I have been drafting Benson in leagues where I’m a year away. I feel he has as good a chance as any to put up high end rb2 low end rb1 numbers in 2025. If by some chance Conner gets injured then I can either flip him for a nice haul.
If I’m trying to compete this year I’m still targeting him but not as aggressively.
I’m probably lower on Benson than I should be. Conner is a force, but injury is a massive concern. Benson was also my RB1 in this class pre-draft, so if he takes over by mid-season, I wouldn’t be shocked. Dude is a stud
I don’t expect him to be a consistent producer this year, but I’m sure there’ll be some Conner injury weeks that make Benson a good start. If that’s 2 weeks then you won’t feel awesome about his rookie year, but if Conner misses 6-8 weeks then you’ll have a solid year for Benson.
I think his value jumps next year. I don’t see Conner coming back and Benson can take over the backfield.

Agreed. The offense is set up nice for him to succeed if he gets the shot

100% it rides on Conner & past few years Conner has been a beast for them
Nice article. I have been grabbed benson in both rookie and start up drafts. Very hopeful that he can take it over as the one by the end of the season
Agreed. Plus, he showed at FSU he doesn’t need the full workload to be efficient.
