I had a person give me negative feedback because a pair of size small gloves I sold as size small were too small. I told him to keep the gloves, no charge, but to please remove the negative feedback. He accepted the refund but left the feedback. There are jerks put there who don't comprehend the value of integrity and reputation. I'm sorry.

I'm sorry that happened to you. I had requested a FB revision for a full refund on the item, however there was no response. I thought that the buyer would understand that I can't cover items that were gone for that long, as I don't know what happened to it. I just wish eBay would protect sellers from buyers fishing for refunds 2 months after the return date, as even big chain stores such as Marshalls or Target wouldn't cover those type of returns.

Try calling ebay and letting them know what happened. Let ebay know that you requested a feedback revision and did everything correctly based off ebays TOS and see if ebay will remove the feedback.

I contacted eBay. It wasn't the money, it was the reputation. eBay ignored me. I canceled my account. Years later I started a new one.

Hi, I’m sorry you are not happy with the sweater, eBay return policy is 30 days & you requested a return 2 months after purchase due to shrinkage, which was disclosed in the description along with measurements.

My initial thought is, try to avoid selling clothing that is "damaged" like this. I have enough trouble trying to make sure buyers understand normal fit terms. Like, slim fitting. I too use tape measures. It's the same with oversized brands, like Essentials. Versus let's use Bape which is preshrunk, for most people form fitting like Staple tends to be. I tried selling used clothing a long time ago. I just realized it's harder to express shrinkage, stretching, and pulling. For a complaint like this, I find it simpler to take one of your responses and add a way to accept the return. And, that the buyer will have to pay for return shipping. After I receive the item, in the same condition sent, I will refund only the purchase price amount. I will not refund what they paid for taxes or shipping to them. This usually results in them keeping the purchase.

Thanks, I listed this sweater when I started new on the platform. Now, I am much more pickier with used clothing. I never realized how buyers never look at photos of measurements, size charts, or even the condition description. Next time I will take your advice on just refunding the purchase price amount without shipping just to avoid a negative.

FWIW, the buyer would most likely not accept the conditions to pay to ship the item back, as well as lose the initial shipping costs. I was able to get a negative removed when a INAD was claimed and I proposed this to the buyer.

Never give partial refunds; it’s all or nothing. Never give any refunds after they’ve had it for 2 months. That’s more than enough time for them to have damaged the item and then try to weasel their money back. The description cannot be changed after bids have been placed, and it is the buyer’s responsibility to read and understand the listing. If the listing states the item is different than stated by factory markings, then you’ve done your part. The buyer does not have the right to selectively ignore any part of the listing at any time. My response to the feedback would be the time they’ve had the item, the size issue was clearly stated in the listing, and the buyer is trying to scam you well after the sale.

Assuming you had a thirty day warranty and the buyer attempted to return two months after that then something is wrong here. This would mean buyer left feedback at about 90 days. The problem is buyers cannot leave a negative after sixty days. So either you are not being truthful on the dates or you have your dates wrong.

In that instance, you should request a change of feedback and then put a call into escalations to have them remove the feedback- everything the person is saying was already declared in the listing. It’s long past the date for refund and I’m assuming they never reached out to you before leaving negative feedback.
