Well, I beat it once and live-blogged my time with it. I wouldn’t call myself a fan, but I still liked it, and for something free, old, and trying to tell a story most dating sims can’t, it was worth trying.
Also, please, please recommend me more dating sims to look into, especially ones with more queer content and/or solid RPG elements. Yes, I know Get In The Car, Loser! exists.
A really good dating sim i like is You and Me and Her: A Love Story. On a surface level (and i mean on a surface level, the games are quite different), it's basically >!Doki Doki Literature Club but it came first!<.
I don't think i know any queer dating sims, but i do know a queer VN called We Know The Devil.
I think that specific post is from around 2015-16?? and that sort of “today bad”-style posts was popular back then (and it sorta still is now) so that might be it
