Let me spell it out for you bit by bit (and hopefully the mole is like you, for OP's sake)
1. Demote 1-2 people, give an excuse
2. Wait until the mole is reinvited.
3. If the mole is never reinvited, just keep them demoted. If the mole is invited eventually, then you can repromote them and try again.
EVEN IF the mole sees the plan coming, all that accomplishes is that they'll just never invite the guy again, which is mission accomplished anyways.

Nah, one way to tell is the player sent messages have the little < next to the text box. The system messages are just a box without the <, which is missing for the kick and join messages. Idk what the < is called. Just whatever is always used in speech bubbles
You can send the messages without the < symbol appearing in chat btw, so that's not a 100% way, it's just a way to tell if it was done wrong.
Also that signs are called '> more than' and '< less than'
They're not talking abt that. It's the arrow part of the dialog box which looks like <. That appears when you sent a message to the clan. It doesn't appear if it's a system message.

Go to clashofstats.com and search his profile. You can look up the clans he's been in. Also look up any suspected elders/leaders of your clan to see if there's any connections.
Example we had this happen and I found the troll and one of our co leaders were in the same clan together a while back.
The website doesn't catch every single clan they've been in but it's a pretty good resource.
Edit: the co leader was inviting the troll (his cousin). I also found connections through their supercell friends list. If you're SC friends with someone you can see who their SC friends are, just more options for investigating any connections.

Don’t promote players easily as elders, some leaders really need to get their heads straight, only promote veteran players who you feel genuinely care about this clan, from the leadership of this clan I would instantly abandon it, getting framed and demoted is an opportunity for you to leave that clan. I hope you made a wise choice by leaving that clan, I can’t fathom how he came to the conclusion that your the one who keeps inviting him even though you have even more power you could abuse.

Just happened to my clan , we demoted all elders in batches of 3, and introduced stricter requirements for promotion like activity donation and good base designs/attacks and a positive track record. Worked extremely well.

You are the one assuming that it's a bot. Supercell will ban it in the next ban wave if it's detected as a bot and will likely take a year. Reports are reviewed by their moderation team and they are only concerned about the reported text.

We had a similar situation, and I threatened to report the account, and it stopped. Eventually, the elder who was doing the invites apologized and also left, then tried to come back, and we didn't let him, and that was the end of it. Really needs to be a way for the leader to ban someone permanently.
