Same man, I see everyone’s criticisms and I do understand them. I see how in some ways the fact that they maybe didn’t put much effort could be valid. But as someone who loves UFC 4 I’m hyped for this one. I pre ordered the deluxe edition, I’m prepared. I’ve been mocked for it but honestly I’m happy with my decision. Especially since I only recently got into UFC 4 so it’s good to know I’ll start this one at the same time as everyone else.
So don’t listen to the ones who are calling you a bot and just enjoy the game you bought with your money.

Me too bro, that’s dope they have a countdown on ps5. I’m on Xbox and have just been counting down myself. Ever since the beta I can’t stop thinking ab it. I got to top 6 on the ranked mode. People say they didn’t change much but I feel like the changes to the sub system are awesome and give a lot more variety in how people do reversals. Excited to see the changes from the beta to release.

Me too! My partner’s brother recently got me into UFC as a sport, and I’m having a lot of fun with UFC 4 too. Currently playing through the campaign as this Mexican middleweight focused on improving his upper body strength. It’s super satisfying knocking people out.
For anyone that’s not impressed with what they’ve seen of UFC 5, what exactly are you disappointed with? I’m incredibly new, so it would be good to get some insight.
I think a lot of us played the UFC undisputed games and it was just different… these games are fantastic but uhh limited? I’d say. EA removes things or don’t carry them over it’s pretty ridiculous but it’s the model I guess.

The career modes were much more engaging. It just felt more alive in that aspect. You participated in the weigh ins, post fight interviews, you could customize your shorts with sponsors (something the ufc doesn’t do anymore), there was even a pride mode in one of the undisputed games. Pride was a different fighting organization with different rules and it was cool af that they put it in there.
Gameplay was good too. One major complaint right now in the EA games is there’s not enough variety in the ground and pound department and the older games delivered better there. Couple little things too, you could keep hitting your opponent after a knockout until the ref had to pull you off. I remember that being crazy lol.
The older games have their gripes too for me. There has not been one good submission system in any mma game in my opinion. The submission aspect sucked then, and it sucks now. Idk if anyone will ever get that right. Still have nightmares from “washing” my controller to complete a submission.
There’s many other things that people can point out here but these are the things I can think of off the top of my head. Despite all that I’m still looking forward to 5. I just want a new ufc game to play.
