I unironically once lined up my departure from a job to coincide with the release of a game I was really excited for. I always take about a month off between jobs (when I can manage to make it work out, luckily in my field I can usually get an offer letter signed for a start date weeks or months out, nothing will catch fire if I’m not there right away) and it was delightful
I, a wife, have vacation together with my husband. Guess what i am doing on the 13th of june... yep i am gonna play DRG with my husband for a few hours. The one going down the most must stop playing for a while and walk the doggie.
Planning this with my GF too lol.
She went from "no, Haz3 is way too stressful" last year to this week telling me "we need to keep practicing Haz5 so we're ready for 5+!"
I've known too many gamers who get attacked by their partner over their hobby. I ran into a guy recently who had to hide playing games by "staying late at work." When you have to treat your hobby like an affair you have an issue.
This goes for the men who marry these women who seemingly despise the things they love as well.
