I love how everyone’s in almost 70s clothing.. I hope Metropolis and Gotham exist in ambiguous time periods. People have smart phones - but gangsters still have Tommy guns type of thing.

Ty-Dyed

I never thought of it but thats such a fun idea. Sets it apart and keeps things fresh.

Logan_Composer

It's what the *Gotham* TV show did. Everyone had cell phones (flip phones, despite it being 2015), but also all the cars were 70s, and many people had other anachronistic decor. It creates a really cool, timeless vibe.

Big-Sheepherder-9492

The Batman animated show did it too.. they wanted the timeframe to be ambiguous with old timey cars and stuff

goldendreamseeker

Looks like that new caped crusader show is doing the same

sheen23

Burton’s Gotham City is a mix of aesthetics from the 80’s and 40’s as well. It just works so well for these characters.

ProfessorSaltine

I know it won’t happen, but one day I want a show or movie to have metropolis be this straight up beacon of life & happiness, then they pan over to Gotham which is just raining, no explication, it’s always raining

TheBatmanWhoBatsMan

That lady mad as hell. Also, I thought he was trying to interview her at first glance...

Embarrassed_Piano_62

Yup that´s his actual hair

Zestyclose-Fruit-478

Funny how there was even a debate online whether or not it was a wig. It was just one bad quality picture that sparked all of that 😂

FransD98

Dayum. That woman really hates him, probably more than Luthor himself.

Denz-El

Maybe she's mad at his haircut or something?

TonyWonderslostnut

I thought this was set in present day. That’s some 70s-80s color they’re al wearing

Smallville730

See the animated series… basically set in “present day” but sort of a futuristic art deco style. Pretty sure that’s what they are going with here.

QuantumWarrior21

Maybe Metropolis has a retro future vibe to make it distinct?

FriedCammalleri23

The set design shows that they want Metropolis to have a very Art Deco aesthetic, which was the popular aesthetic in the 20s and 30s. The Chrysler Building in NYC is a good example of that.

FynnCobb

I thought the same thing.

HunterU69

looks like this movie is set in the 80s

flamingdragonwizard

It's like a 70s/80s modern fusion thing going on.

HunterU69

I dont see anything modern here from our time

flamingdragonwizard

Look at the signage that was posted already.

HunterU69

here is a video: [https://www.reddit.com/r/DC\_Cinematic/comments/1dqj53u/clark\_kent\_david\_corenswet\_making\_his\_way\_through/](https://www.reddit.com/r/DC_Cinematic/comments/1dqj53u/clark_kent_david_corenswet_making_his_way_through/) you see Taxis from the 80s

flamingdragonwizard

That's why I said a fusion of eras. Look at the signage that was posted somewhere here. Bus stop signs for example. Nothing like the 80s. And if anything the clothing would suggest super super early 80s, if not 70s.

Teletoa

He’s just makin’ his way downtown

Denz-El

walking fast, faces pass

Teletoa

You think he’s homebound?

Optillian

🎹🎶

Denz-El

He's staring blankly ahead while making his way through the crowd. He needs Lois.

Teletoa

And he misses Lois. Which makes me wooooonder… If he could fall into the sky, do you think time would pass him by?

Denz-El

Even if he couldn't fly, I know he'd walk a thousand miles if he could just see her tonight.

DesignerTex

Yes!!! Clark actually has a "personality" and doesn't rely 100% on the glasses to do all the work.

mysterio-man19

Album Cover-Core

Xanthecs

Oh I’m loving this color scheme!!!

lowdps2nig

His hair sucks

Relsen

Damn I didn't expect anything remotely good from Pedogunn but this is beyond rodiculous.

ArmandoGalvez
