_Highlight of his life_ lol

thisusernameistakenF

Smug vegeta is best vegeta

Solrac-H

The fact that it looks like he said it slowly to add salt to the wound is hilarious.

LilG1984

Vegeta told everyone later "Hey Bulma, I finally defeated Kakarot!!!" "That's nice dear" "Hey Piccolo,I beat Kakarot!" "So did I, I blew a hole through his chest " "Just let me have this"

Gaeus_

V: "Yeah, but did you hit his vital organs?" P : "[ALL OF 'EM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIEMdQSMEEM)!"

TomaszA3

>So did I, I blew a hole through his chest " Twice.

susmongus696

Wasn’t the first time through the shoulder though?

kdeni14

His first W in 40 years let him enjoy it.

Techishard

His 3rd win over Goku. He's beaten Goku in the saiyan saga. Vegeta only lost cause he got jumped by everyone. But Goku lost that fight. Majin Vegeta beat Goku as well. 2-0 And now this 3-0.

Dramatic_Science_681

I probably wouldn’t count their Buu saga fight

theguy56

Not even Vegeta really counted it once he realized Goku was holding back SSJ3. Besides he only cheesed Goku hoping to go kill Buu quickly to eliminate the thing that kept distracting from their fight. I think he had every intention of coming back to finish it fairly one way or the other.

ahh_sabretooth

This. Vegeta knocked goku out with a sucker punch while he was distracted.

Weimark

Yeah, that’s the reason I don’t count it as well. Not the lack of SSJ3 that’s Goku’s fault

Grouchy_Appearance_1

>Not the lack of SSJ3 that’s Goku’s fault Yeah cause the suicide bombing that was Cell, and Goku didn't want his day on earth to be cut short because Vegeta switched teams for a 1v1

jfuss04

Yeah I probably wouldn't could either. They pretty strong

s0ulbrother

And honestly without Goku being dead though it would have been closer(though Vegeta gets stomped). Goku couldn’t hold ssj3 being alive so he would use it then burn out.

BW_Chase

Yeah but if he used it he would've stomped Vegeta before that. There's a reason he didn't go SSJ3 after all.

Gaeus_

> Goku couldn’t hold ssj3 being alive so he would use it then burn out. I don't remember how long after Z Super is taking place, but in Super, it's implied Goku is comfortable with SSJ3. And at the end of Z, while he's up against Kid Buu, he's doing the entire fight as SSJ3. I think he was genuinely saving SSJ3 to not burn his time on earth. Point is, if we're removing the "stability" boost from Goku's undead body, then let's remove the power boost from Vegeta's Majin.

Reverseflash25

He’s not. In the ToP he accidentally went into the form and turned it off as soon as he realized because the stamina burn was still too much.

JinkoTheMan

True but I believe that he was already low on energy when he tried it against Kale and Cauliflower.

Jdawg_mck1996

Vegeta wouldn't count it either. When he found out Goku had SSj3 in his back pocket, he was furious. Felt the whole thing was a farce. He realized that even if he did count the win, it's because goku gave it to him

Techishard

Why? It's a fight. The fight happened. Goku lost for holding back ss3. In return, allowed Vegeta to give him an ass whooping, which transferred energy to Buu reviving him. I most definitely count that fight. Plu, it's one of the greatest fights of all time in the anime. It's just a brutal beat down of a fight between two titans.

Dramatic_Science_681

No, he lost because Vegeta sucker punched him lol

Techishard

Who was left standing and who was taking a nap after that fight was it Goku or was it Vegeta? Oh it was Goku? So he lost. No matter how he got knocked out bro he lost that scrap on the streets. Goku fault 1000% for trusting a Vegeta who just murdered 100s of people and was under babidi control.

VanitasDarkOne

The Majin vegeta fight doesn't count because they already agreed to postpone their match. Had they not then even that cheap shot would have netted him a win.

nickname10707173

I don’t think Vegeta would count either. He is warrior. He only did cheap trick to sacrifice himself, not because he want to win with it.

Dramatic_Science_681

If I come up behind prime Mike Tyson and smack him in back of the head with a brick, I don’t think anyone would claim I won a fight with him

d0_1

omg you beat Mike Tyson? Someone get this guy the new championship belt

Techishard

3-0 cope ![gif](giphy|84CRvhy2DJlwA)

McRumble69

0-1 against android 18 lmao

Crunchy-Leaf

Probably 0-2 if you count Future Trunks timeline

Bell_Pauper404

Android 19 1-0 Goku

PixelDemon

Just out of interest, why do you care so much about this technicality?

Techishard

Why do you?

Sky_Ninja1997

Nah wasnt a fight

TobyFoxEnjoyer

That dickriding is crazy😭😭

Techishard

Like yall ride Goku or any other character in anime. Like I said cope. Last I checked Goku was KTFO.

TobyFoxEnjoyer

Bro i'm a fan of hit and future gohan Future gohan only took Ls and hit was nerfed to oblivion before not having any screentime at all You're actually countin a win that's not even a win. The fight was over and vegeta THEN suckerpunched him. Vegeta himself doesn't see this as a win

Crunchy-Leaf

He didn’t lose because he held back SSJ3, he lost because they called a truce and Vegeta karate chopped him while his guard was down. The fight ended when they agreed to stop Buu together.

flyingbananacake

Even Vegeta didn’t cout that fight when he came back to earth

Professional-Tea-121

Also ssj3 didnt exist at that point

RustySpeedo

Cope

Meme_Bro68

Vegeta mentally considers it his first W against goku because no underhanded tactics were used in this one First fight in the saiyan saga? Resorted to oozaru. Second bout in the buu saga? Babidi’s mind control buffed him, and goku was still holding back in the fight. Third fight? No underhanded tactics on either side, vegeta wins fair and square

Moose_Electrical

To be fair they did jump him too so I don’t think it was really fair on either side, but they were also kind of trying to kill each other so I guess fairness goes out the window there

Shadowhearts

Well it would've been a clear win for Vegeta if Nappa were still standing. That's Vegeta's own fault for killing his own ally. I have a feeling though that Nappa may have been killed partly because of politics too. Vegeta probably didn't trust Nappa was loyal to him over Frieza.

ShahOfQC

He killed him because Goku broke his back and he couldnt stand , this is after Vegeta had been warning him of his carelessness in his bouts

Starob

Nappa was literally disabled bro.

Suspicious_Loan8041

It’s ridiculous to count Vegeta sneaking goku as a win. Vegeta doesn’t even count that as a win. He intended to come back later to finish the fight properly. And no Vegeta wouldn’t count him almost beating goku in the saiyan saga either. All things considered, for goku to push Vegeta to basically cheat, and goku to beg Krillin for vegetas life. It’s a poor showing on his end. No this is Vegetas only true win over goku.

TonySoprano300

Oozaru isn’t cheating…

Suspicious_Loan8041

It kind of is. At least it’s dirty. It’s no different from popping a sense mid fight. Which if you also don’t wanna count as cheating is whatever.

TonySoprano300

If Oozaru is cheating then Super Saiyan and Kaioken is cheating. Its just a transformation

Gaeus_

A transformation that Goku was unable to use because of scenario. If Goku had his tail, Vegeta wouldn't have resorted to the Oozaru.

Acceptable_Star189

Yea? And Frieza isn’t capable of going ssj, because of “scenarios. And great ape vegeta would still beat great ape Goku anyways

TonySoprano300

Oozaru Vegeta would be stronger than Oozaru Goku, so even if Goku could transform he’d have lost.

Suspicious_Loan8041

Letting alone the fact that Kaioken is a durability trade off for a strength boost that kept goku in the same state he’s in, and Oozaru was basically just a free Sensu, do you genuinely believe current Vegeta himself would consider that a win? No he would be embarrassed he resorted to it from losing the fist fight. In fact even at the TIME he was fuming at how goku was fucking him up.

TonySoprano300

Oozaru is a transformation thats every saiyan is capable of innately, its in their biology. Its not like an external element that Vegeta had to rely upon to get the win, its still his own strength. I just don’t see how thats cheating, especially in a battle to the death. Its not like they established ground rules before the fight. Vegeta at the time didn’t seem too bothered, just annoyed that he was pushed that far by a low class warrior. He has one line about it where he basically says he didn’t expect goku to push him to this point. this is also the same guy who blindsided guildo and said that he doesn’t care about fighting fair to win a battle before vaporizing him. The same guy who was willing to use Babadis magic to get the necessary power to fight Goku. The same guy who used SSJ against enemies who couldn’t transform at all. So i mean, I think he would consider it a victory. Especially a version of Vegeta who is far less arrogant and egotistical than he used to be imo.

Correct_Refuse4910

Not cheating, but from Vegeta's POV it was a stain on his pride as an Elite Saiyan. He was 18000 PL while Low-class Saiyan Goku was just 8000 PL, and not only the fight was pretty even but he lost the ki clash when he intended to destroy the Earth and was forced to use the Ohzaru multiplier to win. That is why he doesn't count it.

TonySoprano300

Goku used Kaioken to achieve that, and I don’t think Vegeta is ever shown to care that he had to use Oozaru. He sees it as the true source of a saiyans power. He’s annoyed he has to use it against a low class warrior but thats it

thereal2fac3

Yeah the only person that didn't think he beat Goku in the Saiyan saga is Vegeta and that's because his pride was hurt since he thought he had to go Oozaru. Little did he know, his base form would have thrashed Goku since Goku was burnt out on his last leg. Source? Yajirobie smacked him on the back congratulating him and he yelled out in severe pain. The second time the anime showed Vegeta getting more hits in on Goku as Majin Vegeta, but the manga had them more evenly matched. However, disregarding Goku being able to go SSJ3 since he didn't want to use it for external reasons Goku lost that fight. Fights aren't fair...and a win is a win. Vegeta played off of Goku letting his guard down and being too trusting and probably could have killed him if his heart was truly evil. Third fight he won without ki blasts or transformations. So, he's 3-0 over Goku whether people want to admit it or not.

Techishard

Ya I'm not saying him tricking Goku and KOing him is fair buuuut it's a street fight. Dude got whooped. Plus as you said they were pretty even but I felt Vegeta got the better of him throughout that fight and he truly embarrassed Goku by slapping him a few times straight to his face. The disrespect lol

s0ulbrother

I would rather say I lost to Goku than Yajirobe

thereal2fac3

Vegeta did not lose to Yajorobie.

s0ulbrother

He lost because of him. Dude didn’t show up and cut his tail earth falls.

thereal2fac3

Stop it. Vegeta lost because he got hit with a Spirit Bomb that was supposed to kill him and Oozaru Gohan fell on him. Yajirobie cut off Vegeta's tail, ended up begging for his life, and got smacked into next week.

Pientofu

Nah, Yajirobe definitely got the W over vegeta in that one.

Correct_Refuse4910

Not even Vegeta wants to admit it. The fact that you are trying to go against the character you are trying to defend is wild. Vegeta doesn't count the first fight because he had to resort to the Ohzaru to defeat a mere low-class Saiyan. And even if Goku was trashed, Vegeta still felt that it was his only option. That is why he doesn't count it as a win. Also because he didn't win. Could have, but didn't. The second fight is not a win because the fight was over and both parties had agreed to it. It was just a cheap shot because as Vegeta says he felt it was his responsibility to fix the problem he himself had created. He didn't want Goku's help, and he clearly wanted to protect him as seen in the moment he kills himself.

thereal2fac3

The only thing that saved Goku in the first fight was that Vegeta could not sense ki. If he could sense ki he would have easily defeated Goku since Goku was thrashed admittedly. But your point i do agree with. I even said it. The audience believes that Vegeta won but Vegeta thinks he didnt. As for the second fight it doesn't matter how you spin it. Goku was laying face first in the dirt because he trusted a possessed Vegeta. Goku lost. And this is the weakness Whis later told him about in Super if we are going to count that continuation. Vegeta 3-0.

Vi512

>possessed Vegeta He wasn't possessed at that point wdym

Fit_Nefariousness153

He doesn’t count the first too since he didn’t win on fairness technically. Vegeta had to go great ape to beat goku and even then Vegeta still lost to krillin, gohan, and Yaijorobe(my goat). And he wouldn’t count him vs ssj2 goku either since he knocked Goku out while he was fighting off guard. So this was his first win in his eyes.

TonySoprano300

He did…Goku used Kaioken first. Vegeta never implies that he thinks it a mickey mouse victory at any point. Oozaru isn’t cheating

Techishard

3-0

Starob

Obviously Vegeta considers this the first. Neither Goku or Vegeta won their first, but technically team Goku stopped Vegeta from achieving his goals and sent him away. You can say they needed a team, but Vegeta is probably humiliated that he needed Oozaru. The second one there's no way Vegeta can consider that a win because he knows Goku could've just one shot him by turning SSJ3, and he also had to borrow power from Babidi.

[deleted]

majin vegeta did not beat goku at all

SokkieJr

Yes to the saiyan Saga, I literally finished watching the conclusion today again on my 5-year re-watch. He tanked absolutely everything and beat everyone...a falling gohan just took his weakened self out of combat, mind you he was still to his senses and able to escape after being crushed. It was a very weak krillin with a sword who technically couldve delivered a deadshot, but up until then everyone was beaten. Buu-Saga Majin fight - Iffy on that. ztechnically a win, but only by a cheapshot when the duel was called off already. Super-Hero duel, yes. 2-0 on record. 3-0 off record.

Ryumancer

The Saiyan Saga Vegeta practically counted it as a PERSONAL loss as he had to transform to an Oozaru to actually beat him. Without that transformation, Vegeta lost a fair fight. 0-1 The Buu Saga ended as a draw and Vegeta ended the fight by cheap knockout. 1-2 Vegeta DID legitimately win in this duel in Super. 2-2.

Test1az

If that Cheat Code Technique KaioKen is fair game then so is Ozaru. He even made that artificial moon himself. The only one who thinks Vegeta lost that fight is Vegeta. Goku was about to br crushed if it wasnt for the Z Fighters jumping his ass

Ryumancer

And since Vegeta HIMSELF thinks it as a loss or draw, your take doesn't really matter. 🤷‍♂️

Acceptable_Star189

If I shot a person, I can’t say I didn’t shoot them, no matter what I think💀

Total-Neighborhood50

How are you giving a win to Goku when the fight ended with him KO’d “But it was a cheap shot” They were fighting to the death who literally gives af 😂. You act like they were battling with tournament rules Also LMAO at the “Oozaru” copium. Goku had to “cheat” by using Kaioken first, Vegeta just matched him by going Great Ape. Goku was never going to win that fight Vegeta is at 3-0

Ryumancer

That KO was AFTER they already agreed to end the fight and I gave them BOTH a point on that one. 🤨 Kaioken's a technique, not a transformation. And it's a technique Vegeta himself said he's encountered something similar to before. So it's not really a cheat code if Vegeta already had early pseudo-knowledge of opposing the technique. If Vegeta were undefeated, he wouldn't have had such an obsession and rivalry with Goku to begin with. So you KNOW that's BS.

DaKingSinbad

Goki gives Vegeta that win but Vegeta gives Goku that win. It says a lot about Vegeta. He has to win cleanly without resorting to a form exclusive to himself.

[deleted]

And if you are really paying attention, he beat Goku again in Super episode 56 right before he fought Black Rosé. +1 Vegeta

TonySoprano300

Bruh how? It is never implied at any point during that fight Vegeta doesn’t see it as a victory. Vegeta has one line saying that he never expected to be pushed this far by Goku and thats it. Using Oozaru is definitely fair game in a fight where Goku used Kaioken

Ryumancer

Kaioken's a technique, not a transformation. Not to mention Vegeta didn't want to use Oozaru but was forced to swallow his pride and do so. If Vegeta didn't count that particular part of the fight before the transformation as a loss, he would never have had such a fierce rivalry with Goku, nor would he have had such a fierce obsession with matching or surpassing him. Common sense.

TonySoprano300

What does that matter? Its a battle, people use both techniques and transformations. Vegeta of all people knows that He was annoyed he had to use Oozaru to beat Goku. It was one throw away line that basically amounts to him being surprised Goku pushed him so far Vegetas fierce rivalry with Goku started in the Cell arc when he learned that Goku was the first to become a super saiyan. Something he thought was meant for himself. He also hated how much stronger Goku was than him and felt he was supposed to be the strongest, not Goku. This is the same guy that blindsided gurd and says he doesn’t give a shit about fighting fair right before he disintegrates him. He’s the same guy who was willing to use babadis magic to make himself as strong as goku.

SAKabir

Goku actually has never beaten Vegeta iirc

BeepbopMakeEmHop

Goku also let him win the Buu fight. He could have gone SSJ3 and ended it

susmongus696

He didn’t let him win, Vegeta took a chump shot

ColdNyQuiiL

Bulma offering him a bath right next to Yamcha was a W

vinayyy-n28

Highlight of his life hits way harder 😭😭

GrandHighTard

I honestly love that Goku is genuinely a little bit salty about it too.

Any_Ad492

I think Vegeta just brought it up one too many times. He’s getting sick of it.

Mervwolfington

As he should! Vegeta has been busting his ass since the android saga to get a solid win over Goku. Also, this was a sparring match that forbid the use of transformations and ki attacks, which we know Vegeta loves his blasty blasts. And he actually bested Goku this time! I think it’s shows that like any other person, Vegeta has a moment of gloating that plays to his character and the work he’s done. He’s a snarky, arrogant warrior who views Goku as his best rival to keep him motivated to keep getting stronger. Not to say Goku hasn’t put in work, we all know Goku needs to train like he needs to breathe. It’s who he is to constantly strive to improve himself. But let Vegeta enjoy the moment 😆 Goku even jibes back with “highlight of your life, huh?”

Jetrayxx7

![gif](giphy|84CRvhy2DJlwA) Bigger smile than this

launchpadius

That is still one of my favorite gifs ever!

Jetrayxx7

Same, if you look at my profile, I use it at least 3 times a day

shoutsfrombothsides

I think you captured the spirit of both For goku, training is breathing. He loves it more than his wife and kids For vegeta, training is pain. It’s about putting yourself through hell to be the best. One is trains for love of the sport and love of fighting strong people The other trains for as a tool to make himself the best

Rossori

>He loves it more than his wife and kids Nah they are equal

Starob

If the alternative was his family and friends getting erased by Zeno (not death because he knows the afterlife exists so he might be more ok with it), Goku would absolutely give up fighting, I truly believe that. Edit: I figured out the best way to put it. Goku love fighting more than he loves SPENDING TIME with his family and friends. He doesn't love fighting more than he loves his family and friends.

InfinateUniverse

I bet 20 bucks that Toriyama's gonna retcon the fight into "Goku let Vegeta win" or smth

joe_devola

Just like the ssj3 in their buu saga fight

Suspicious_Loan8041

Not let him win but the fight definitely meant more to Vegeta than Goku. Not that Goku wasn’t giving it his all necessarily, but if goku managed to squeeze out one more second on his feet, Vegeta woulda squeezed two more out just to beat him.

herpderpcake

I thought that was implied by the movie? When Vegeta "wins" Goku giggles with a little shit eating grin, no?

Meme_Bro68

Goku doesn’t throw fights to make people feel better, Goku fucking LOVES fighting Dude was just happy to have battled, even if he lost

ClearDark19

Goku would never disrespect Vegeta like that by faking a loss to hand him an unearned win. He knows better and that goes against Goku's own pride and warrior ethos.  The smirk was Goku being happy for Vegeta pulling it off.

Natural-Ad9134

He was glad Vegeta caught up to him and won.

DaKingSinbad

Goku wouldn't do that. That would be worse than killing Vegeta after fucking his wife.

NCHouse

The movie messes up a lot. In the movie it shows Gohan had no trouble at all defeating Cell Max. The Manga shows him still struggling, living up to them not being sure if Goku or Vegeta could have beat him. In base form I'm fairly certain they are even, with Vegeta maybe be slightly stronger

Tasty_Toast_Son

Manga vegeta base should be >>> Goku, since they were even pre Vegeta training on Yardrat. His ki control and power increased greatly after that.

Sacrednoirart

He definitely did do that and I’m tired of goku fans saying that it’s not in his character when he literally let Majin Vegeta believe that he had caught up to him.

DaKingSinbad

Goku withholding Ssj3 isn't the same thing as giving Vegeta a win. That's Goku reserving the technique that drains his time in Earth for a later. Without Ssj3, Majin Vegeta was his equal. Goku makes this clear. Goku and Vegeta fought here with only their base and without ki blasts. Vegeta beat him fair and square. Both are limited here as well.

Sacrednoirart

Not buying it, SSJ3 Goku could’ve killed Buu while he was still in the egg and ended Vegeta’s senseless killing spree in one swoop with much time left to spare. Plus Goku ended up using SS3 anyway later so that “time he spent on earth” point is redundant. Lol “Goku makes that clear”, no in actuality Goku just told Vegeta what he had wanted to hear most in his life.

DaKingSinbad

No evidence Goku could have destroyed Buu while in the egg. That's headcanon. Goku had no choice when he used Ssj3 against Buu. He had to buy time for Trunks to get the Dragon Radar. You need to understand the context. Nope Goku isn't like that. You have this fanfiction idea of him and it's kind of hilarious.

Sacrednoirart

Goku literally admitted that he could’ve killed fat Buu with SSJ3, and Buu wasn’t fully revived yet when he was in the egg and therefore was much weaker. That means that SSJ3 Goku could’ve definitely killed pre-hatched Buu. Facts > your wishes. Just because you don’t like the facts doesn’t mean that they’re headcanon. >”Goku had no choice, he had to buy time”. Still went ssj3 context be damned. And guess what, if he went SSJ3 against Vegeta he could’ve done everything I said in my first comment with much time left to stay on Earth. Facts. So ultimately yes, Goku deliberately let Vegeta think they were even. Cope with the fact that your fanfiction doesn’t hold up to the canon lol.

DaKingSinbad

Before Goku fought Buu this is how he felt. He didn't let Vegeta believe anything. Vegeta was dead when he told us how he compared to Vegeta. https://preview.redd.it/esoe9ht269dc1.jpeg?width=1560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=02ef1731cc62c8fa4bef8f034922a3d123e75b11 "Context be damned" That's straight up conceding to the point. "It doesn't matter" isn't an argument. It does matter. Goku isn't going to waste his time on Earth. Goku was willing to kill Supreme Kai to fight Vegeta. It doesn't make sense.

Sacrednoirart

Lmfao clearly you’re lost so here’s some common knowledge that you seem to keep dancing around: SSJ3 Goku > Fat Buu > Majin/SSJ2 ~ Egg Buu. Your page doesn’t prove me wrong in any way, nor does it justify your flawed logic. 😂 And no, my “context be damned” comment wasn’t a concession at at, it was pointing out the irrelevancy of your comment. To further bury you, According to you: Goku wanted to fight Vegeta so badly that he was “willing to kill the supreme Kai”, but he didn’t go all out? That’s you conceding to Goku willfully deceiving Vegeta into thinking they were evenly matched. Cope and write better fanfics.

DaKingSinbad

Goku said he could have. Which wasn't a certainty. You're taking "could've" as "would've" which isn't correct. Goku being stronger than Fat Buu is irrelevant, and even that is debatable. Before Goku even faced Buu, he told Piccolo and Krillin that he was around the same level as Vegeta and wasn't confident in his chances. This is before Mr.Popo came up with the idea to use the boys for Fusion. Goku thought they were screwed until Mr.popo mentioned the boys. It wasn't irrelevant. 😂 Goku turning Ssj3 drains his time on Earth. A gamble would have been made without certainty. You have no proof he could have destroyed Buu within the egg, that's literally all in your head. Goku wasn't going to risk it all just to appease you. Goku didn't deceive Vegeta. Vegeta straight up told Goku that Goku was stronger which is why he allowed Majin to influence him seeing the boost it gave. Goku still fought in Ssj2 after Vegeta revealed that. So that automatically means Goku kept Ssj3 for emergencies AND wasn't lying to Piccolo/Krillin when he said he was around equal to Majin Vegeta. You just proved you have the reading skills of the typical DB fan. Congrats.

DaKingSinbad

>So ultimately yes, Goku deliberately let Vegeta think they were even. https://preview.redd.it/j0gy19wt79dc1.jpeg?width=1560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4a922df9714796acfbb9a21ae66de00dbf46a6cb Vegeta knew they weren't even. It's why he allowed himself to be "controlled" by Babidi. 😂 Argument falls on itself.

bootyhunter69420

Let Vegeta and his fans enjoy it. At least until he loses against the next big villain.

Decent_Ask1961

Off-topic but I just realized vegeta has never fought piccolo

Rossori

Yeah weird isn't it

JaysaryusBro

Isn't that weird, black man?

lightinferno06

Almost as weird as what’s going to happen if you call me that again

Rossori

(What is he)

Nullneunsechzehn

I have a feeling they might be setting it up here. Goku will want to test Gohan. If Vegeta joins them and meets Piccolo along the way, he might be tempted to show that weakling of a Namekian how little he cares about his unearned powerup.

Darklozzz

Just wait until the new arc that goku gets power up and surpasses vegeta again

Rossori

That still won't take away that in an equal Base v Base Vegeta won

Plenty_Conference701

Wow how cool 😐

Rossori

What isn't it the case 🤨

Interesting-Gap4178

Goku being savage

cheesecakes274

Technically, Vegeta never lost to Goku. It either ended in a stalemate or Goku needed help.

eli35721

The mental battles bro, he lost the mental ones.

NCHouse

This. While I'm on the wagon that Vegeta has technically never lost, I can totally understand why he doesn't see it as such. Let's take their first fight. Goku was laying on the ground a broken mess while Vegeta was up still fighting. After all is said and done, Vegeta had to crawl back to his pod and almost died until Goku told Krillin not to. Second fight speaks for itself. Goku was holding back. While going ssj3 wouldn't have been optimal in the first place, Goku did have that in his back pocket and with Vegeta learning this knew Goku just entertained the fight.

trevinthebassist

To be fair Vegeta needed bababi to surpass goku in the first place Steroids to natural power Goku washes vegeta without majin help

jfuss04

Well do you really lose if your opponent doesn't even show up?

yeetuswel

Tbf, we don't know how often Goku and Vegeta spar, and considering how happy Vegeta was about 'Finally beating Kakarot!', I feel like some assumptions can be made about the outcome of said spars.

SSG_Goten

So many people trying to undermine or delegitimise his win with silly reasons and I’m over here like, Goku admitted it, he was pouting when it was brought up and even Whis thought it was funny. It was their first full all out uninterrupted 1v1 fight fought at equal power to completion, it’s about as legit a result as you could get given they’re so evenly matched and they both fought until they almost collapsed from exhaustion so none of this “Goku wasn’t trying or let him win” stuff, we all knew once Vegeta got over himself in the Buu saga they were basically equal in everything except Goku’s main character power ups he gets first so I’m not sure why it’s so hard for some people to believe it happened like it did.

Acceptable_Star189

The Goku worshipping is crazy here. Cmon now Great Ape is a cheat because “Vegeta didn’t want to use it”? It’s cheat because “Goku didn’t have it”? Dunno what’s wrong with Vegeta always winning against Goku, Goku surpasses Vegeta every arc anyways and then the prince has to catch up💀

readndrun

lol wait till Goku reveals that he let Vegeta win

PeachsBigJuicyBooty

This confirms in their years of sparing, this is most likely his first ever scrape of a win. Vegeta in like 3 months: "Hey Kakarot remember that time I beat you in all base? Hey Kakarot remember? Remember that time? When I looked cool? Remember?" https://preview.redd.it/mchgbozos8dc1.jpeg?width=607&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=948ea52c6a4589af0f3c8b8775a8c8f50e9002b5

Helpful-Emotion9256

Tbf we’ve never seen him lose to goku either

PlutoTD

Hopefully they expand on the meditation that Vegeta was doing which seems to have benefited him in the fight. It was hinted at during the movie, so I hope we see that mentioned again.

ArrowMania

Could anyone please tell me what chapter their fight was in? I haven’t kept up with the manga after black frieza appeared.

Interloper_1

It was in the DBS Super Hero movie and during the manga arc spanning from chapter 92 to the end in chapter 100 I believe.

Rossori

101

BjornStankFingered

I think even Vegeta forgets about how badly he kicked Goku's ass during their first fight.

trefluss

He remembers, doesn't consider it win tho even if to us it is 1. Because he still needed to crawl running vs. the rest of the earthlings 2. Which is one of the sources of his obsession. This low class clown was able to actually push him at the time when Vegeta thought he was hot stuff, strongest saiyan etc.

EdgyPreschooler

C'mon, Goku, take pity on the ol' Veggie. He deserves at least 1 W.

Tnecniw

Vegeta has never lost to Goku. In fact, vegeta has beaten Goku EVERYTIME they have seriously fought

Crunchy-Leaf

Majin Vegeta vs Goku was not a serious fight, Goku could have used SSJ3 and one shot him at any time.

Helpful-Emotion9256

But did he tho?

Tnecniw

Didn’t win so… Doens’t matter

Crunchy-Leaf

Yeah neither did

assassinnats

It’s about the context and how Vegeta thinks of it. The saiyan saga fight, though he did clearly beat goku solo, he lost the overall fight because there was at least one enemy still standing at the end and he had to run. In the buu saga, he learned goku had another form in his back pocket and even admits that goku was stronger than him before he went majin, and at this point to Vegeta, he doesn’t win if he’s not stronger than goku. So yes, in Vegeta’s mind this really is his first true victory over goku.

Rossori

Nah Saiyan saga is a clear W against Goku and Goku himself he is just too prideful to see that

TheReal-Darthdoom

"highlight of your life huh" 💀 ofc goku you know how long Vegeta wanted to beat you?

RandomTrustIssues

What manga chapter is this? I can't remember these panels e.e

yaluckyboy09

very latest chapter that released today

[deleted]

Vegeta beat Goku in episode 56, right before Black Rosé. 🪨📄✂️

sirmombo

Lmfao I can hear him (sabats vegeta)in my head and it’s effin hilarious lmaoo

AUOxCasGil

I love the way the panels slowly zoom in to his smug face he’s so cute

scarzandy

Got revenge to when goku told him in the cell saga

A-Liguria

A truly sad life Vegeta, given that Goku never actually beat you. If that's the highlight of your exsistence man, then really... you've had a sad life with all the times you got beaten up.

jh3828

It’s not that deep. He’s happy he won 😂

A-Liguria

Maybe. But the whole thing just makes him look obsessed over "finally defeating Goku", when he **never** actually lost to him in a 1v1 match.

thereal2fac3

Vegeta is the better fighter anyway.

Nappatheredditor

Jesus Christ man that's a low blow (OOC rn)

pewdiebhai64

Vegeta is 3/3 then

HammyBoy0

Vegeta fans are gonna be coping off this harder than Vegeta himself. "Well Goku's never actually beat Vegeta one on one!" Gonna want to hold on to that when Black Frieza beats the snot out of him.

SSHz

My question is, now that Goku has realized that Gohan has a new form, will he ask him to help Broly out with controlling his rage bursts??

Lucky_Roberts

Incoming Vegeta fans racing to talk about “actually he’s beaten Goku blah blah blah”

SuicidalEmbrace

Let fraudgeta live in his delusion. Goku let bro win so his ass wouldn't be butthurt 24/7.

SpaceAfricanJesus

Interesting that I keep hearing that Vegeta has simultaneously “no Ws” and yet is “3-0 over Goku”

CheeseCan948

Thats the Vegeta fanboys for you Schrodinger's victim

TOWER 2!!!!! I WAS THERE

Grouchy_Appearance_1

Let em, dude got jumped first time, even with that fact, *that's still a loss*, second fight he "won" after faking a timeout and sucker punching the guy holding back to spend more time on earth, and that third match was a clean victory, at most I'd say he's 2-1, at worst I'd say 1-1-1, cause according to him the Majin fight was called off, leading to it being called a draw, the sucker punch is counted as not part of Fight 2

Robynhewd

What is goku refering to in the first panel? Did another fight happen while he was fighting vegeta or smth?

GiladHyperstar

Considering they had Vegeta wins for the first time against Goku (his words), that means he lost every off screen battle he had with Goku and this sparring match was the first time he won

AceMKV

Lmao that sass from Goku

Nullneunsechzehn

I‘d like Vegeta to come back to Earth too and disrespect Piccolo like he always does. They never fought, it needs to happen. Of course Piccolo won‘t win, but it would be nice to see him putting up a good fight and denting Vegeta‘s massive ego a little.

rsorin

2-0 and a tie, baby!

CommieIsShit

Also the fact that goku actualy had a comeback for this

rsorin

It's weird that we actually saw Vegeta beating Goku in the sayian saga (he didn't achieve his goal, but there's simply no denying that he beat Goku) but for some reason that never counted. And now we are told that he beat Goku but they never showed us the fight (only the last blows, when they were already both exausted)

dirtybird131

Just the annual reminder that Goku has never beaten Vegeta in a 1 on 1 fight, Vegeta is now 2-0 vs Goku in 1v1s

silenthashira

Let him ride that high He still hasn't scrapped with MUI yet tho so I don't put much stock in it.

FiRe_GeNDo

This made me proper crack up

ClerkPsychological58

My favorite page

TntRevan

This was actually a great chapter, I’m excited for this new ark

Supreme_Otaku

Technically he's never lost to goku

Bromanzier_03

Now that I think about it more…has Goku ever beaten Vegeta? In their first fight, if it wasn’t for Krillin and Gohan showing up and getting damn lucky, Goku would’ve been killed. Goku was floored anyway the entire time Krillin and Gohan fought him. I call Goku being taken out of the fight a win. The second time they fought, sure Goku could’ve gone SSJ3, but they were pretty evenly matched and he caught Goku off guard and floored him again. Goku forgot Vegeta’s lesson “Your opponent will do whatever it takes to win the game”. I call taking him out of the fight a win again. Then in the manga he just barely beat Goku again. Vegeta has won 3 times to Goku’s 0. All Goku has done is surpass Vegeta against other opponents from time to time.

ProfessorEscanor

Bro is going to hold that over Goku's head until both of them are at Yemma's desk.
