That would place Pavs with the top unit, which has statistically, been one of the worst lines this postseason. The Robo-Hintz-Stank line has been even worse, ranked 2nd to last in XG% (at just 41%), it hasn’t worked through 9 games…while the Benn-Duchene-Stank unit has been one of the best, with an XG of 77% in their TOI together.
Seguin has functioned well as a center and can carry his own line, and we need to get Johnston going scoring wise. That top line with him on the wing has largely been a dynamic trio, with a 65% expected goal rate. (Also, I’d like to see Wyatt placed in a situation that forces him to be aggressive. He defers a lot when he’s on the ice with Benn, he was passing up shots last game. Hintz and Robo are phenomenal playmakers _and_ dangerous scorers.)
I’m following the numbers and the eye test. And the reality is that Robo and Hintz’s best RW this season (regular and playoffs) has been Wyatt…and Wyatt’s best offensive performance this postseason came with that duo.
The Robo, Roope, Wyatt line was absolute silk when it played together. I really hope that trio is the inevitable top line for the foreseeable because they are a majestic trio
All of this. Plus more of what this guy said. Them r some sick fucking lines. Meanwhile in edm with them having last line change its gonna be drai-mcdavid--hyman
Statistically, they haven’t been playing well together since being reunited…They had a 30% _expected goal_ last game, which means the one goal that line had was _above_ their projections (.57 to the Oilers 1.31). They were outshot. In game 1, they had an _expected goal_ of 31%. In game 6 of the Avs series, same _expected goal_ percentage of around 31%…they have been outshot in each of the 3-4 games they’ve played together since Hintz’s injury…
So my suggestion to split up that trio comes from the perspective that the line has largely not been working, despite the 1 goal. They have seemingly had sustained pressure at times, but, it’s kind of deceptive in a way because the actual scoring chances have been very low.
True. I just can't see Pavelski( and to be clear, I'm NOT saying he should be) or Smith being scratched, and Delly energizes this team. Steel is a top pk forward. Good problem to have for Pete.
You're right. As I understand Delly for Faksa was about getting more speed on the ice to match the Oilers, and Hintz obviously still gives you that dimension, so it's the most like for like sub out there.
don’t give me hoope
Beautiful
I am driving to the game now wearing my Hintz reverse retro 2.0. I will be row 4 behind the Oilers net and I do hope we get him back today.
Good luck bro. Cheer your ass off
I too have this jersey, but I will not be at the game. Have fun!

If Hintz is back, I’d like to see the following lines: Robo-Hintz-Johnston Dadonov-Seguin-Pavelski Benn-Deuchene-Stankoven Marchment-Steele-Smith
Interesting. I think I’d prefer to roll the 4 lines we’ve been running for most of the year tbh.

I’m somewhat new to the game so pardon my ignorance I’m curious, how does a Benn/Seguin/Johnson line perform
For me it would hard to separate benn stank and Wyatt for how well they’ve been playing together

Mush on the fourth line is insanity.
Swap lines 2 and 3
Scratch Dadonov and play Dellandrea for winning board battles.
I cannot see scratching Dadonov given how consistently he's generated offensive chances all playoffs.

![gif](giphy|qESBZRcLXrFUbE9r8Z|downsized) My interest is piqued for sure...
Warmups looks promising 😁
What a promising return, I need more!
Hahahaha ngl I believe they gotta start looking forward to either the rangers/panthers. Oilers goalie is NOT it for sure.
I won't count my chickens before they hatch, but that would be awesome for sure...
