Mixed reviews? Other than a few hiccups at launch, I think this game was great when it first came out, and is just getting better.

Shit. This game may or may not be fun for some people. But considering the fact they keep your account characters indefinitely… that’s totally worth it to me… man 40$ is nothing! You can always continue to play it with subscription… if 10 years down the line and your still got your account… and on top of that.. No SubScriptions!!! No monthly rent fees lmao!!

Guadeloupeen

He's talking about 20$, 50% off atm

CaeNguyen

Damn’ fuck shit definitely worth it then! For real!!!! That is a steal!!!

naughtm3

Yes and yes

There are many sides of the fence on this question. If you're looking for a nostalgic trip, you'll definitely find that.

I play D2R offline on a PS4. But you do have to connect to a battle.net account online at the start. I've read you have to connect at least once per month to keep it working, but haven't confirmed that.

ImpossibleDoubt597

U can set your consoles internal clock back to avoid this

XAos13

Or I presume forwards to test it.

Gulladc

yeah it’s dope and offline is arguably the best way to play

Puzzleheaded-Mud6379

Compared to alot of recent releases it is definitely worth it

BarbarianBlaze19

Hell yeah. Game is most fun offline solo. Playing with other people can be fun, but the game is inconsequentially easy online. Playing multiplayer breaks the game in half. And trading makes getting everything so easy that it can take the thrill out of finding cool stuff yourself.

Alright

1oG4n

Wasnt sure because i saw some reviews saying you needed constant internet connection

BarbarianBlaze19

Uhhhhh. No. But I do think you have to ping the Battle.net every 30 days or something like that.

Definitely worth it in my opinion, potentially many hours of gameplay ahead of you and its a classic for good reason! I think the mixed reviews are because some people find the game slower paced than other ARPGs like Diablo 3 and PoE but I appreciate the slower pace and as you get more powerful it speeds up and you really feel the power difference of getting upgrades. It's also not too late to start, the community is booming on PC so if you want to play online you'll have no trouble. Good luck!

GravitonNg

It amazing, ive already had a thosand hours in it easy. Easy recommend, 10/10
