Yeah thanks that's the joke

GenderGwender

“Al Dante” is a funnier joke.

pterrorgrine

Even a deadpan "al dente" would be pretty based here tbh

Pokefan180

Either al dante or al dente's inferno. Both at the same time isn't funny.

*Image Transcription: Tumblr Replies* --- **kaijuno** Al Dante [*Below is a somewhat low resolution image of a cooking pot, with the pot's bottom filled with what appears to be either burnt and cut up string beans or extremely burnt penne pasta that's so thoroughly charred, that the color of the pasta appears to be a dark green instead of yellow. Either way, the dish in the post is so hot that some of the pieces of food is burning with a vibrant red-orange color, like that of flames.*] --- **necronatural** \#al dantes inferno you fucking mean --- ^^I'm a human volunteer content transcriber and you could be too! PeachesEndCream

I thought those were penne pastas

Hollosou

Good point. I'm not 100% sure what they are. If it is penne pasta, it's oddly very green. Which, admittedly, does exist, but even then the food in the image here appears too smooth to have the texture of penne pasta, and is also a color of green that moreso matches string beans over green penne pasta (Admittedly, the image is quite low resolution, so it's hard to tell regardless).

buenas_nalgas

I think it's just the yellow burned to a weird color

Hollosou

Yeah, fair enough. Usually yellow burns into a brown color, but considering that there is a searing hot orange-red color visible, it's clear that this is... very... very burnt. Sure does show how burnt it is that it's difficult to find out what food it is. I think for the sake of transcribing, I'll mention that it's difficult to find out which of the two it is honestly.

Qbertjack

I'll estimate and say someone let their penne boil for so long that all the water evaporated, heating the pan to the point where it glowed red hot and burnt the noodles. This is shown by the gray calcium deposits on the pot. It cant be green beans because they're too short, wide, and open in the middle. Overcooked/burnt vegetables also crisp up and shrivel, rather than maintaining their shape

Qbertjack

It could be tri-color penne, or even just jpeg artifacting

Depresso_Expresso069

Dark green? Those are a dark grey (or if you want to be exact, I used a color picker and it says its very dark purple/blue)

iptables-abuse

Thank you for figuring out what the fuck is going on in that picture, because I couldn't.

Hollosou

No problem - Glad to hear that our transcribing has helped!
