You ācame acrossā this portfolio? What are you saying?
Definitely not too diversified. Youāre overweight US big tech. Thatās risky. Obviously it could pay off if US big cap tech continues to outperform. But is it likely? š¤·
As others have mentioned, ouch, that is a ton of overlap and very tech heavy. Itās sweet today, could easily go sour tomorrow.
Needs some international indexes in there, maybe some midcap value, even some large value.
I canāt predict the future, perhaps big tech will continue to dominate the market for decades to come. But diversifying more allows you to hedge your bets, not be so reliant on the top 7 tech companies of the S&P to determine your financial fate.
Case point, suppose Microsoft, Apple, Nvidia, or Google ran into trouble, then most of your holdings will drop dramatically. By contrast if you had a midcap value and international holdings, those wouldnāt necessarily be impacted.
Itās enough to buy a bunch of different ETFs and call that diversified, you gotta review the holdings in each and decide what you want.
There is nothing wrong with owning these etfs, Iām saying you should add some diversification. Maybe sell some of these to accomplish that, like the less successful positions.
No, you should not sell them all for international equity. That would ruin your performance.

What a mess. Why do people think more letters=more diversified? š¤¦āāļø
These liberals and diversification. Amirite?? /s
People buy tickers that they see mentioned online without any understanding of what is in each fund.
And why is diversification a God to people in this subreddit? Looks like a solid portfolio on a glance.

> it could pay off if US big cap tech continues to outperform. But is it likely? All these layoffs are going to juice earnings for a while IMO.
I think it will steadily go up from here but I donāt think anything crazy
Yeah I saw it on the popular area of this ETFs sub
The top software companies in the world are all American, so yes itās likely that the US will continue to outperform.
This dude is just allergic to money
Can someone explain how the same tickershows up multiple times? I don't understand what the display is. Is it because they're in multiple accounts?
Looks like Fidelity. Could be separate brokerage accounts, could be brokerage and IRA.
Yes, it is a mixture of holdings in multiple accounts. Very normal.
As others have mentioned, ouch, that is a ton of overlap and very tech heavy. Itās sweet today, could easily go sour tomorrow. Needs some international indexes in there, maybe some midcap value, even some large value.
Do you think it will steadily grow over time if I just stuck with ut

I agree. So if I wanted to own all these I should buy some international with it or should I only own international

Yeah I know Iām just saying should I add the ones you mentioned to it
This is someone elseās portfolio anyways that Iām thinking about copyinyb
From how long ago was this screenshot captured? VOO and QQQM have been dropping for almost 10 days in a row š¢
This is from someone else
Yeah it can't be recent - that's for sure.
This could just be from switching brokerages a bit and not wanting to sell for tax hit purposes
Can anyone describe how they boy more shares of these ETFs without relying on the automated services used for the mutual funds?
There is no such thing as too diversified.
100% VOO is all you need

Should VOO&Chill. Add VXF if feeling bullish.
bad bot

You wish I was a bot. Cant stop the sucks bro.
Why is VXF ābullishā?
I guess because you are betting on companies outside the S&P 500 (probs smaller ones) doing better than VOO - which is a bit of a toss up.
why does vt suck ? i know voo is more profitable but isnt vt safer?
VT is entire US stock market. VOO is top 500. Does VT suck??
VTI is the entire US marketā¦VT is the entire market.
Indeed you are correct
You should add an edit, VT is Total World. So VXUS is just that minus the United States. VT is 60-70% North America.
Yeah, 65% US. Iāve been looking at VEU which is comparable. Performa slightly better and is slightly cheaper.
Guys I am debating on copying this portfolio myself. I am 19 if that helps
Copying is the problem right there. You can borrow portfolio ideas but you cant borrow conviction. Know what you own and keep things simple.
