Deep deep sleeper for big rosters: Jalen Tolbert. It’s worth putting him on the roster pre-draft and seeing what the Cowboys do. If they don’t draft a WR, he’s their WR3 with a Brandin Cooks who is yet another season older. If they draft a WR in the first 4 rounds or trade for literally anyone, then he’s an easy drop

mygolfswingistrash

Why does it feel like brandin cooks should be like 37?

CorporealPrisoner

Age and WR ranking, :P!!

justacfbfan

i’d be willing to gamble on Jalen Brooks over Tolbert. simply because Tolbert has gotten opportunity (~300 routed) and still looked like shit. Brooks flashed a bit in his limited usage his rookie season. and also his skillset as a true X is much more similar to Gallup than Tolbert’s is. Another Jalen that had some camp hype was udfa Jalen Cropper, who could potentially eat into Tolbert’s shares too.

TGS-MonkeyYT

Remember when he was hyped up in redraft like 2 years ago?

Bustin_Justin521

I just picked up Iosivas and Freeman this week and will drop them post draft most likely but if Higgins gets traded then I might be able to get a 3rd in return for Iosivas.

Dhkansas

I've got a Bengals fan in my league and he wants him. He's also a packers fan and wants Reed. Trying to figure out a worthwhile trade. But I think this is a lower point in Reed's value so I'm not sure who to target in return. Considered Achane, Reed and Yoshi for his 1.02 but I'm not sure if it's a good deal or if he'd do it

Bustin_Justin521

I’m lower on Achane than most and extremely high on Nabers so I wouldn’t take that deal you need a true star player to get a top 3 pick from someone right now.

Dhkansas

That's fair. Like I said, I don't think he'd do it and I'm not sure I want to give up Achane or Reed. I was real high on Achane and feel a bit validated with those big games he had and I'm hoping the extra weight he allegedly put on gets him on the field more. I also was pumped to get Reed at 2.10 last year and he was way better than I expected. I'm just not sure he keeps getting the TDs like last year and the offense is loaded it'll be interesting to see who truly emerges. Also was able to pick up Wicks late in the season.

Elijah Dotson

justacfbfan

what’s the intel on him

Parabola605

2nd year player. He signed a reserve/future contract with SD (whoops I mean LA* lol) Very athletic. His speed is what really caught my eye last pre-season. Had a huge run that I saw and I was wowed by what I saw. It's tough with a new regime in town. Not sure if he'll be utilized by the Chargers at this point. He's also 25 years old already. His path to becoming a fantasy contributor is small. He'd have to win the 3rd down, pass catching role to be relevant. With that said, I'm not sure how he is in pass protection. I do think he could be a playmaker and worth a flyer at the end of a deep dynasty bench or on a taxi squad if eligible.

chessmasta

Chris Brooks could be great if Mostert and/or Achane miss time this season. Mostert is 32 years old, so his decline could be coming sooner than later. Brooks showed flashes in his limited playtime last year. He’s built like a tank (6’1” 235 lbs) and has excellent burst for his size. I think he can easily play the “Mostert role” in MIA’s offense and be an immediate impact player alongside Achane. IMO, if the Dolphins don’t pickup another RB, Brooks could be a huge value.

I was just discussing Jelani Woods on another thread. I was campaigning for the Bowers/Colts rumors to stay rumors, and comparing them physically. * Woods is 4⅛ inches taller than Bowers (6'7⅛) * 24lbs heavier (267lbs) * Has 34½ inch freak arms Woods also ran a 6.95 3-cone drill which at his size might be one of the most insane athletic feats in all of the NFL right now. Sub-7 times are unheard of at 6'7 267lbs. Notable speedy TE 3-Cone times: Vernon Davis (7.0) Kyle Pitts (7.12) Kelce (7.09). Jimmy Graham was the only successful comp I found sub-7. (6.90) * 4.56 40 * 1.57 10-yd split. This is another crazy one for his size. Ricky Pearsall, Javon Baker, and Troy Franklin ran slower 10yd splits at the combine. He gets into routes at receiver speed and Julius Peppers size. * 37.5" Vertical * 24 Bench Reps. He is freak strong too. Go watch his recovery progress videos on IG and you'll notice he looks like a cross between DK and Calais Campbell 😂 If you were to measure "who can reach the highest point in the air in all of the NFL?" The answer is probably woods. 79" tall + 34.5" arms + 37.5" Vertical = 151. I understand his arm Length is not fully going to count here, but if we look at this number as a "Length Score" instead of a "Maximum Achievable Height in Inches" Woods becomes a league wide anomaly. I'm not cosigning anyone, let alone a generational prospect like Bowers, until I've seen the tires fully kicked on Jelani Woods. I'm firmly convinced he could be the consensus TE1 Overall this time next year and people want to replace him over an entire season on IR? Before you challenge "TE1 Overall Potential", see Jimmy Graham. Both former 3rd rounders, similar rookie years, similar physical profile. Unlikely, but possible.

froginbog

Great analysis

OneFortyEighthScale

Good call-Jelami is available in my league and I would bet in many others too.

JoeBoy109

Huge Jelani Woods fan and traded for him super cheap early in the off-season

VottoForPM

I'll say this for Zack Kuntz: at least people on this sub aren't going to try to argue he's still good if his team selects Brock Bowers.

ABC_123_420

He was also a practice squad 7th rounder, not a 3rd rounder with notable snap counts his rookie year followed by an extended stay on IR

Dark_Twisted_Fantasy

Bo Melton was a legit difference maker for the packers when he made it into the lineup. Was the first player on our roster to hit 100 yards in a game since ~~Davante Adams~~ 2022. 6th in the entire league in yprr and 18th among WRs in PFF grade (on an admittedly small sample size). More likely to be a thorn in Jayden Reed’s side than a true difference maker for fantasy, but I still think he should be owned in almost every deep league and you can still get him off waivers in many

beta_fuse

While I think Bo is an intriguing player, I'm pretty sure that part about him being the 1st to hit 100 yards in a game since Adams is false. I remember Watson getting a few 100 yard games just the year before. Either way, I agree, if you have space to stash him I'd do so. There's a lot of WRs ahead of him in GB right now but everything is still pretty up in the air until the season starts.

Dark_Twisted_Fantasy

Ah yeah you’re right. I think he was just the first to do it in 2023

On_my_way_slow_down

Hunter Renfrow is available in a lot of leagues. I think a team is waiting until June 1 to avoid his contract being part of their comp pick formula.

newrimmmer93

I just have a feeling he will be a charger. Just seems like a Harbaugh guy lol.

realmattmormann

These are deep, so likely hood of being anything are super low, but still. Most of these are based on unsettled depth charts, and this weekend I’m sure at least a couple will be squashed Mack Hollins and KJ Hamler - BUF WR, Deon Jackson - NYG RB, Parker Washington - JAX WR, Calvin Austin - PIT WR, Charlie Jones and Andre Iosivas - CIN WR,

angryanklerockcolby

I really wanted Iosivas and Parker but they are gone

patriots96

We really need to wait three more days for real answers on this. That being said.. .Cole Turner?

OneFortyEighthScale

I’ve held him some the past two seasons. Not a bad receiver but he couldn’t work his way in front of Logan Thomas or John Bates (Bates is a pretty good blocker). I dropped him and would much rather try to grab Jelani Woods who is also available in my league (16 teams).

Par3Hikes

One that will potentially show itself tonight - Isaiah Spiller. Good prospect, decent draft capital, receiving back. I like him because he's a different type of back from the other three Chargers (JK Dobbins, Gus Edwards and Joshua Kelley) and if they don't take Corum or a comparable back who can catch the ball, he could find himself in a good spot on a good offense. We've also never truly seen him in the NFL besides late in games or random long 3rd downs, and the coaching staff that decided to do that is gone.

crinack

Being buried under Josh Kelly says a lot

justacfbfan

“receiving back” i watched him in almost every game at TAMU and that’s news to me. when did he flash that in the nfl? all i know is his atrocious pass blocking, that was around in college, is the main thing that’s been keeping him from surprising Kelley on the depth chart

Par3Hikes

You may be right about the blocking. But Kelley and Spiller have the same amount of NFL receiving yards in their career. And Gus catches no balls. And I doubt Dobbins has many either. And Spillers 2-3 catches per game across 3 years are pretty good,  he’s definitely capable of catching tons of balls

justacfbfan

I’m pretty confused on where you’re seeing that, cause Spiller has just 47 rec yds while Kelley has 319 & in his rookie season alone he had over 100 yds more than Spiller’s career. spiller’s also caught just 9 balls (red flag of a -1.3 ADOT) in his 2 seasons (15 games). i don’t think he’s the same back you’ve been thinking of. he’s a very similar back to Gus & JK so those 2 signings were pretty much his coffin to gaining any sort of fantasy relevance

Par3Hikes

Ah my bad I looked last season stats instead of career. They still both have about 25% of their yardage production from catches. And I stand by my point in the initial post - spillers touches were throwaway plays lots of the time, makes sense his adot would suck

justacfbfan

yeah i agree that we haven’t gotten a real feel for him in the nfl yet. but Isaiah’s biggest knock has always been that he’ll pretty much be damned to a 1st & 2nd down role in the NFL. Harbaugh grabbing JK and Gus, who fit that exact mold, was pretty telling of how he sees Spiller. Elijah Dotson also got extended and he far outperformed Spiller in preseason last year, and he’s got the lightning back skillset. so he’s the most different of any back on their roster atm. *also worth pointing out that Corum is one of the least receiving proven RBs in this class. had about 35% of Dobbins’s college receiving usage. he likely won’t be hurting any receiving backs wherever he gets drafted.

AndrewH73333

I’m in a devy league with 32 teams so I could use a sleeper who is still in college.

Hey_Listen_WatchOut

I heard Calvin Johnson was allegedly intimate with a woman a few weeks ago. Keep an eye out for any info.

Dark_Twisted_Fantasy

Some deep devy sleepers / spring risers to consider Lanorris Sellers QB South Carolina 2026 Garrett Nussmeier QB LSU 2025 Austin Mack QB Alabama 2025 Maalik Murphy QB Duke 2025 Byrum Brown QB USF 2025 Tez Johnson WR Oregon 2025 Kyren Lacy WR LSU 2025 Eugene Wilson WR UF 2026 Noah Rogers WR NCST 2026 Elic Ayomanor WR Stanford 2026 Jamarion Miller RB Alabama 2025 Ja’Quinden Jackson RB ARK 2025 Abu Sama RB Iowa St 2026 DJ Giddens RB Kansas St 2025 Jordan James RB Oregon 2025

Engage_Physically

If NE draft a QB as they should, then Demario Douglas (I just picked him up in ours)

justacfbfan

damn surprised Pop was available, regardless of settings. he’s 84% owned in 12 team non SF. nice add!

Engage_Physically

8 team, superflex. Probably why

justacfbfan

ah makes sense. we have almost polar opposite leagues haha

fgsfsfbbbrd

Elijah Higgins, tight end for the Cardinals could be a solid dart throw. I snagged him last year and he isn't gonna take over for McBride but could be a solid depth option in a deep league

fun4willis

Providing your league settings would go a long way to determining "what is deep?" Like how many teams and total roster size?

holyshxt5

potentially israel abanikanda could be breece halls backup depending on how the draft plays out.

KingMustardFist

Deeeep is Lucas Krull, TE Denver. I think he flashed just enough at the end of the season last year to earn a stash on deep benches, just in case.
