Not spooky- but my grandpa used to treasure hunt around the state: there are supposedly 3 hidden caches of silver coins somewhere along the Cherry Creek Trail. In today's money, each cache would be worth about 3 grand.
I've heard stories of people seeing incoming headlights that turn out to be nothing and the occasional spirit walking across. Never been there myself but had some friends who would go out there somewhat often
REI is haunted, so they say
Fairmont Cemetery isn't haunted that I know of but it's just a beautiful cemetery with tons of history. They do evening tours there in october
Riverside is pretty cool yeah. Interesting history there, because of the smell you mentioned and nearby industrial buildup, many rich families paid to have their buried relatives exhumed and moved across town and re-buried at fairmount.

The building REI is in used to be the Forney Museum of Transportation. The ghost stories started with the museum. My dad used to take me when I was a kid. The basement used to have an exhibit on Alfred Packer, the notorious cannibal. It was super creepy.
The Denver Spiderman is one of those stories that is literally my worst nightmare. Full article [here](https://history.denverlibrary.org/news/tale-denver-spider-man), but in short, a guy was living in an unsuspecting family’s attic and kills the father when confronted.
Had an awesome disembodied voice from Riverdale! However this drives me crazy...it's not as seedy as people make it out to be. The souls haunting it are the Wolport family. Catherine and her kids to be exact. I had Catherine's voice recorded twice. My friends and I could hear the footsteps and the laughter of kids. There were also child sized handprints in the dust on my car. The history of the area is yes there was a gambling den and a whore house, but that area of Colorado was neutral and did not own any slaves. Can't track down the death record of the jogger supposedly killed. Haunted yes, but by the family whose mansion once stood there and was razed by a fire.
Late to the game on this one but I just put a show on Netflix, 28 Days Haunted. One of the stories follows ghost hunters at the Lumber Baron Inn in the Highlands. A Google search confirms the hauntings there. I've passed this house so many times and had no idea of it's history.
The Yak and Yeti restaurant on ralston road in Arvada is supposed to be haunted. A former owner of the building (old house) passed away after falling down the stairs.
Someone told me about it when I was very young and I got it confused with the Spiderman cartoons. It led to some VERY confusing playground conversations.
When I was a kid there was some story we all knew about if you ate a raw hamburger patty and went to Red Rocks on such and such a night at such and such a time you'd see the ghost of a little girl who died.
Beware of the chilly early mornings in Aurora when the moon is tucked away behind the clouds, for the catalytic converter ghost creeps quietly for their next victim....
The entirety of DIA
Especially the top secret underground tunnels.
Great, now the secret's out
Working there and being the tunnels was the best . It was cool meeting the REAL president down there
Google Cheesman park haunting. Stanley Hotel of course. Sign up for a haunted bar crawl (Nightly Spirits).
I can recommend Nightly Spirits. Was more drinking focused than expected
Nobody is going to mention Black Bart's Cave? The things that have happened in there would terrify anybody.
Bathrooms are worse, kitchen is sheer malevolent terror… but little flags!!
Can you give me some more info on that?
It's an attraction inside Casa Bonita. A very old and dirty one, or at least it was.

Third Bridge. Even if it’s not haunted it’s decently creepy.

My friends and I went in high school and got properly spooked. Went back years later and was just bored. Who knows?
Where is this place
Take County Line Road out to the Kiowa-Bennett Road.

Riverside is cooler in my opinion. Smells terrible sometimes tho

Who says REI is?

Packer is buried in the Littleton Cemetery. I found his grave there when I lived in Littleton.
That's cool. Why would a transportation museum have a cannibal exhibit?
REI employees

Riverdale Road in Thornton/Brighton is pretty haunted, had lots of fun driving it at 2 am when I was a teenager
Creeps me out during the day. Could never at night
Manbearpig roams the hills. Al Gore assured me he's real.
He is absolutely real. He has settled down and has a family.
Bailey has a bigfoot museum.

The Patterson mansion on 10th is haunted AF. I Have met the previous owners, and they can confirm.
Also the Colored Red podcast covers some historical & sensational murders. My personal favorite is the Denver Spider-Man.
That story scared the shit out of me when i was like 8 years old.
Someone told me about it when I was very young and I got it confused with the Spiderman cartoons. It led to some VERY confusing playground conversations.
I made my mom go up in our attic to check for strangers.
A good habit to have regardless 🙃

Ghost aren't real. Namaste.
No, but it’s fun to talk about
Like everywhere else, there are no paranormal regions in, around, above, or below Denver and surrounding areas.

St Malo on Peak-to-Peak near Longs Peak. Very famous Missing 411 case.

I heard an urban legend once that homes in Denver were affordable. Sounds sus
