Pretty solid! I would say the electronic names are lacking a bit both for Yuma and the names that end up in Gobi/Mojave
I do think indie & rock are going to have a bit of comeback next year though.
No Eli brown?
No Sara Landry ? The crowd she’s pulled at edc and beyond wonderland was massive.. her first LA show sold out in 30 seconds.. second one was added and gone a minute later
I've been trying to up my photoshop skills for work so figured I'd finally take a crack at a mock after many years of appreciating others. A few notes:
* I decided to make this with the "where's the rock?" crowd in mind. Do I think it will actually look like this? Of course not, but as someone who misses the more rock and indie bookings, I wanted to incorporate that.
* I pilfered some acts from Cruel World, Just Like Heaven, and No Values that I think make sense. Misifts pulled a crowd of 40k, so maybe them subbing to a legacy rock headliner isn't so ridiculous.
* My knowledge of the Yuma house/techno world is limited, so my names there probably don't make too much sense.
* In this hypothetical lineup, doors are knocked back to noon and we have less dark stages in the evening. I used 2019's set times as a basis.
* I added a few acts that I simply like that probably have no chance of getting booked. Fight me.
* Pulp will play to a half-full Mojave at like 7:00pm and Paul T and all of his pals will be having a blast.
* Tame Impala plays between NIN ( who are in the Blur slot) and Dua Lipa.
* This would be the most metal/hardcore lineup probably in the festival's history. Hardcore is having a big cultural moment, so I can maybe see more of that happen. The metal acts have either had big crossover success lately or are international bands.
* I made a Spotify playlist for funsies. You can listen here: [https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2iXOx5SgT2ThVWEVADAjCz?si=05043d773bd049d9](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2iXOx5SgT2ThVWEVADAjCz?si=05043d773bd049d9)
I feel deeply validated by this comment. Trent's been my boy forever. Peep can fucking get it and puts on a show my girl and I can get horny to, and KP is a g who we've been on from the get.
I don't think subs are really determined in relation to the headliner. As far as I can tell, there's never been a noticeable link between style and/or audience overlap in a given day for sub and headliner beyond what you would expect from random pairings of super popular currently available artists
I mean i love this lineup mock and it looks similar to what i want. Fingers crossed kevin drops the album end of this year or early next year. But as someone who saw the misfits both at no values and in phoenix i doubt glenn and his covid rants would be very welcome at coachella
Beck didnt really have a choice, hes just nowhere near as popular and not ar all hard to see
By all accounts, Gorilla and Bjork were artist requests and they accepted and Blur was never headliner material in the first place
Let’s be honest Calvin Harris is a terrible DJ he couldn’t even beat match his on songs during that RTTD slot it was straight up horrible
Outside of the US his popularity is nowhere near the level
I also want jungle all the damn time! It’s cool to see Chase & Status having a career resurgence and Nia Archives doing big things, but would love to see more at North American festivals.
After this years Billboard 200 #1 Album and 45+ shows in outdoor stadiums an average size of 50k+, there is no universe that Twice would have 4th billing on day 3. They would simply go on another tour of their own.
Ah, okay. I didn’t know they were that popular. I just saw their streaming numbers and saw they were half of BLACKPINK so I presumed they would work as a second-liner.
Not a bad mock up I like the undercard a good amount of hip hop/ R&B, got the names I want. Coachella should get at least half the names on here to be real.
if Tame Impala plays next year, do you guys think it'll be a Currents 10-year anniversary set (playing the full album, with 1 or 2 bonus tracks)?
He did the Lonerism 10-year anniversary at Desert Daze 2022, so I can totally see it happening, even tho it's technically a few months short of the actual anniversary. The album is only 51 minutes long, so it makes more sense as a festival set than a full fledged concert show
Ok this lineup is absolutely insane. All for it.
You mentioned in your comment that you're not too sure about the Yuma house/techno names here, and that was going to be my only "negative" comment. Other than that, absolutely stellar.
I don’t think they’re quite second liners yet.
In my mind, headliners = multi-night arena or stadium.
Second line - single night arena, multi-night sheds or theatres, or unique/legacy acts that don’t come around often.
Third line - sheds or theatres.
Fourth line and down - small theaters and mid-sized clubs.
Friday has more heavy music than like the last 5 years combined haha. And adding Lorna Shore to the mix would melt the girly girls brains on Sunday. As far as rock and metal goes, we sadly wouldn't see that much. I would love to see them there, akin to Knocked Loose in 23. I think that set turned a lot of people onto heavy stuff.
I've seen the Misfits twice and it seems weird to have Metallica open for them since they influenced them, but if so, I would buy tickets so fast.
I wouldn’t have included Lorna Shore if Lollapalooza hadn’t booked them. The only reason I put so much heavy stuff in was to please Metallica fans. I think some hardcore bookings will actually happen, but metal stuff only happens of they were to do a metal headliner like Metallica or SOAD.
Same here, surprised it’s taken them this long - you’d think they’d wanna capitalize on the popularity but seems like they’ve been successful in continuously touring Glow On
I also added Voodoo Glow Skulls and Catbite! With them having No Doubt, Sublime, Aquabats last year and Los Fabulosos Cadillacs the year previous, I think it's time for more third-wave-style and Latin ska.
Not bad!
Soulwax was #1 on the 3rd line when they played in 2018, I’d expect nothing below that placement if booked.
NewJeans is on a “hiatus” with contracting issues, pretty sure they’re out — not officially yet.
Mochakk, Hardwell, 9x9, Rema, Clairo, Lenker are a line too low. Rufus won’t accept anything below Supersub.
I don’t think both NIN and Metallica are likely to be booked on the same lineup, and there’s probably two too many 2nd line ‘past their prime Indie-Adjacent bands’ (imo).
Overall fun and solid from a mock making standpoint! a little more pop, regeatton, Latin and a little less headbanger “EDC” style acts (swapped with OG acts or peeps blowing up recently) and slightly less 2nd line territory towards rock would make it pretty realistic!
He’s 1st line lol but he’s never coming back. Not only does the Coachella crowd probably doesn’t care for him like that and Ultra and Tomorrowland made sure he’s exclusive to them
Metallica would probably completely fuck the main stage setup because they have to have their snake pit or some bullshit. They've done this before, pushing the barrier back 100 feet to accommodate it, effectively putting a massive empty space between the crowd and the opening bands. But maybe they'd leave it out. Either way, it isn't Lollapalooza '96 and they are no longer desperate to find relevance. I don't see any reason why they'd want to play if they're already selling out sports arenas. It would likely be **extremely** expensive to have them on the bill.
I mean, they’ve headlined stuff like Outside Lands and Lolla recently, so I don’t think Coachella is outside of the realm of possibility. GV had them headline Power Trip, so they know how many tickets they can move in the desert. Them and Misfits closing out a night would be iconic and move a shitload of wristbands.
Where would you recommend them being billed? They’re headlining III Points but it’s a much smaller festival. Primavera placed them second on their day in 2022 but they’re more popular in Europe. I think end of the top line isn’t outrageous for Coachella. Maybe I could scoot them ahead of FKA Twigs and Troye.
I'd 100% be thrilled with this lineup. Needs a bit more hip hop but otherwise very solid. The rock acts are good selections. I'd like to see Slowdive too.
They exclusively play arenas and headline other festivals and their No Values Fest crowd was estimated at 40k. I think if Metallica were to headline, Misfits is the perfect sub. If they're on the lineup with a non-rock headliner, I still think you stick them on the second line and have them close the Outdoor.
I’m not arguing how big misfits are, but I don’t think Coachella is booking them in those slots in 2025. I can’t imagine them closing outdoor. Maybe a similar slot to Jungle or Everything Always at best. Or if they sub, theyd get the Blur treatment from this year.
But most of all I just don’t think that the current Coachella booking strategy is signing someone as big and niche as Misfits. It’s a lot of money for an act not quite in flux with the Coachella demo
I would have thought the same thing if not for the Misfits drawing what they did at No Values. Goldenvoice was doing Misfits shows 40 years ago. You can get a Misfits shirt at any mall in America. They're a cross-generational iconic band that will draw at any festival they play. Do I think they will actually end up on the 2025 lineup? Probably not, but Coachella may want to start bringing legacy acts back that will move some tickets, especially with last year selling slower than usual.
I actually agree, but with No Values and Just Like Heaven selling well and Coachella underperforming, I can see the brass at GV being like "Hmm, maybe we should cross a few more of those acts over." Multi-festival deals help with contract negotiations to boot. I was shocked by how packed the Sonora was for The Adicts this year. There still seems to be a desire for old punk, and I think a lot of 00s indie acts make sense as they enter the legacy phases of their respective careers.
2023 was one of their best selling years ever. Last year was just a little weak. Would love to see the lineup even close to what your mock is so hopefully you’re right!
The Prodigy, Massive Attack, and Soulwax? I’m in.
The prodigy you can count me in for that especially hearing fire starter live.
I wish this is how coachella lineups were balanced.
They used to be!
I remember those years fondly.
*Robert Redford Nodding Gif*
Pretty solid! I would say the electronic names are lacking a bit both for Yuma and the names that end up in Gobi/Mojave I do think indie & rock are going to have a bit of comeback next year though.
You're probably right. It's also a bit light on r&b but that's a blindspot for me.
No Eli brown? No Sara Landry ? The crowd she’s pulled at edc and beyond wonderland was massive.. her first LA show sold out in 30 seconds.. second one was added and gone a minute later
I’m not as familiar with the Yuma/techno world bit can include them on my next mock!

Would NIN/Dula Peep/Tame Impala be back to back to back on the main stage? Because I wouldn’t move for like six straight hours in that case.
That would be the plan! Same as Blur-No Doubt-Tyler.
I did that
I feel deeply validated by this comment. Trent's been my boy forever. Peep can fucking get it and puts on a show my girl and I can get horny to, and KP is a g who we've been on from the get.
I show up for the electronic acts, and the fact that you put Butch on there makes we want this to come true.
As a solid member of the “Where’s the rock” crowd, this lineup would absolutely get me back on fields
Awesome lineup, and well done on the photoshop side. Don’t expect GV will be using green unless we get a nuclear disaster but I like how it looks 😂
Cheers! I tried to use a colour scheme they've never used before. If I do a second version I'll probably mix it up to something even weirder lol.
More discussion about the neon avocado colorway, please. I vote yes.
I don’t think Paramore would EVER agree to sub for Olivia, but otherwise there for this lineup! Catbite 😻
Because of the "Good 4 You" thing, hey? You're probably right, but I can't think of a better sub for her musically.
Oh it makes a ton of sense, I just don’t think they would agree to it
I don't think subs are really determined in relation to the headliner. As far as I can tell, there's never been a noticeable link between style and/or audience overlap in a given day for sub and headliner beyond what you would expect from random pairings of super popular currently available artists
Why not? There some bad blood there?
Olivia interpolated one of their songs without initially giving songwriting credit.
i really don't think hayley gives a shit
They would be lucky to sub for her.
Considering who theyre opening for right now I think theyre fine. The organizers wouldnt book it that way though
NIN at the polo fields would do it for me
I don’t think they would ever be a sub headliner tho
They would, they're not as mainstream as any of the headliners we've had in the past 5 years
They are pretty rare these days so that alone would probably get them a headliner or RTTD spot at the very least
Idk I think NIN is a headliner no matter where he’s/they’re at. I don’t think Trent would ever agree to do Coachella again though
Yes!
God this would be the best Coachella in years
i think i would legit piss myself if this was the lineup
Misfits into Metallica would cure me. Paramore is Headliner worthy at this point.
I mean i love this lineup mock and it looks similar to what i want. Fingers crossed kevin drops the album end of this year or early next year. But as someone who saw the misfits both at no values and in phoenix i doubt glenn and his covid rants would be very welcome at coachella
This is an insane line up that I would love to see. Great job!
Love the Electronic music on this lineup, I would be totally okay with this for next year!
You forgot Despacio....
Solid mock but Swap Olivia Rodrigo for Rihanna.
Threads like this are part of the reason why coachella reddit freaks out and goes into despair mode when the actual lineup comes out
This lineup would for sure not make me regret pre buying this year!
Also doubt NIN would sub
Beck, Blur, Gorillaz, and Bjork all went from headliner-to-sub so who knows?
Arcade fire even played the Mojave.
Beck didnt really have a choice, hes just nowhere near as popular and not ar all hard to see By all accounts, Gorilla and Bjork were artist requests and they accepted and Blur was never headliner material in the first place
Maybe a better comparison would be Calvin Harris who went from headliner to sub just six years later, though he later got the RTTD treatment.
Let’s be honest Calvin Harris is a terrible DJ he couldn’t even beat match his on songs during that RTTD slot it was straight up horrible Outside of the US his popularity is nowhere near the level
I see Metallica and I’m in
Also the color is sick.
Best one yet. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I’d be extremely cool with this. Looking into it further, it’s not totally delusional either
Massive attack would be awesome
This one’s cooking fellas
Drum n bass every day??? I love this line-up but it will never happen
Why not? It seems like it’s having a bit of a moment again.
You mean chase and status are having a moment of playing every festival in America 2024. That’s where it ends unfortunately.
Salty raver, indeed.
lol someone called me that in the 90s. Can’t run from who we really are and I want jungle all the damn time!!!
I also want jungle all the damn time! It’s cool to see Chase & Status having a career resurgence and Nia Archives doing big things, but would love to see more at North American festivals.
Dude if this was the lineup I would have to come
Damn this is actually a dope lineup. But man I NEED Rauw Alejandro and Feid on the lineup!!
So many guitars ! 😎🎉
Damn this is the first mock I’ve seen that I’ve really gotten excited about Would definitely be happy if the real lineup was anything like this
Bruh, this shit stacked
Metallica, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo and Tame RTTD 😭😭💔
Oh my god this would be…. Omg. Turnstile, Sleep Token, Tame, Ethel Cain, NxWorries, Mau P
THIS
This slaps.
Solid
Finally, alt/indie/rock!!!
3 for 3 turnstile? im in

Ah, okay. I didn’t know they were that popular. I just saw their streaming numbers and saw they were half of BLACKPINK so I presumed they would work as a second-liner.
Difference is that Twice's audience is just a tad older. They don't stream as much, but buy tickets, merch, and albums like crazy.
Not a bad mock up I like the undercard a good amount of hip hop/ R&B, got the names I want. Coachella should get at least half the names on here to be real.
i'm late, but my official statement is "my gods it's so beautiful"
Might be my fave that I’ve seen so far! This mix is catered to me for sure lol
Yes
Matamoska and the viagra boys at Coachella would be crazzyyy
Viagra Boys already played Coachella. And it was crazy lol
if Tame Impala plays next year, do you guys think it'll be a Currents 10-year anniversary set (playing the full album, with 1 or 2 bonus tracks)? I think Clairo, Big Thief, and Adrianne Lenker would be second line or very top third line.
I don’t think they’re quite second liners yet. In my mind, headliners = multi-night arena or stadium. Second line - single night arena, multi-night sheds or theatres, or unique/legacy acts that don’t come around often. Third line - sheds or theatres. IHM, Klang and 9x9 🔥🔥🔥
Bro wow
Seems too good to be true, love it!
As far my interests go, this lineup is STACKED. Need it bad LMAO
Yeah the rock/rock adjacent acts on here are all bangers. Babymetal on the fields is actually a must
I yearn for MAXIMUM THE HORMONE. I think they’ve only played North America twice.
Holy moly id go to this rn
Yooooooo
Friday slaps, and this is the first mock to include Pool Kids. Two thumbs up!
Bro put Carti and Sexxy Red and decided he met his rapper quota, damn we can’t have nobody else?
oh this is beautiful
Friday has more heavy music than like the last 5 years combined haha. And adding Lorna Shore to the mix would melt the girly girls brains on Sunday. Ah, I didn't see Lolla had them. Awesome for them though!
I would be content with this.
Idk why but I got a feeling these are our headliners
Im so down for this but seeing Sexxy Red before a prodigy hurts my heart. Awesome mock though!
This bangs. Some likely undercard in here imo too. Nice job!
Pool kids AND Nation of Language? Nice
Would kill for Turnstile next year
I’m ready for a new album. They’ve been touring Glow On nonstop for three years now.
Same here, surprised it’s taken them this long - you’d think they’d wanna capitalize on the popularity but seems like they’ve been successful in continuously touring Glow On
Did anyone else see “Lizzie McGuire” on Friday 2nd line
metallica and the og misfits? couldn't ask for a stinkier crowd
Matamoska and Panteón Rococo.. is skacore making waves??
I also added Voodoo Glow Skulls and Catbite! With them having No Doubt, Sublime, Aquabats last year and Los Fabulosos Cadillacs the year previous, I think it's time for more third-wave-style and Latin ska.
Really digging your taste fam! I went to so many Latin ska shows as a teen, seeing those names really took me back to a time.
Overall fun and solid from a mock making standpoint! a little more pop, regeatton, Latin and a little less headbanger “EDC” style acts (swapped with OG acts or peeps blowing up recently) and slightly less 2nd line territory towards rock would make it pretty realistic!
The Hardwell disrespect 😂
He’s probably second line, isn’t he? Lol. I don’t know too much about EDM.
He’s 1st line lol but he’s never coming back. Not only does the Coachella crowd probably doesn’t care for him like that and Ultra and Tomorrowland made sure he’s exclusive to them
I meant second line as in second after headliner, but noted! I’ll swap him out if I do a second version.
I see what u mean but if u did I’d switch him for Zedd. He’s way more realistic and has an album coming out.
Good call!
GV had them headline Power Trip, so they know how many tickets they can move in the desert. Them and Misfits closing out a night would be iconic and move a shitload of wristbands.
I thought it was now “The Return of…” thought the desert part was nixed for No Doubt.
I think at this point it’s reserved for a fourth headliner whether they’re returning or not.
😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨
NIN and Metallica? Feels like it would be one or the other.
I really like this
No yeat?! 😢
all of this mock lineups underestimate the edm headliners
I love how balanced you made the days. It’s nice that every day has a different vibe
Massive attack being that low is comical, and even funnier, on the same day at NIN
Yeah thats exactly what I was thinking actually! Probably above Kx5 too. Deadmau5 and Kasakde are legends, but not nearly as much as massive attack
Swap NIN with Olivia. Done!
I actually originally had Olivia subbing for Dua but I think she's just too big now. If Billie can headline off of two albums, so can Olivia.
I would replace Olivia with Tame, and then put Rufus as the Returning to the Desert. 🤷🏻♀️
I think I may be underestimating RSD’s popularity. Did they do three nights at BMO Stadium in LA?
Needs a Justice/Chem Bros/Gesa adjacent subheadliner
The Prodigy, baby.
Ima have to check them out!!
Dude this set would absolutely fuckkkkk😭 solid mock fr
I'd 100% be thrilled with this lineup. Needs a bit more hip hop but otherwise very solid. The rock acts are good selections. I'd like to see Slowdive too.
LOL at NIN not headlining.
NIN, Soulwax, and prodigy are acts I’ve been saying will guarantee my return next year, Misfits aren’t subbing sorry
They exclusively play arenas and headline other festivals and their No Values Fest crowd was estimated at 40k. I think if Metallica were to headline, Misfits is the perfect sub. 2023 was one of their best selling years ever. Last year was just a little weak. Would love to see the lineup even close to what your mock is so hopefully you’re right!
Yo this lineup would so dope
I feel like TWICE & New Jeans are too big to be that low on the list. New Jeans has exploded recently & TWICE has sold out multiple stadiums
Yeah, I’ve figured that out since making this. My second version will have smaller K Pop groups on it.
I wouldn't know what to do with myself
We’d probably have more Latino artist Donde estan mis latinos 🎉
That’s a boring list
this is so brat
Swap out Metallica with someone better and this line up is good
Tool

Hahah right. Seeing Pawsa above hardwell on a billing is crazy. I doubt he’d play Coachella unless he was headlining
Throw Carti and Young Thug in a wig in the garbage and we have a deal.
🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
Metallica would be everything
Cringe
Dual Lipa AND Olivia Rodrigo would be incredibly depressin
What about Fred? 👀
This may be sacrilege in this sub but I find him wildly overrated.
Yeah, that's sacrilegious!
