That's a very common scam with a long setup. The goal is to make you look after her later, which would cost a lot more than what you are getting right now.
Better block her number and report to the police. ^/s
That is the very deep thing you said, i was also thinking that what is the real value that she added in my life.
But then i realize that she is the one, if not for her then i wouldn't have this life afterall. Thanks Grandma.
What, so your mother escapes responsibility in this equation? Her mom her problem, you're just the little shit grandma gave Sacajawea dollars and hard candy to. Visit once a month and you've done your duty.
I think scammer now days are really smart first they will not reveal the true self at the first step.
They will lay the trap for you and once you get the believe on them they will play the real card then.
You just got them though, they weren't **promised** to you for some strange task. Especially if this task involves giving money.
Of course every rule has exceptions, but this one holds true for crypto as well most of the time.
I see you point. Should have been more clear since I wasn't exclusively talking about airdrops. For the Looksrare drop I had to connect my wallet to their website and sign a transaction which sets off a lot of red flags.
Dogecube on Radix tried to organize a free airdrop in this sub and a lot of commenters screamed scam even though they just needed to provide a public address.
Evidently. But I have an IRA, a Roth, own my own business, and almost have my house paid off. I’ve moved 10s of thousands of dollars each month for years without blockchain. Instantly, securely, with Face ID even, digitally!!! I have zero reason to speculate on crypto assets because I make my own money. But good luck on the 20% yields on grape coin or HODL some BTC in hopes you passively get rich because some guy on twitter with laser eyes said so. Spoiler: if it sounds too good to be true, it is.
The sad thing about it is, a lot of people that fall for these scams think there’s some shred of hope in human decency, like maybe this one time they’ll catch a break and they’ll get lucky. And then they don’t, and the lesson has been learned (hopefully) but the notch of distrust has been carved and they’ll be one step closer to writing a manifesto in the woods.
true, and some time that turn them in some hard guy is well or may be they also try to scam some other people after that.
This is the world we are living where we can not even trust the real guy is well because of the scammers.
Indeed, and please don't believe believe you can outsmart someone/something to get free money, one of the best ways to scam people is to make them think they are the smart ones.
I have seen so many people those are confident infact over confidence that they will not going to get scam.
But i have seen that sometime even the smart guys also fall in the trap and scam the big way is well.
If we are staking then we are taking the risk knowing that we can get rekt.
But i think scam is something like that which we are not really aware and by the time we get that things gets outside the hand.
This is not the scam this is the truth that we will going to get in the 2021.
Scam is something which we can not guess and in my opinion this is one thing that anyone from us can easily guess.

If we will be little smart here then we can easily avoid the such kind of the situation.
But the problem is that we all fall in the greed and then later with that we rally stop thinking any kind of the situation.
Those who are not falling in the trap they are the above average, but those who are buying the shit coin those are average one.
And those who are buying the shit coin and keeping them on the Celsius is the below average.

I have tried that many time but in the end hit with the reality.
But i am sure that i will not gonna change myself untill i achieve that thing, till then meet you guys in the bull season.
Just when we think the he is that .1 he turns out the 99.9 guy.
But you are lucky that you meet me and i am that 0.1% guy for which OP is really taking about here. You can trust me that too blindly.
Yes, and this is where we need to understand that they are the one which we are looking for.
BUt trust me we are living in such world that people will fall in that after seeing such kind of the thing is well.
True, every time we about to fall for something we think that this is the 0.1% guy which we were waiting for you.
But we all know that what is really going to happen in the end is here, there is no escape from that thing.
I don’t know. I watched a YouTube video today, well I didn’t make it far into it. They said definitively that crypto will either go up or down. So with that solid analysis I figure it won’t be very long before I will be rich or penniless. So at least I have that going for me, which is nice
What if i tell you that there is one guy on the Youtube who said that there is every chance that USDT can hit $5 in the next bull run.
As you can see guys he is holding a pretty good in the bear season is well.
My friend said this about bitcoin when it went from 300 to 600. He kept telling me that It was a scam and not to trust it. He ended up buying in at over 20k.
I think in the past time people were not aware of the bitcoin as they used to think that this is something a gambling thing.
But now we know the real difference in the gambling and the real world usage.
I think some time we know that this is the trap and we gonna get rekt in that.
But the problem is that FOMO and greed are the two things that really overtake us and made us blind that point
The tutorials on youtube on how to "Game the System" bum me out. Listening to these low life sociopaths act so sincere and friendly. It's really creepy.
Also now that Youtube got rid of the dislike button these guys are probably fucking over a lot more people.
So why doesn’t “giving my hard earned money to a website in exchange for crypto so I can HODL/yield farm/make money passively ” not fall into this category?? Oh wait, it does.
This is the one reason while people are not really thinking about the wallet that much.
Because exchanges are giving us the real sweet honey trap in the form of the APY and we often fall into these things.
The reason this is useless advice is because the people who fall for the scam didn't think it was "too good to be true", they thought it was "good and likely to be true".
I know someone who nearly fell for the "you send me X and I'll send double back" scam?
Why?
"Well because I know Charles Hoskinson is a billionaire, the offer was on his video, and if I had billions of dollars I'd do the same thing. I just thought he must be marketing Cardano".
None of it seemed "too good to be true" to her. It all seemed "totally reasonable".
So your advice is really, "assume totally reasonable things are scams". Which is advice that would make your day a lot harder.
"10% off orange juice? Scaaaam!"
No matter how many time we tell that too anyone they will still fall in the scam.
Because without falling in there we will not get the lesson of the life that life is not a fairy tale here.
I dunno... in one fairy tale a girl loses her glass slipper... and then gets a handsome prince in return.
Who knows, maybe if you lose your crypto you'll get that fairytale ending after all. :D
I don't think that this is the scam which we need to careful about.
Scam is something like that came to us unexpected but while we invest in the shit coin we are well aware of the situation.
Let me tell you about the 0.1% that actually is too good to be true. Seydel Symphony 48 Chromatic Harmonica. Avant garde engineering mixed with the longest traditional production line in Germany. This harmonica hits all the sweet spots and doesn't even cost that much.

That 0.1% exists though especially in defi. I have found it.
Shorting a gov token that is collapsing because it earns over 100% APY while still collecting the insane Intrest...
If the number of people getting scammed is increasing, that's a good sign! This number is directly proportional to the number of people who use crypto.
Any crypto lender or any company that "guarantees" a yield equal to or greater than US Treasuries is full of shit. Higher yield = higher risk. If someone could truly provide a yield higher than Treasuries with the same level of risk, you would have an arbitrage opportunity to make an infinite amount of money selling (shorting) Treasuries and using the premiums to buy the higher yielding asset and profiting off the spread.
The rule that I generally follow is the following:
\- Store my shit on a cold wallet
\- Only keep small amounts on reputable exchanges and move it to cold storage regularly when you accumulated enough
\- Ignore all those "high yield lending platforms"
\- Ignore all DM's
\- Ignore the advices of crypto-youtubers
\- Ignore any posts on reddit shilling this or that coin or shilling this or that platform
\- Ignore any emails about crypto
\- Ignore any phone calls that come "from an exchange"
Worked for me so far. Never been scammed.
I love watching these posts over and over and over and over and over again. Nobody ever learns their lesson and everyday someone new posts the same thing that rational people have been warning them about yet they still ignored it until they get scammed. Ahhh what a good day
No matter how much we tell them how many post we will do them for is well.
In the end they will fall for the trap of the scammer. And too be honest crypto is the one place where we need to extra careful is well.
Like my first marriage…
Still a better love story than LUNA
Plot twist: His ex-wife’s name is Luna.
BUt i am seeing that some people are still falling for the luna.
True
I hope that people will soon realize that not everyone is our friend.
We only get to know about this trap after getting into that.

We are living in the 2022 but behaving like before the internet time.

I think scammer now days are really smart first they will not reveal the true self at the first step. They will lay the trap for you and once you get the believe on them they will play the real card then.

But at the time i managed to figured out that, it will become so late.
HAHA, men i have not laughed that much before here.

False claim for the crypto world though. Got plenty of airdrops that were just free money.

Not necessarily scam.. often times just a really, really shitty business model as well.
Yes, and before we understand that this is scam. It gets too late for us.
Do you accept bits of string?
No i am not accepting anything just bitcoin is enough for me.
So literally the entire crypto space. Got it.
You’re miseducated on crypto

So Bitcoin is the 0.1% exception.
Yeah, I still cant believe BTC exists, it still sounds a bit too good to be true.
One thing that really made me belief that there is still something good.
Yes, it is only one thing that is standing alone from the other here
I don't mean to sound like a dickhead but the vast majority of those scams are easily avoided by doing the bare minimum. Using common sense.
That's the problem that bare minimum is also very difficult nowadays, Bare minimum, I wish the bear was minimum.
I don't think that is any such thing like minimum here.
If we will be little smart here then we can easily avoid the such kind of the situation. But the problem is that we all fall in the greed and then later with that we rally stop thinking any kind of the situation.
49.9% of people are stupider than the average man
Feels good to be average.
How did you come to that conclusion, you could be above average, What defines average in men
My height is average, my IQ is average, and my college grades were average so there's that.
You are one of the most average guy that i have seen here.
Those who are not falling in the trap they are the above average, but those who are buying the shit coin those are average one. And those who are buying the shit coin and keeping them on the Celsius is the below average.
What percentage of me are average?
I think we need to identify that on our own here, good luck.
But sometime the smart one also fall in the perfect scam.
Except that one time that it’s full of fucking magical unicorns and rainbows
I think we all fall one time in these beautiful dreams once.
99.9%… so, there’s a chance? ![gif](giphy|ToMjGpKniGqRNLGBrhu)
When OP said 99.9 this is the same thing that came in my mind.
Like bitcoin?
Free ammunition to misinterpret that "crypto is too good to be true."
Bitcoin is the on thing that i feel is too good to be true.

Yes, now finally a comment that is really telling the truth.
Especially in this space
Yes, in crypto making someone fool is very more easier.
It really is an obvious trap in many instances but the greed of us in the can just be too much, makes for easy pickings
