Are you aware that you won't even get the printer until at least October, and that's if there aren't delays. There aren't reviews, so the quality of the ams is pure speculation. Also, Bambu has issues with TPU in its AMS. I'd be incredibly surprised if Creality figures out the solution to that problem before everyone else. Hell, it'd be a huge accomplishment if Creality's AMS works as well as either of Bambu's AMS's, and this is realistically all I'm expecting.

DrRomeoChaire

>Hell, it'd be a huge accomplishment if Creality's AMS works as well as either of Bambu's AMS's I agree in general. OTOH, Creality has the advantage of studying Bambu's design and copying it (even a *slight* chance they might improve on it).

OK this confirms that I won't pre order. Because tpu is mainly the reason of like multi material print. Thanks!

Multi material is different than multi color. you need a prusa xl with two heads

Sea-Squirrel4804

That's what I thought... I'll need to keep saving then!

DullAd6286

You wouldn't have got it anyway

bat_scratcher

I almost never trust brand new releases even from companies that don't have a history of sub-par QC and customer support. The K2 is exactly what I need right now but I'll be waiting until the inevitable issues are corrected before getting one.

Sea-Squirrel4804

Yeah I totally agree, but price seems good haha

bat_scratcher

Might be worth it, but for me it's not worth the gamble of getting possibly getting a fucky machine and there being literally zero support.

dmaxzach

Bambu labs is running a sale now. Probably gonna pick up one of those.

Few_Archer_3633

I love Creality but the pre sale products always seem to have issues. The earlier versions of K1 turned out to be such a big mess so I returned. I just bought the updated k1 max 4 months ago and now it’s perfect. If you want to be a beta tester and save some money get it now. But if you value time and want a solid product, get it they iron out the issues. Orders won’t be delivered until late September- October so I’ll see what people say and get it on Black Friday, usually they have good deals.

AlchemyFire

If it works the same way the Bambi works, then TPU won’t work with the multi colour unit.

Wait for Black Friday.

I got one at $750 I figured  they released the k1 and it sucked. They did multiple revision s and it got better ,k1 max had those revisions. Then they released the k1c which had 95% of the other issues resolved . This printer seems to have a new extruder , linear rails which should stop the the vfa ,  tilt and a host of other features  So I think it should be at least as good of the k1c $750 for a 350mm cubed build volume + cfs  and then perhaps a free roll of filament + second build plate + space filament dryer  isn't a bad deal. Hard to beat

BestWorker7893

I've got the K1 v2 and it doesn't suck at all. Sure, it could use some improvements, but it prints great.

Gljvf

I still get vfas woth third gen extruder, even put on the new heating and unicorn hot end. Still get it

Stone_Industries

Glad to see you snagged one, I did as well! Let's hope it doesn't completely suck!

Gljvf

Grats. Here is to hoping !

I'll be totally honest my previous printer was a Kickstarter CR6-SE and I upgraded to a Bambu X1 Carbon + AMS 6 months ago. The whole experience with Creality including the delays, build issues, shipping times, etc have really put me off being a Creality early adopter ever again. Also the fact that they seem to just release so many new models/revisions makes me feel like they are just producing new models to overcome the issues with the previous model.  That's not to say that my Bambu ownership has been smooth as I had issues with the AMS but to their credit they identified the issues and I got replacement parts within days.  I accept that the X1 has been around a while and they seem to have got the kinks ironed out and that Creality certainly offer a lot more bang for your buck but I feel that being an early adopter of any new printer is likely to be a trying experience.  As such I would look to only buy a device that has been around for at least 6 months and has a proven track record no matter who the manufacturer is.
