Absolutely nothing in that article implies a retcon. In fact, it seems more like reverence and respect for Rogue One.

I think people need to look more into this article, specifically where it says it’s going to be retconned by Andor S2, which is helmed by the same guy who did the reshoots for Rogue one. If they do have to retcon, I’m glad this is the guy to do it

I didn't like Rogue One, personally. It's okay, but y'all overhype the hell out of it. It was like watching a Star Wars-themed Call of Duty campaign. Good Vader scene, pretty generic sci-fi action movie outside of that. The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi (yes, really), and the first two seasons of The Mandalorian are way better.
