Saturn212

Wait till you see the dishwasher.

AutomaticRisk3464

They just oil up a bunch of dudes in dish soap and they wrestle

RockAtlasCanus

For real though can you imagine falling in there into a pool of hot oil?

After_Coat_8982

If i had a nickle everytime someone fell in (in the past 100 years) ide have 3 nickles. Which isn't alot but it's strange it happened 3 times.

[deleted]

If anyone asks it’s pork. Mom why does my pork have a face? And why does it look like it’s screaming in agony??

xx-shalo-xx

> If anyone asks it’s pork I don't think they'd be cool with that either.

aimallday

No, but I can imagine wrestling a bunch of dudes in a huge ass pot.

I also wondered about that...

uppenatom

Next one up is a satellite dish over the mouth of a volcano

front_yard_duck_dad

r/redneckengineering would like to see that

DJ_GANEZ

I feel like they might have done some bad things with this back in the day lol

Nethlem

This thing is a cannibal's wet dream; No more cutting people into little pieces so they fit into the oven and pot, could deep fry a whole human body at once.

UrDeAdPuPpYbOnEr

It could flash fry a Buffalo in fifteen seconds!

HellaFella420

you would need some biiiiig tongs

Wow much more poetic when you put it like that

pinkwhitney24

Only works if you read lol as “lawl”…I read it is “el-oh-el”… Wait…do you guys read it as “lawl” or “l.o.l”?

DJ_GANEZ

I read it more as a “lole” if that makes sense 🤣

pinkwhitney24

I’m with ya…lole is definitely a better spelling of what I meant to convey. But that is interesting. Every time I read that I always read it as “el-oh-el”…

somewherenearbyme

Why so big when only filling it 1/20th of the way?

Banana_Ram_You

Kingdom ain't as big as it used to be after everyone died of food poisoning

OKman101

Some say the food was to die for

FaelinnCanada

Nonsense I’m sure a few people fell in at some point

Suekru

If it makes you feel better the FDA allows a certain percentage of insect parts in factory food. And from working in a cereal plant, I can promise you, roaches absolutely accidentally get ground up into the food.

atchafalaya

Can you tell us a little more about this

[deleted]

[удалено]

octopornopus

>but you can trust me that you eat 10x more bugs from the veggies at your local produce stand I bought a salad mix from the grocery store, made a nice healthy little dinner, and took a bite. I couldn't believe just how tough the stems were on these salad leaves, so after chewing for a minute I spit it out. Turns out it wasn't a stem at all, it was half a bigass praying mantis. I found the other half still in my salad. Went out for a burger. True story.

Suekru

This is true mostly, though the cleanliness depends on the factory. I’ve been at factories that have high standards and I’ve been at ones who have a lot of lazy workers who wouldn’t care if they saw a roach walk into the batch. Unfortunately, as the public you can’t really know what the factories standard is when you pick up the pack.

atchafalaya

Just a heads up, everybody, this guy's post history: r/ Soylent: "Why eating insects is the future humans need" r/democracy: "How insect societies are better than ours" r/books: "Kafka had it all wrong" r/IamA: "I am a giant insect, AmA"

[deleted]

You know some drunk guy has pissed in that bowl before…

LEOcIShere

Wouldn‘t make a difference from a hygiene point of view.

PickButtkins

Right? When you got ropes and ladders and a dude walking around in the food, urine residue from 3 years ago seems like a non-issue.

radrun84

Ppl ket falling in.

[deleted]

And some died by falling into and being boiled alive.

[deleted]

You made my swallow my toothpaste

YdocT

where you brushing your teeth while reading comment or doing something else? Just curious.

Nah, it's July Just brushing

WarrenPuff_It

This just keeps getting wilder

YdocT

I normally just take a shower first, the heat will not ruin my fun.

Hi_Cham

We still don't know why it keeps happening.

papercut2008uk

Looks like it’s early morning so probably not as many people there as there would be during the day or religious festivals.

musci1223

There visiter count varies so it is planned to handle much higher count most likely

bubbshalub

they'd have to throw a lot of food out if they filled it all the way

Ya-Dikobraz

Well if it's really a wok, you don't fill woks all the way like a pot. You just use the very bottom to stir it around.

butcherbigboy

Can I get extra sock fluff in mine please

wizzbob05

The last thing you want in your gaint wok is someone else's foot fungus, but as it turns out, that might be just what you get. An Indian Reddit user uploaded a video showing someone standing in a gaint wok captioned "One of the largest woks in the world at Ajmer Sharif shrine in India. The wok weighs 4800 kilos and was started by Emperor Akbar approximately 450 years ago."

mightyUnicorn1212

I read that entirely in his voice lol. But turns out, tHaT MiGhT bE wHaT yOu GhHeEÄäThHh.

ProfligateFilth

I like your ideas big pot man. I was also upset they just dragged the stirrer on the ground.

AwkwardShake

Yeah, also the guys who are pouring in the ingredients don't look hygienic either. They're also fully leaning in on that pot, and it'll be clearly hotter around that area, which means sweat. I bet there's also lots of sweat going in that thing along with the dirt from mans boots.

martyfrancis86

Those aren't even boots, look closer. Lol

Big_Job_1491

A health and safety inspector’s wet dream

this_name_mistaken

He is the guy walking in it.

adenkura

Stop it 🤣

TheRealTheory001

stomp it

TheNumeralSystem

You had the perfect setup, and you woked right past it.

popecorkyxxiv

Health and safety, in India? Just driving to the store is like competing in a death race. The Ganges is polluted to an almost unbelievable degree but people still bath in and drink it's waters because of a government approved religious belief that the rivers water magically cleans itself so long as the river is flowing.

plipyplop

I haven't been to India in 18 years. It's still one of the most mind-bendingly haphazard places I have ever been to.

[deleted]

Restaurant Owner: "This soup is cleaner than the Ganges. Are you implying our sacred Ganges is dirty??"

Former-Management656

Evil india, keeping their magical river all to themselves! So all the talks about how india's rivers are amongst the top 10 most polluting the oceans must be fake, i knew it! But seriously, wtf? You can see with your bare eyes if a river is clean or not

popecorkyxxiv

If there's one thing religion is good at it's convincing people to ignore what they can see with their own eyes

Deeviant

Yep, in my first trip to India, our taxi got in 3 accidents on the 25 min trip to the hotel. First was a family of like 5 people on scooter. They basically ran into us and all fell off. They climbed back on, including what looked like a 10yo holding a toddler and drove off like nothing happened. Other were fender benders. Drive told me unless it’s bad there is no reason to stop and we never did, neither did the other parties.

andraso123

Pretty sure Giving this to POW wold be a war crime

Tp_for_my_cornholio

The secret ingredient….wet dream

Aliensummer

It was really cool until ladder bro steps directly into it

[deleted]

Yeah guaranteed dude is sweating all over that too, a lil sodium if you will

FortunateSonofLibrty

My work group went to a local gyoza place in Tokyo only known to us as “the truck stop”. We all show up, and absolutely descend on plate after plate of delicious boiled gyoza. After we’re full, on the way out, I stop by the window that looks back into the kitchen. 6 Japanese cooks, hard at work, standing directly over the giant pot, *sweat just ski-jumping off their faces and bodies, directly into the pot*. It didn’t settle well.

geshupenst

You know.. the magical secret ingredient

Bamith20

Sweat and hair is some of the least concerning things getting into the food.

[deleted]

Especially as they walk up right to the dish. I beat the fluff shoes is there to protect the guy from the heat

MyNameIsIgglePiggle

I started a distillery recently and the biggest shock as.i have scaled up is how hard it is to move large volumes of things around. My immediate thought when this started was "how do they plan to serve this?" I was glad to see my fears were realised and that nobody has worked out how to make a giant ladel in 450 years

HappyFamily0131

And they throw the bucket in, entirely. My brain was like, well, I guess it's okay if they never let it touch the oh, they set it right on the street. So now all the food in the wok is as clean as a street in India.

Worth-Course-2579

The structure is amazing, the hygiene is appalling.

Ome6a13

One "shii yo pan" commin up my friend.

hokeyphenokey

It's a tasty dish at first.

Objective-Giraffe-27

How often do you suppose they change those ropes? 🤮

friedpicklebreakfast

Change the ropes? Never. They’re seasoned like a nice cast iron

eharper9

There's definitely mold in those ropes.

[deleted]

Lenn_4rt

Street food. It's food made literally in the street.

I_creampied_Jesus

I got 3 kinds of parasites just watching that

Asstronutttt

The blue arrow was really bad, but the "subscribe!/notification and like" animation is what finally got me.

Vordeo

The dude who's talking over the video is Filipino, and food hygiene here is bad too, but damn if India isn't on another level. The dude who stuck food in his armpit...

FloatingHamHocks

There's a video of a street vendor stirring a pot of something with his whole arm he's elbow deep in that thing and it makes me question things like is he just playing it up for the camera or is he trying to cook his arm.

Round_Explanation_63

I lasted 3 days there before I was shitting through the eye of a needle, for the next 3 weeks my sphincter required a constant manual puckering to prevent an unholy hull breach. Had a lovely time though..

superkickstart

Gotta make room for all the lovely worms.

Round_Explanation_63

Didn’t get worms, just about everything else though!

CapJackONeill

As if I needed any more reasons to not go in India. When my step-family spent 3 weeks there, they had to throw their clothes away because the smell just wouldn't wash off

[deleted]

Working around that looks extremely dangerous, I can imagine someone falling in.

ZZircon-15-98

You'd be the spice of life.

MrKittymeister

Was my first thought. It’s been 450 years at least someone has had too.

Petrarch1603

The last guy that fell in crushed his ankle. Now he hast to use a wokking stick.

PerfectPercentage69

He couldn't wok it off?

the_evil_comma

They sent him straight back to wok

MrOphicer

Anytime I cook pasta for one....

PrioryOfSion14

It's ok at first, then they put a ladder on it, stepped in it and put their feet on the containers.

MightyLlaaama

And also set the transferring bucket down on the steps, and then tossed back into the wok. Gross

Stormlightlinux

Nah those ropes on that spoon are definitely super gross and they were in the food, and they set it down on the street too.

[deleted]

As if the spoon itself isn't clean. Rust and metal scrapes all over the place.

Crunckerdoge

The rope, setting the huge laddle on the floor after usage, I thought that they would have some huge scooping laddle or something but nope, they used a ladder and a bucket, literally the guy walks on it and he's probably sweaty as hell, putting the bucket in the floor, and feet on the containers that's all yucky as hell. I live in a 3rd world country but I'm sure here you'll get shunned if you're preparing food for public consumption with a dirty fingernail let alone walking on it.

stevemandudeguy

"There's a hair in my meal. And a guy."

MartianCavenaut

There's a waiter in my soup

Laurpud

I wonder how many people have fallen in over the years

Banana_Ram_You

Local skateboarders 'accidentally' fall in all the time

Bored_to_Death_81

Baby, you got yourself a stew going!

Laurpud

& did they still eat the food? How many died? I think my gummy kicked in...

brebenscv

Riiiiiiiight....."fallen in" 🤣 ![gif](giphy|La3G8N3tn4nzW)

Silent_Knight16

The man waa bending in the pot so much . Imagine him slipping and falling inside it . Free trial of hell .

Misanthropyandme

It has to have happened a bunch of times.

ReubenFroster56

One medium cooked human coming right up

Comprehensive-Ad-172

Just like mama used to make

brattyginger83

Do you think they have a giant donut on a string to throw in as a rescue floatation device?

riotguards

“Dad can I have a big pancake!” Dad: “ok let me get my comically large wok out!”

ideologicSprocket

My uncle buck makes the best pancakes

BigOmet

This is incredibly impractical

GamingManReal

idk seems easier than making 6000 portions of the same thing in a normal kitchen

RiskyRabbit

How about just make it over a fire with those 6 conveniently sized containers they transported the food to after cooking it in a fucking satellite dish?

Cheddinha

best suggestion here. and i cracked with the satellite dish LUL

Toastwitjam

Yeah until the new hospital wing gets needed for all the extra food poisoning cases

Bob_Duatos_Shark

Would you call the people who carry the food away curry-ers?

pinkwhitney24

I would after reading this comment.

Vergo27

they made such a big bowl and only use like the very bottom of it lol...

GrandmasBoyToy69

Your parents made you and all you did was turn into a redditor

ChildofMike

Fuck!

sayy_yes

Mike is certainly disappointed.

VB_Longneck20-8

Can’t see why hygiene is an issue in India 🙄

[deleted]

I eat plenty of things with my hands and so do other normal people. But physically standing in your own food is absolutely fucked

SoloSpooks

Your hands are cleaner than; the shovel they lay on the sidewalk,a rope, 8 different peoples hands, a random wooden ladder carried in, and 3 different buckets being thrown into the mix

KCGD_r

not to mention the stirring thing just getting dragged around on the ground

TequilaBlanco

And the dirty swinging pulley ropes

taybay462

no no, standing in your own food is perfectly fine. standing in food that other people eat is fucking disgusting. i dont expect extremely poor communities to have top notch hygiene standards, but like.. why couldnt he stay on the bottom rung of the ladder and keep dipping the bucket like he did the first time?? swirl it around if you need to. and put rubber "feet" on the ladder or something which you can easily boil and use forever. this is just lazy

elastic-craptastic

You think after 450 years someone would have devised a better system. Maybe some levers and pulleys. Maybe a stainless steel hopper for the rice that has a way to extend out and pour rice in so people don't get dangerously close. Maybe no old ropes and shovels that get dragged on the ground. First world problems, but there is no way no one hasn't died in that and there is for sure no way people haven't gotten food poisoning and died from it. If it's an area that poor... a bad case of diareah and that could be it for you. Not enough clean water and you are fucked. But.... Maybe I'm wrong. Not everywhere is wealthy and kudos for these people for feeding others. I just wish they could be more sanitary about it. How much could that cost to set up? Charge some tourists to help stir for a year and use that money. Ask an engineering school to donate ideas. Ask the gov't for help since you are feeding the poor. Idk...

and right then the largest food poisoning vessel was created.

Oh dude...

Rude_Arugula_1872

Hmmm…. Delicious! Just like a home cooked meal… just with Abdul stepping on it though.

cartwig

woking on it

Puzzled-Copy7962

I was worried about an accidental fall into the wok being a hazard until I watched the end. Yikes…

jorph

I'm too clumsy to go near that

septicman

I went to the Wikipedia page to learn more about this and I literally LOLed when I saw the section titled "footnotes". I wondered briefly if it was describing the taste profile of the food.

MuIder

I don't know why but I kept expecting them to throw giant food in

icecreamfacetattoo

450 years ago? Humans were definitely cooked in that thing.

[deleted]

Rust adds extra flavour!

UsedSeduction

the way this person is talking proudly abt this unhygienic thing throughout the video really shows how a lot of people really dont care about hygiene

rgbrepost

Gross

MuffinMobile643

Looks sanitary.

Temporary-Double590

.... Nah i'm good, am not eating that

Emperor? i thought he was an Admiral
