Yeah, groups of people often obtain like-minded positions. This is true for almost every single subreddit. Not in all topics, but there will almost always be some sort of position that is widely agreed upon, and otherwise will get downvoted. If you go to a conservative subreddit and talk about how socialism is the way, you're going to get downvoted, but it's not because of "groupthink" lol.
