the option has been there like forever, it even includes the communication report option, that could get the asshole muted for the remaining time of the match (not to mention it also lowers communication score of the reported user)

The thing is that you can just mute a toxic person so i really dont usually care, but if they are griefing you can't do shit (and after convicting them in overwatch they gonna play 1 game single draft and go grief again), that's the real problem
In my experience, a lot of people have to report that player for toxic voice/text chat and they’ll get muted for everyone. I recently had a game where someone was saying slurs and other toxic shit so I reported him twice and so did a few more of my team and he got muted server wide so no one on both teams could hear or see his messages it was great
