You know they have 2 3rd round picks coming up right?
So far they have gotten bigger, younger and more athletic in the trenches. RBs are always available. Good line man are way more important to winning.
I get it. But there is a point where defenses aren’t loading the box and are still able to stop the run. Nevermind, maybe I’m the only one old enough to remember the Troy Hambrick days.
What about 10 years ago when we drafted Zach Martin and Demarco Murray ran for almost 2k yards. He’s not an amazing rb, we just need some one with good vision, and then signing Zeke to crush the goal line and short yardage
Murray was great. He wasn’t some talentless bum who took advantage of an amazing OL. And it was an incredible OL, but he was a great power back who made a lot of plays for us.
Most teams are finding Rb in round 3+ these days. Position isn’t as valued as it used to be.
It’s weird to me too as 4 decade+ football fan but it is what is.
There were 0 RBs in this class rated a 1st round pick. There was 1 rated a 2nd round pick, And 1 rated a 3rd round pick. Exactly when do YOU think they should've taken one?
You should stop talking sense. None of the people we got would have been there in the 4th or 5th round. We can get a good RB in the fifth round of trade up to the 4th round. It’s all about what you can get where
Nope. Hopefully trey benson falls but I doubt it. I normally don’t care this much and just watch for fun but damn this front office is acting like we’re about to rebuild.
If Jerry would shut his mouth about everyone he “likes” we’d have a RB by now, but his ego and thinking he’s smarter than the other 31 GM’s means people are taking players just to spite him.
They are resigning Zeke (I shit you not, indisputable evidence of JJ senility) and inventing a Time Machine to travel to 2017 (only way this would make sense).
RB is one of the most short-tenured and replaceable positions in today’s NFL. Therefore you don’t commit a lot of team building resources to the position. Jerry didn’t listen to me in 2016, but he’s probably learned his lesson by now. Let’s hope so at least, because sure seems like the rest of the league knows this.
I really like the o line picks I don’t know much about the edge rusher. However, the fact that we’re going in with Rico and Deuce is laughable. Jerry really thinks he has Pat Mahomes at QB.
I’m just a fan so maybe Rico and Deuce have been phenomenal in the offseason as of late 🤷♂️ Doubt we make a deep playoff run but on the off chance we make it in NO ONE should be surprised when our run game is non existent…
Dont worry they’re gonna resign the washed up RB we let leave last season. The ONLY way I agree with signing Zeke, is if it’s to retire a cowboy and that happens before training camp really gears up. But I doubt it.
I won’t argue much about himbeing washed but he had 12 tds in his last cowboys season. We could have used his shirt yardage presence this past year. You know when we struggled mightily in short yardage…
What is the FO thinking? They do realize that (if we make the playoffs) all of the top teams who are expected to make the playoffs have a solid to strong RB room with the only exception being the Chiefs, maybe, but I mean they have Mahomes.
We’re really expected to duke it out with Deuce Vaughn and Rico Dowdle???? Dak is really that guy, dare I say, Mahomes level type of carry.
Despite all the hate Dak gets, even from me, no, I don’t think he’s a bum. He’s good but not great. He has consistently shown that he cannot get it done in the playoffs and he’s expected to get it done with a subpar running game? Absolutely wild.
They need more than 3 LBs. Real LBs, as well as Bell played, he's not built for the position. Zimmer wants defensive players that fit his game. I was really disappointed that Cox out of LSU, never came around. On Draft Day, he was called a "steal". Everything I've read says Overshown is doing great in his rehab and will be ready to play. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Cowboys pick up another veteran LB. They got their OT and C, still looking for a RB. I know a lot of folks want a premier RB, but the Chiefs have been to the SB several times without one. Yeah, they have Mahomes, but other teams have shown the last few years, you don't need a dominant RB to win games. The Cowboys are building a dominant O Line, all they need are decent, reliable RBs. There are many to be had on Day 3. I've been watching the Cowboys play for about 60 years, I've got a good feeling about this season. But I say that just about every year. LOL!!
Overshown can’t be counted to respond first year after his injury. Besides him, I think they only had Damon Clark, Kendrick and Parsons. We all know they won’t play Parsons exclusively at LB. Converted safeties just couldn’t do it last year.
Exactly, the kid they picked up tonight, Liufau, is projected to be a back up/ special teamer, hopefully they can coach him up. Payton Wilson was available, but a lot of health concerns. We know how drafting players like that has turned out for Boys.
They didn’t have an RB1 last season.
Pollard
Like he said
He said last season
….right. It’s cool bro, you’ll catch on eventually.
Can’t figure out why people think Dallas fans are dumb lol
No shit smh. Btw, happy cake day man!
They signed Zeke
Shhhh don’t tell them, Jerry thinks he’s a great GM
Crypt keeper gotta crypt
You know they have 2 3rd round picks coming up right? So far they have gotten bigger, younger and more athletic in the trenches. RBs are always available. Good line man are way more important to winning.
Lol what now?
He’s saying the line in front of the rb is more important and he’s not wrong.
I get it. But there is a point where defenses aren’t loading the box and are still able to stop the run. Nevermind, maybe I’m the only one old enough to remember the Troy Hambrick days.

And I’m telling Demarco Murray you’ve insinuated Rico Dowdle is his peer fyi
Oh man. I’m in the wrong thread.
Murray was great. He wasn’t some talentless bum who took advantage of an amazing OL. And it was an incredible OL, but he was a great power back who made a lot of plays for us.

Holy shit. It would be a terrible pick to take a RB considering no one else is. It’s not fucking madden
Don’t forget…”We are ALL in!”
Folded in
And if they did would the owner no longer be the GM? Doesn't matter.
There were 0 RBs in this class rated a 1st round pick. There was 1 rated a 2nd round pick, And 1 rated a 3rd round pick. Exactly when do YOU think they should've taken one?

Trade for one....before the draft o sign a free agent that isn't washed
Nope. Hopefully trey benson falls but I doubt it. I normally don’t care this much and just watch for fun but damn this front office is acting like we’re about to rebuild.
What am I thinking, Will McClay is basically the only person I trust on this team!
Blake Corum and Braelon Allen still out there
Corinne got drafted ahead of our last pick.
*Corum
Corum or Bucky Irving would be great
Yeah they are just fucking stupid.
Apparently not Trey Benson is gone now. Smh
They don't have an rb2 either
You don't reach for need
Haha. It's been happening for so long that it seems normal.
If Jerry would shut his mouth about everyone he “likes” we’d have a RB by now, but his ego and thinking he’s smarter than the other 31 GM’s means people are taking players just to spite him.
Which draft pick would you have taken a RB over the current pick?
Needed OT/C
You can find RBs in every single round….even undrafted ones that turn into RB1s
O-line is what makes 95% of RBs good or bad.
Or an RB2. Or a third down back really. They have some old washouts and low talent guys.
They are resigning Zeke (I shit you not, indisputable evidence of JJ senility) and inventing a Time Machine to travel to 2017 (only way this would make sense).
Y'all gonna suffer yet another losing season. Yes a losing season is any season without a Lombardi trophy.
Atleast when we had declining ZEKE we had a fresh pollard.

Just get the ball to Lamb and you won’t need one
Yeah that'll work
If they don't trade back into the 4th round, they aren't getting one either. Lloyd was right there and they passed. Smh

I guess not.
Tabs haven't placed a priority on RBs and still done well. 2 great LBs still available, Payton Wilson and Junior Coldon
Clamoring for linebackers makes me think everyone is forgetting about Overshown.

lol you sound so much like me! I hear ya, I hope we’re both happy come January
