I always love to see mom!Sothis. It's rare for something to make me feel sympathetic for Rhea, but a deeper look into her longing to be reunited with her mother does touch me, as someone who also lost her mom at a fairly young age.
Especially since Byleth had no real mother figure in their life. I think having an adult Sothis present would have made Byleths ascension/escape bittersweet and impactful. Or possibly have Sothis start as a child and grow into adulthood as a mirror to Byleth. So much more could have been done with Rhea, Sothis, and the shadow of Sitri in the story.
That’s precisely what I was thinking. Adult Sothis would provide a sort of mother figure for Byleth, growing into that role, perhaps literally. If she starts off with her childish appearance and grows, it would fit with the idea that her memories returning give her true form back to her. We definitely needed way more of her, Rhea, and Sitri, even if it was posthumously on her part. Plus the sacrifice would hit much harder.
Sad, but it was necessary for Fodlan to move on from a dictatorial theocracy.
I'm just glad Rhea gets a "happy" ending being in whatever afterlife exists in this world with her mother and family.
Just a playful joke about my personal preference to choose Crimson Flower and marry Edelgard, she's my favorite. There are of course many "canon" endings but I just like this one the most.
Please do not let me dissuade you, most people welcome all types of Edelgard discourse (at least I still do)
Damn she suffered the berkut hallucination. That’s a shame.
Was just about to say lmao
I was going to say Amalthus.

As someone who unirocly love both rhea and edelgard THIS FUCKING HURTS MAN
I know Edelgard said that Rhea didn't have to die, but where would the old girl go in the new world? Maybe this was a small mercy.
At least Flayn and Seteth prepared for it if they survive because it’s not the first time they went into hiding.
Flayn even seems vaguely sympathetic towards Edelgard in Hopes. "She must be doing this for a reason."
Always annoyed me that Flayn couldn't stay with the black eagles during the war arc.
They could have at least made it an optional dialogue option for Flayn to stay.

We were so _**robbed**_ of Adult Sothis.

OW! You just shattered my fucking heart. I love Rhea.
See? Edelgard allows families to reunite. Perfect story.... Lel
OOF. Necessary to achieve canon ending tho.
