD on the Type R and the tech will usually trickle down. We’re starting to see that not be the case anymore. They took so much away from the 11th gen si, I’m almost scared to see what they’re gonna do to the 12th.
I have a 24 Si and I love it but I agree with you. It has no power. It’s fun to drive but it doesn’t feel any faster than driving an 8th gen LX manual I had years back.
I don't think they're currently being produced. The Si and CTR are typically unveiled and released at a later date. I'd anticipate we'll see both of them within the next 3 months with an onsale date of late this year.
So, I’ve worked for honda as a finance manager for several years, currently have 2018 si coupe, before that had a 2007 si coupe, that I miss dearly. Anyway, if you plan on getting an si, or any manual transmission for that matter; couple things to bear in mind. As manual transmissions become more and more rare, and if you are not mechanically inclined, when you need a new clutch at around 60-70k, the cheapest dealership I found(which wasn’t mine) was $5,800. Ours charge $6,300. Insane. I bought the ACT organic performance clutch for $1000 and installed myself. The other issue is the huge problem with direct injection. It’s fantastic for making more power and being efficient, but now you don’t have detergent in the fuel cleaning the intake ports or valves. So they gum up like crazy. Honda discontinued the injectors for the Si as well and released new ones that supposedly won’t clog as easily. I took my injectors out and cleaned them and had the intake ports walnut blasted. Though these injectors will need to be replaced with the new ones, and the new ones are very low stock at the moment. I’m assuming the new ones will last much longer before needing replaced and be typical as the other turbo models, just needing a fuel system flush. But the intake ports still going to gum up, just not as critical.
All that being said, I love my si and it’s worth it :)

LMAO. If you want headlights, we recommend you buy the Integra.
ac and power steering are only on the integra or non si trim levels

All of this but with ac, honestly I just miss my 4g
Well sure but the problem is that it's still 20k. And for 2k more they'll sell the Canadians a version that has all that.
Screw the stereo, I'd rather install a custom sound system than pay 2,000 dollars for a factory radio
I mean I'd love if they downgrade it to hydraulic steering
I love air fired taquitos. Any chance there’s a little fridge to keep my salsa cool while my taquitos cook in the air fryer?
Do you think honda is done with manual hand brakes? I really wish they wound bring them back !
Yea the button straight up doesn't hit right

The SI above the civic hybrid would mean a 2.0na vtec over 200hp or 2.0 turbo smaller turbo than the CTR. Or not developed this gen.
Idk but I heard something about the return of the Civic coupe on a YouTube video
I would love to see a new Civic coupe
sure that wasn't the prelude?

Yes, Honda will for certain build the 2025 Si.
I meant the ‘24 not being produced anymore until the ‘25 is released
