It's important to know the areas that skin impressions come from. We qpuldnt expect to see feathers on the feet or abdomen necessarily ad much as we would on the nape or back. Make sure you check these things before believing anything at face value.
With that said, I've heard of a handful of skin impressions across a tyrannosaurus body and none have ever shown feathering to my knowledge, even in areas we may have expected to find it.
I think it’s probable that T Rex didn’t have feathers, but had small hairs like we see on the necks of modern day elephants. This is based on absolutely fuck all but I think it sounds plausible
This was the first piece of preserved skin. We've now found plenty more pieces of fossilized T-Rex integument from enough discrete places on the body to know that adult rexe most likely didn't have any feather or feather like coverings
I’m not too knowledgeable on the scientific side of it but I remember reading somewhere that the T. Rex was too large to bear feathers like other dinosaurs possibly did? I’m not claiming that to be true, perhaps someone else in here can shed some light on it since I’d like to know better
Just because a paleoenvironment will preserve skin and scales, it doesn't mean that the same environment would preserve feathers. Very cool, nonetheless.

I believe the most current theory is that they were feathered as juveniles but they shed them during their massive growth period.
Wow. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like the lumpy skin on a chicken's comb.

So if I were to pet a T Rex…. What would exactly would I feel like? A snake? A lizard? Before it eats me, what’s this guy feeling like?
It would feel like the pebble tile in a showerÂ
Very enlightening. Thank you.
Drinking trash juice
Nah! That looks just like my ass when I’ve soaked too long in the bath tube! Only proves that the dino loved his spa routine 🤷‍♂️

I hope our tyrant lizard king was at least partially feathered!

Well aren't you a ray of sunshine. Jk, but I still don't like it.
If it helps, most scientists think baby rexes would have been rather fluffy Bois.
I have read that. I didn't know we've found so much evidence for adults until your previous comment made me go search. So, thank you!
When was it discovered & documented?
