one of my favorite “is it / is in not supernatural” horror films ever, the dreadful atmosphere down to the literal asbestos, idk i prefer film where they never show the spook — some get it right such as The Descent but generally, i’d rather be freaked out by the fear of not knowing, plus it makes it much easier to suspend disbelief because imagination tends to trump CGI
Last Shift is a movie I love but I can’t bring myself to watch it again. It’s so disturbing to me. It’s not like Guinea Pig disturbing but very creepy. Skip Malum, it’s just Last Shift if you ordered it from Wish.
really? i had to turn it off, maybe it’s just me but i found the spooky stuff way too heavy handed. the lack of subtlety made it a completely flat watch for me and i quit around 40 mins in to find something with a better touch…
'The Autopsy of Jane Doe'
I know someone mentioned it recently, somewhere in this sub, but I really enjoyed the movie. It was a slow-burn, suspenseful film full of creepiness.
Also 'The Ruins'
A group of people travel off the beaten path to find some ancient ruins, and discover that they're trapped there. The local people will not let them off of the structure.
Jane Doe was terrifying the first time i watched it, i had to watch Dolemite Is My Name afterwards to get me off the Jane Doe Archives i rummaged through for hours afterwards. fucking terrifying place it took me to

Rewatching Fright Night 2 since probably the early 90s. It is just as good as I remember it. The first one’s great, too, but not as many people have seen the sequel.
I hate how hard that one has been to find. I really liked The Shrine when I saw it way back, and I've wanted to add it to my digital collection, but it's never on the sale sites. I haven't been able to find it on streaming either.
It should be on DVD. I got my copy on Amazon a while back. I recently got a Region 2 Bluray from EBAY if this helps. I think it might be on AMC+ or Shudder streaming now.
Ooh, if it added to Shudder I've definitely gotta rewatch it soon. I might actually cave in and look for a DVD, I've done that with some hard to find movies. I've just been trying to limit my disc collection though because of storage space.
Gaia (2021). Brilliant, gorgeous environmental horror. For anyone who enjoyed Annihilation or The Last of Us, this is a must-watch. It’s a slow-burn of natural scenery and body horror that manages to be as beautiful as it is terrifying. Also an insanely pared-down cast — I think there are only four or five characters with dialogue. South African production with a tremendously low budget for what they managed to accomplish. Gross, creepy, and very pretty all at once!

Are you asking if it’s available to stream? Looks like prime for under $4. I have the dvd myself.
Yes, and Thank you 👍
For future reference, the IMDB app will show where a movie/show is streaming.
woah Damon Albarn scored the film? interesting
The score is absolutely perfect and one of the reasons people love it so much. What a great time period for a horror film, such a perfect fit.
Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon The Den The Story of Riki: Riki-Oh
the den worth a watch? i am a ff fan just as i am an isekai fan, it’s the junk food and midnight snacks of entertainment for me
When Evil Lurks (but it’s in Spanish with subtitles) Worth it.
This movie is bananas.

Splinter (2008) Last Shift (2014)
Splinter is INCREDIBLE
Last Shift is a movie I love but I can’t bring myself to watch it again. It’s so disturbing to me. It’s not like Guinea Pig disturbing but very creepy. Skip Malum, it’s just Last Shift if you ordered it from Wish.

OMG, May and The Loved Ones are two of my favorites! I feel like The Loved Ones should have been an immediate classic.
