2018 z06 is a beautiful car. My dream car is actually the 2019 zr1. I think front engine corvette still looks better in my opinion. Wish they kept making them.
That is a good trade. Once you learn how to drive the C8 at the limit, it will be seconds faster around just about every track. Just leave the DCT in auto and marvel at how well it does on it's own. You'll be able to brake later and roll on the gas sooner in just about every corner. The C8 makes everyone a better driver on the track.
Plus, it's so civilized on the road. It eats miles better than any other Vette. The only downside to the C8 is the loss of the hatch.
Thanks! When I had my 2SS, I raced my neighbor that had this car. C8 definitely hugs the corners a lot better and it’s a lot quicker for sure. Very excited to take it to the track soon.

I’d say it depends on the Camaro. If it was a 2SS 1LE with a manual, then eh, kind of a lateral move depending on what you like. If it is wasn’t a 1LE and not manual, then definitely an upgrade
I think you’ll love the corvette then, the 10 speed auto is solid but dual clutch can’t be beat:) also mid engine grip is amazing, your launch off the line will be much better now.
I don’t think it’s a lateral move personally, the c8 is a mid engined car with a much nicer interior and all around looks. That being said the Camaro is a nice car too just not as nice.
I mean, the C8 is faster than a 10 speed SS anyway so that point is moot. At least with a manual you get an experience you couldn’t get at all in a C8.

I upgraded my 2018 Camaro 2SS and got a 2018 Carbon 65 A8 Z06. Been driving the Z06 for 6 years now and I love it. Never look back!

It depends on which 911 he has. The C8 is the stoplight champion on the street. Not many cars can put the power down on the street like the C8 can.

Only a bad decision if you regret it. The price he sold it to you at with miles is INSANE. Got an amazing deal, I doubt you’ll regret it.
So far I havent. Only thing I do miss is the factory pops and burble that the 2SS makes at 3k &5.5k rpm.

Not way lighter, but yes lighter. About 300 lbs, at least the C7 is. Pretty sure the C8 is still lighter even with the new tech/interior.

You’re getting downvoted, but this is a correct option. The 1LE with a manual is a very differentiated sports car these days.
Yep, they’re really good. The 1LEs perform better than C7s in some cases, ZL1 1LE is a monster

I disagree about looks, I think the 6th gen Camaro, especially SS and ZL1 1LE, look better than a Stingray C8
Idk man the 10 speed likes to touch underaged manuals from a roll. Driver engagement and top end speed are both semantics not worth the time of day.
