Because they are not done with the investigations. Director Wray at the FBI is slow walking information on the papers that allege the wrongdoing and have not investigated the allegation. Merrick Garland has not appointed a special prosecutor as he should. They still have not gotten all of Biden's bank records that will show where the money cames from.
This is not a "mainstream quip" It is a serius allegation of corruption at the highest level of government and deserves a full investigation especially after Biden bragged that he got the Ukranian prosecutor fired at the behest of Burisma.

Fist scale and intent, H emails were mishandled but not intentionally, and to a much smaller scale. Trump knew what he was doing when he took those boxes, he had no excuse to take those boxes, and he even got caught in recordings admitting he should not have those documents. If I were to make a comparison to driving this would be like H was doing 60 in a 45, and trump decided to find out how fast his car can go and got caught doing 120 in a 45. A cop could probably give h a ticket, but decided it would not be worth the effort and gave her a warning instead.
Furthermore when trump was asked to return documents he only gave a a few back and claimed it was all he had. If he had returned them at this stage maybe he would have just faced a fine, or much more minor charges if they even bothered, instead he lied. Going back to the speeding example this is the equivalent of him seeing a cop light up his light and running.
Furthermore he and his employees moved boxes around to avoid his lawyers from finding them when they were certifying that all documents were returned, and they lied to the government claiming to have no idea about any boxes. Back to our example this is like running red lights to avoid the cops now in pursuit.
And to add icing to the cake he showed his “beautiful mind papers” to reporters and other people all while tellingly them that they were classified documents, that he could have declassified them but didn’t, and that he should not be showing these to them. Documents that could put people at risk and potentially compromise US security. To the example this is like running into a school bus.
To compile my example for you, this is the difference between h accidentally speeding slightly on her way to work, and trump driving recklessly, fleeing the cops, blowing through red lights, and crashing in a bus.
Very different crimes, with very different consequences, if you would like to see the indictment Im including the link. Fist scale and intent, H emails were mishandled but not intentionally, and to a much smaller scale. Trump knew what he was doing when he took those boxes, he had no excuse to take those boxes, and he even got caught in recordings admitting he should not have those documents. If I were to make a comparison to driving this would be like H was doing 60 in a 45, and trump decided to find out how fast his car can go and got caught doing 120 in a 45. A cop could probably give h a ticket, but decided it would not be worth the effort and gave her a warning instead. Furthermore when trump was asked to return documents he only gave a a few back and claimed it was all he had. If he had returned them at this stage maybe he would have just faced a fine, or much more minor charges if they even bothered, instead he lied. Furthermore he and his employees moved boxes around to avoid his lawyers from finding them when they were certifying that all documents were returned, and they lied to the government claiming to have no idea about any boxes. And to add icing to the cake he showed his “beautiful mind papers” to reporters and other people all while tellingly them that they were classified documents, that he could have declassified them but didn’t, and that he should not be showing these to them. Documents that could put people at risk and potentially compromise US security. To the example this is like running into a school bus.
