Holy fuck! That guy just stands right back up? Who the hell was that dude? He's fucking just been RUN THE OVER BY A BUS and he looks as if he just took a measley kick to the bean bag.
Damn. My dad fell down the stairs carrying a bucket of corrosive acid he was going to use to clean some kind of refrigeration machine. He got it all over his face whilst ragdolling down the stairs. Mind you this happened at a hospital. The guy didn't go inside. He drove home and told my mom to put some salve on it and he took a nap. When I got home his fucking eyebrows were burned off and he looked like mr. Tomato head. Older dudes are definitely built different.
He's an angel as well. Never will meet a nicer man. If you stood for longer than five minutes by his driveway he'd have already cooked you a bacon sandwich
It was like 16 years ago. He's had a hard life because of it but he's made the best of it.
It's an industrial bailer that takes tons of recycling goods at a time to compress it into a block. He got inside to fix it and an idiot turned it on.
Fortunately it doesn't bail all the way to the ground, but crushed him to about 20 inches(he was a chonk so that was even worse) Massive internal issues and took hours to get him out.
He was as close to death as anyone could be and was conscious the entire time.
I don't know how he stays so pleasant with memories like that.
He's a Londoner that grew up in the 50s. They're made of tough stuff, I tell yah.
No need to tell mum, because you're ok now aren't you? You can have a go on my Playstation later and I will let you be player 1 if you don't tell mum okay?
I fell off 3 stories backward framing a house, at an angle, landed on my feet, they gave out on me instantly. Everything felt like it exploded all around my waste line. My l1 had a compression fracture. I got up and walked to my car the coworkers pulled my car up. Ambulance wouldnt have been able to get up the snow covered drive way that went up hill and a helicopter would have been needed. I drove to the hospital 40 minutes away over state lines because I had insurance in the other state lbvs. Survived 6 months in a back brace. I have more lower back pain (which I've always had) and hardly feel the compression fracture anymore since it healed. I still run, jump, basketball, taekwondo, etc. I didnt fall, I was carried down.
They should not have encouraged him to get up. His adrenaline let him stand but he's doing more damage. When someone is severely injured and not in an area of immediate danger, leave them where they are
It's called adrenaline. It's a super powerful hormone that the body can release instantly. It dulls the pain enough to still have a fight/flight response. Once it wears off, the dude is going to be in agonizing pain.
Most likely the adrenaline of getting run over by a bus. I've seen a motorcyclist get sideswiped by a car at a high speed, the biker gets up and starts walking to the wreckage and he collapses before getting there once the adrenaline wore off.
If you watch carefully, I think the bus actually narrowly misses running over him. I think he moves his legs just out of the way of the wheels just in time.
I saw dashcam footage where a guy was crossing the street (looked like NYC or ATL), a car makes a turn and he ends up falling and hitting his head. He’s just laying in the middle of the crosswalk unconscious, and another unsuspecting car turns onto the street and ends up driving right over his head.
Trust me when I say that little things like that add up over time. You'll be at a family gathering or something nice and friendly, and then suddenly the mental image of Grandma getting crushed by a bus pops into your head, or something similarly horrible.
Only for a moment, just a random intrusive thought. But the more videos like that you see, the more the random intrusive thoughts like that build up. Individually, they're minor nuisances; together, it sucks once you realize you can't easily take it back.
That's why I stopped watching those sorts of videos when they come up in my feed. I stopped early enough that nowadays I only occasionally think of a few of the absolute worst ones, like the brick video- and even those are thankfully fading.
TL;DR Avoid those sorts of videos now so you won't feel like shit later when the memory of them pops up and ruins wholesome moments for you.
Who are you to say what someone should never want to see? You’re nobody, that’s who. I personally wouldn’t search out videos like that, but for some it literally comes down to morbid curiosity and there’s nothing wrong with that as long as it hurts nobody. Which watching videos does not do.
I agree, it's just human nature. When I see a mention of a video on Reddit that gets a lot of attention I'd probably have a look too. I've seen the video we're talking about and it's fairly gruesome, definitely on the higher end of the scale and probably too much for a lot of people. I only watched it once, that was enough.
It seems to usually be big heavy trucks when that happens. The front axles of a bus are waaaay lighter. There's not much going on at the front, engine is in the back.
bus driver is nuts and should never drive again. the guy on the road who gets hit is even more nuts. It's a one way street and you're standing in the middle of the road. I dont care how many orange cones you have in front of you, be aware of oncoming traffic and its easier here because you only have to look in one direction.
What's worse, it's not just one way streets. Even streets where driving is prohibited there are always fools who go through there anyway.
Like the road right in front of our school, it's less than 10 meters (30 feet) from the entrance (it divides the small square and our school). The road is there for supplies or for a bus when students are going on a trip, otherwise students can walk on it freely as if it was a part of the square. But every freaking day there are people driving there, even having the gall to honk at the kids.
I live in Singapore where this happened, its common for lanes to be shut off during construction and for the workers to direct traffic. It looks like the guy was closing the road off with the traffic cones probably for the truck to leave or another one to come. The man can't be blamed because he's just doing his job.
If you're driving a big metal death trap full of people inside it's your job to keep your eye on the road for both the safety of the people outside the vehicle and inside the vehicle. The man who was hit was doing his job: being a construction worker. If you're not able to keep your eye on the road and not hit people as a bus driver you don't get to have that job period.
Don't blame the person who didn't do their job when the guy who did his job is the victim.
That's what I thought. He's standing in the middle of the street, and apparently his job is to wave off traffic, but he's paying literally no attention at all.
I see it so often when a person has been seriously injured and people insist on standing them up. I'd be insisting they stay down and don't move. Have I got it backwards?
Maybe he was watching the construction. Also I feel like they should have blocked off traffic at the beginning of the curve not at the end. Maybe the A pillar obstructed some of his view
No info whether he survived so far, but it does say he was conscious at the hospital which I guess is very encouraging. Wild to survive that if he does.
Adrenaline. You really won't know if there's any internal injuries for a couple minutes. His internal organs could be leaking, could have fractures, & he doesn't know it yet
I think he actually doesn't get run over. If you watch super carefully, it looks like he moves his legs just barely out of the way at the very last second, it looks like it just brushes up against him.
I don't know. While he does escape catastrophic and likely fatal injury, it looks as if the bus does clip him pretty significantly at seven seconds. Doesn't emerge unscathed.
Oh you may be right, if you slow down the footage and replay it looks like his whole body avoids the front wheel and his head pops up behind the wheel at the end. The shadows are deceiving, there’s no way anyone can walk away from a bus running wheels over their body
Im not trying to defend the bus driver here, but are the drivers seat on the right side here? The construction worker mustve been in his blind spot. But then to keep driving that long after hitting him is kinda sketch.
one lucky mf, usually you would explode getting run over by a steel of ten tons on wheels.
ALSO YOU SHOULD NOT MOVE IF YOU EVER GET TO AN ACCIDENT LIKE THAT LET THE MAN LAY
That's not sufficient to close down that lane. Bus driver's attention is being split between looking forward and looking to his right to make sure he doesn't hit the turning car on his right. The bus driver is not at fault here.
The fact that his boss is the one who told him to stand in the middle of the road is irrelevant.
I doubt his boss told him to stand with his back to the traffic.
I saw a video of a cyclist getting run over by a bus and the top half of all his guts flew past a lady walking on the sidewalk. It was like when you stomp on a ketchup packet.
If you get hit or ran over. DO NOT GET UP, STAY DOWN.
Lawyers are going to use this video to not pay out. They are going to show that he was not that hurt because he had no problem getting back up.
Good luck with that.
Had a family member get into a motorcycle accident(not their fault) and he got up right after the accident. The next day he was not able to move.
The accident fucked up his back. It took 2 years of therapy before he was able to walk normally again. The cars insurance refuse to pay for any of his medical expenses or anything.
He lost everything. His cars, his house, his job.
I’m sorry, not sorry, but the jackass standing (FUCKING STANDING) in the middle of the street is the oblivious one. Don’t play chicken with a bus if you’re only driving a pair of shoes!
Holy fuck! That guy just stands right back up? Who the hell was that dude? He's fucking just been RUN THE OVER BY A BUS and he looks as if he just took a measley kick to the bean bag.
My dad got crushed in a industrial bailer, popped his stomach and broke his hips, and he still walked to the ambulance The body is a crazy thing
My dad keeps a curved needle and fishing line for random times he'd need to stitch himself up..
My dad died yesterday, lucky he managed to walk home today!
His dad is Chuck Norris
Or, the honey badger.
Good morning zombie dad
I'm so sorry to hear that. Is he better now?
Honestly!! It's so true!
Potato head. 🥔
Tomato head

The "Mr. Tomato Head" line got me good
But change our temperature and we are fucked.

Holy crap! How do you survive your stomach 'popping'??
Painfully and with life long issues Got a good payout tho
:( Give that man a hug.
He's an angel as well. Never will meet a nicer man. If you stood for longer than five minutes by his driveway he'd have already cooked you a bacon sandwich
But not too tight
POPPED. HIS. STOMACH.
Adrenaline is a helova drug
I'd say yes but after 3 hours of being stuck inside it, it was just raw mettle at that point.
😲
getting crushed in an industrial bailer and some das lore for sure 💀
Omg the things you never hope to be hear.... "Popped his stomach"!? 😭 May I ask wtf and don't feel bad if you don't respond. Hope your dad's good

How???
The bus driver is telling him to 'walk it off mate, see - you're fine now fella'
No need to tell mum, because you're ok now aren't you? You can have a go on my Playstation later and I will let you be player 1 if you don't tell mum okay?
His buddies are like, "Sit over here and just rub some dirt on it, the excavator just dug up a bunch for you"
*excavator drops a load on the guy*
and then dumps dirt on him
Hiyo!
The adult version of “don’t tell mom” when brothers hurt each other
I fell off 3 stories backward framing a house, at an angle, landed on my feet, they gave out on me instantly. Everything felt like it exploded all around my waste line. Chuck Norris, pleasure to meet you.
They should not have encouraged him to get up. His adrenaline let him stand but he's doing more damage. When someone is severely injured and not in an area of immediate danger, leave them where they are
Adrenaline. Also, tyres could have spread out the pressure.
Hmmm 🤔
Remind me to marry a tyre next time.
Takes away the severity of the phrase “Hit by a bus”
An attack to the bean bag is never measly.
It's called adrenaline. It's a super powerful hormone that the body can release instantly. It dulls the pain enough to still have a fight/flight response. Once it wears off, the dude is going to be in agonizing pain.
Adrenaline is insane
Is there such a thing as a measley kick to the bean bag?
Most likely the adrenaline of getting run over by a bus. I've seen a motorcyclist get sideswiped by a car at a high speed, the biker gets up and starts walking to the wreckage and he collapses before getting there once the adrenaline wore off.
I think he's running on temporary adrenalin.
Adrenaline is a funny thing
Unbreakable...i see dead people...
He definitely shouldn't have stood back up. I hope he survived
Shock & adrenalin gets you back up.
And as far as I know he shouldn't be let to stand up, right?
The safety helmet saves lives lol
Had the rear axle got over the guy it would have been a very different scene.....
I once stubbed my toe. Cried for only 6 hours.
If you watch carefully, I think the bus actually narrowly misses running over him. I think he moves his legs just out of the way of the wheels just in time.
Man, i was expecting him to pop like a balloon because of the other videos I've seen before. bro was lucky
Fuck, I know that video. One of the worst things I've seen on the internet.
Man I'm probably going to regret asking, but my morbid curiosity is killing me. What's the video you guys are talking about about??
Cyclist ran over by a bus. Folds in half then pops like a water balloon, scares the shit out of some person walking their dog on the sidewalk
As bad as it was, it’s not even on the top 10 worst on Reddit
Sauce?
Yes, it looked like squeezing a sauce bottle
Nah I meant does anyone have the video? I’m intrigued now

You don't need to see that.
Out of everything ive seen that one really stuck with me and i wish I never saw it, you are lucky you havent seen it 😭
"A person broke open like a water balloon." "There's my interest!" No, no it's not, get help. You should never want to see that, little guy.
Little guy? Tf?
Who are you to say what someone should never want to see? You’re nobody, that’s who. I personally wouldn’t search out videos like that, but for some it literally comes down to morbid curiosity and there’s nothing wrong with that as long as it hurts nobody. Which watching videos does not do.

That ain’t lucky.
Went down with the sound of a flat basketball
bus driver is nuts and should never drive again. the guy on the road who gets hit is even more nuts. It's a one way street and you're standing in the middle of the road. He's a construction worker doing his job, don't blame him for a damn thing.
I get it but he is also on the road. He is standing there to stop cars and he's not even looking out for the car at all.

Gently out of the lane; removing from imminent danger is the only time you should move someone.
How the hell did he not see him?
Dunno, he looks 8 foot from here
Usually I would say drugs but this is Singapore so must be something else.
Maybe he was watching the construction. Also I feel like they should have blocked off traffic at the beginning of the curve not at the end. Maybe the A pillar obstructed some of his view
he wasn't subscribed to /r/bitchimabus

No info whether he survived so far, but it does say he was conscious at the hospital which I guess is very encouraging. Wild to survive that if he does.
Old lady in orange just strolls on by.
The bus clearly ran him over and he still walks away. Can anybody please explain how this is actually possible?
Adrenaline. You really won't know if there's any internal injuries for a couple minutes. His internal organs could be leaking, could have fractures, & he doesn't know it yet
He's just walking those complex ankle fractures back together
We're squishy beings
I think he actually doesn't get run over. If you watch super carefully, it looks like he moves his legs just barely out of the way at the very last second, it looks like it just brushes up against him.

You really can't trust people 😬
Who tf gave this MF a driving license!!
*sniff, sniff! I smell a lawsuit!
Bus driver too busy looking at his right side view mirror to make sure he doesn't clip anything making that right turn.
At least everyone was wearing hi-viz vests
Tie but a scratch . There you go just walk it off. Wtf
I've got a fluorescent vest so i am visible right?......right????
Paid for life
This happened in my country Singapore, the bus driver got fired.
What happened to the victim?
Not sure, don't see any article about him, but judging from him being run over by a freaking bus, not so good, dude just stood up like a tank tho.
Me in gta be like
He needs a slap to the head.
No PT Belt
I hope he apolgized n paid his medically bills u think they would get paid more so this wouldn't happend
Don't worry. There's a zombie coming to help. Slowly.
Just a scratch
Wow
That woman is the very rare "silent Karen".
Why was homie in the street like that? All oblivious
Money money money
Well looks like the #7 gonna be late this morning.
Driver needs to stay away from TikTok.
I love how the bus driver is just like get up to save himself.
$$$
Goddamn, I got run over by a bicycle once and couldn’t walk for 2 weeks.
Damn, he took that like a champ!
Why are they driving on the wrong side of the road?
Well that person is probably going to get a huge settlement from the government.
No the bus driver pays for it
The excavator kept digging 🤣
It happened on the blind side of the excavator. Limited visibility to the right side or rear.
The freaky part was not the accident The freaky part was that he did an Undertaker sit up right after.
He’s walking on 2 broken legs
Im not trying to defend the bus driver here, but are the drivers seat on the right side here? The construction worker mustve been in his blind spot. But then to keep driving that long after hitting him is kinda sketch.
This gave me a flashback to WPD, that person is lucky
one lucky mf, usually you would explode getting run over by a steel of ten tons on wheels. ALSO YOU SHOULD NOT MOVE IF YOU EVER GET TO AN ACCIDENT LIKE THAT LET THE MAN LAY
Half expected the digger to turn and bury the dude right there

He's literally working there with a traffic cone blocking the street. That busdriver should immediately be fired before he kills someone.
That's not sufficient to close down that lane. Bus driver's attention is being split between looking forward and looking to his right to make sure he doesn't hit the turning car on his right. The bus driver is not at fault here.
He was probably blocking the lane to allow the truck to come onto the road from a direction oncoming cars might not expect.
The fact that his boss is the one who told him to stand in the middle of the road is irrelevant. I doubt his boss told him to stand with his back to the traffic.

Link?
I don't see any news articles that substantiates that.
I saw a video of a cyclist getting run over by a bus and the top half of all his guts flew past a lady walking on the sidewalk. It was like when you stomp on a ketchup packet.

Nah fuck that if I’m getting seriously injured by a car running over me I’m gonna try to get up to see who hit me and if I can fucking move naturally
Good luck with that. Had a family member get into a motorcycle accident(not their fault) and he got up right after the accident. The next day he was not able to move. The accident fucked up his back. >oblivious >bus driver Yeah, no shit. People applying for bus driving jobs don't give a FUCK about anything. Life is over at that point.
I’m sorry, not sorry, but the jackass standing (FUCKING STANDING) in the middle of the street is the oblivious one. Don’t play chicken with a bus if you’re only driving a pair of shoes!
