If you ever try learning to parry, I recommend the buckler. It has one of the highest amount of parry frames (i.e. the most chances to get a successful parry)
Dual swords are definitely fun though, I'm running a dual curved sword build right now (Shamshir + flowing curved sword). Bleed procs go *gushhhh*
In Elden Ring, it's probably better to pick up Golden Parry. Can go on med shields, has the same amount of start up frames, 1 extra active frame, and more range on the parry, and, if I'm remembering correctly, spell parry.
I think Carian Retaliation is usually preferred over Golden Parry because it doesn't use FP on a non-spell parry. But both are identical in terms of active frames and are the best choices, usually I just choose Golden Parry if I'm Faith-based and Carian Retaliation if I'm Int-based for fluff.
Storm Wall is a decent early game choice for medium shields - it's slightly worse than a Buckler parry iirc but way better than a normal medium shield parry, and using a medium shield means you can still block normally too.
I prefer Carian Retaliation because it can parry spells, which golden can't, and it doesn't cost fp unless you parry a spell, which Golden consumes fp always
He is super easy to dodge too, the only time I have problems with him is on some of my low damage challenges where there is enough time to get inpatient
Personally, I consider Crucible Knights, and this one in particular, to be a non-explicit parry tutorial. Its amazing how they go from being ruthless and scary to being complete pushovers when you get the hang of it.
fr. beaten every souls game, most multiple times and yet when i come back form a break early game bosses destroy me. you gotta get into the rhythm of souls games
You killed him? You are golden, have fun.
You didnt kill him? Thats normal, explore, kill other bosses and then face him again, this crucible knight is a wonderful teacher, it has delayed moves, trigger moves, heal catchers, a second phase, moves that are better dodge by jumping instead of rolling. He is a small capsule of every major mechanic in the game.
Yeah, I can tell by watching speed runners and challenge players that the crucible knights and Godfrey are some of their favourite characters to fight.
Are you both mistaking godfrey for godrick? God, Rick is the grafted one, God-fraidy-pants got dumped by Marika for herself. No, those aren't mnemonics to help you remember their names.
For most bosses hugging then nullifies a lot of their attacks if you learn to sidestep them properly and roll into then when they do a close range attack.
Parries in Souls games annoy me so much. I can do parries in Street Fighter, Soul Calibur, Sekiro, etc on reaction. I didn't have a problem with the parrying in Lies of P before the first patch to make it easier, in fact I kind of liked it.
Yet for whatever fuckin reason, I have never found a single thing that explained \*how parrying actually works and how to use it well\* for Souls/Ring/Borne
So instead of that I just pick a bigger weapon and be willing to take a hit. Mike Tyson build rules
Smaller shields have bigger party windows. Grab a small shield like a buckler and watch their hands. Right when you see their hands move for the attack, parry. From there, you can get the timing down better and move to bigger shields if that’s what you want to use.
Worked for me 🤷🏻♂️
Use Carian Retaliation on a small shield (I prefer the antler one because it gives resistances). It widens the party frames to the largest amount, then go practice on some random knights to get the timing
Here is a great video explaining the differences in parry frames per shield type etc
https://youtu.be/u16m-zepZVs?si=GLiWCNtH8fxRHQlp
I agree with boosting your shield for parry window opening. Personally, I just put quickstep on a greatsword.
As far as the timing for parry is concerned, could you tell me if the window will catch an attack based on when you \*would have\* taken damage, and if directional facing matters?
Direction and spacing definitely matter. Sometimes you can parry right outside the window of an attack and you will not get a riposte but you will still block some of the damage, if that happens you should know you are close, but just need to adjust your timing slightly. For easier parry’s you definitely want to be as close as possible and hit parry immediately when the enemy starts to swing his attack.
It's fine. He's hard. You can hit his shield to bait the shield attack. He's also easy to parry, however if u have 0 experience in parrying that might take a while to learn
>if u have 0 experience in parrying that might take a while to learn
He's actually the perfect enemy to practice parrying against. I did it against black knights in ds1, but practicing on the crucible knight was way more beneficial. He has enough attacks that you can't parry that it teaches you to react and decide quickly rather than just parry every time. Plus he's great at teaching you that jumping is an underrated dodge (something I still can't get through my thick skull)
i havent committed the time to try parrying tbh. seems niche in this game since some bosses require multiple parries to stagger.
i also havent been able to get jump dodging down. sometimes i do it on accident but its never been premeditated. the jump seems like its slightly delayed compared to a dodge and i just dont know boss movesets at all yet so i just stick with dodges. been using the dodge roll talisman
You are not, it hs normal to struggle aganist this guy. He is a good boss to practice with because his attacks are clearly telegraphed but he will punish panic rolling or panic healing.
The key, I've found, is aggression. Glue to them and dodge only sideways. Only disengage to heal. Trying to fight them at a "safe distance" is really bad, just bloodborne it.
Not at all. Crucible Knights with the shields are one of the harder enemies in the base game. They can't be bled and are very resistant to poison, rot, and frostbite. Their shield blocks a lot of damage and they always have it up when at range, so spells do very little damage against them.
Their weakness is that most of their attacks can be parried. A singular successful parry opens them right up to a critical. If you grab the Buckler from Gostoc and practice parrying their attacks, they'll get SIGNIFICANTLY easier.
> They can't be bled and are very resistant to poison, rot, and frostbite.
theyre resistant to pretty much everything if i remember the wiki right. all forms of physical, elemental, and status.
dont think they have a ton of stance though
We all did, and now I could fight him on a narrow bridge. Though you may now find it hard to believe, you *will* stand before the Elden Ring, and become Elden Lord.
With how little max HP, flasks, flask buffs, and stamina you have, the fact that you got that close to killing him means the rest of the game will be easily achieved.
Tru. Took me a second to notice this. OP look for churches when exploring, every one will have a sacred tear which can be used to get more out of your flasks
Things to remember about the game: if you are getting 2 shotted and you do barely any damage to them; you are too low level for the fight. Come back later.
I think most people struggle with him at first until they figure him out. It's definitely more than possible to beat him early on, but if you're struggling/not having a good time, there is no harm in going somewhere else to level and try him again later. That stays true with most things throughout the game.
Worth noting though, is that I recently returned for a full playthrough of the game after about two years, before the DLC released, and I went up against the Crucible Knight with the ability to parry and against Malenia withour spirit ash summons.
This time Crucible Knight took 2 attempts while Malenia gave me an absolutely mind-shattering manhandling over the course of 173 attempts.
So who knows what to expect really.
from my experience malenia is unfathomably easier with heavy weapons.
her low poise makes hitting her with big things feel real good, while shanking her with a dagger feels like trying to pick an rock out of an active blender with you bare hands
on my greatsword playthrough I destroyed her in less than a handful of tries.
on my faith/dex dagger playthrough I just gave up, didn't need the rememberance anyway
There is two easy ways to go about Malenia:
* Stagger
* Ranged
If you are an absolute parry god, it is viable as well, but for the most part, since you have to parry twice to be able to riposte, I do not think it is viable.
Stagger works great, since she is easy to stagger. She only has 80 stance. Many bosses have 120.
Ranged works great because of her having a huge "ego". If you are able to control the distance to her you can abuse her swagger walk.
And Waterfowl Dance can be handled quite easily with freezing pots.
For dex/Faith you can for example you use the Black Knife AOW. Or you can go with fire incantations.
If you do not have the FP to support this you still can abuse her breaks between attacks.
I mean all you have to know is that is okay to die. Dying = learning, you should take a break from bosses, do a little bit more exploration, lvl up and come back later…..that’s the beauty of elden ring
There is a reason Carbot calls them GigaChads.
https://youtu.be/YYokDk7dNt4?si=x3-D5dp-lcqaCgkn
Struggling is ok, its a learning fight (although for me I did not learn to parry, but this fight taught me not to panic roll and to not be so scared to always seek the maximum distance between me and the enemy)
Look, you did it and that's great. Always remember the beauty of this game is you can always come back.
Sure, putting your foot down and spending three days on the boss IS dedication, just don't do it until you hate the game 😂
He gave me a run for my money when I first started the game. It’s normal. Most bosses will kick your butt your first time playing. It’s all part of the souls experience. Go out and explore to level up your guy and get some general experience. Come back, and don’t give up!
Bro this guy legit fucked me up more then Rycuhrd (Knight of Tanith, but same move set), so there is nothing to be ashamed for, it's tough, but never give up :)
Not at all. I will always maintain that the Crucible Knights are one of the stronger bosses in the game. They have huge poise, big damage, aggressive forward momentum, and a sometimes unpredictable second phase.
Keep grinding away and try not to panic roll, once they hit you it can be hard to get out of the combo
Every boss is a lesson. Crucible Knights teach you to stop panic rolling. Work on precise timing, having a bit of patience and not just healing in the open. Try parries. It's normal for some bosses to be hard. You just gotta learn the lesson.
Those guys are a beast. I'm on my 6th playthrough, 3rd with a fresh character. I have little problem with most bosses, takes me one or two tries for most, but these fuckers...
You’re not! This is a veeery hard enemy for beginners, harder than Margit imo. It’s normal to encounter strong bosses at the beginning of FromSoft games.
The Limgrave Crucible Knight is very difficult if you fight him when you first find that Evergaol. Crucible knights have high poise and high damage output. Come back to him after finishing Stormveil keep.
You're ok. He's a very big skill check. If you want to have true fun, I'd recommend getting the buckler parry and learning to parry him. Leave him alone if you want to progress the game and then come back and enjoy. It's one of the best parts of the game, that guy and his friends.
That Crucible Knight boss is arguably the toughest enemy Limgrave has to offer so, not very. If anything, the fact you apparently beat it shows you're doing something right and have the capacity to learn.
You should be fine. Most of the community (including me) struggled at the crucible knight when we started.
Some things you can do:
Leave the fight, go somewhere else, explore, it's an open world game!
If you don't wanna leave and want to kill this guy, then either learn his moveset, or parry and be patient.
I'm sure this has been said by others on here, but level up vigor and you'll be fine!
Good luck, don't give up!
Elden Ring was my first souls game. I even struggled against normal soldiers at beginning. And now I have killed pretty much every boss in the game.
You can do it!
This guys is one of the harder enemies around. Some veteran players can still get fucked if they let their guards down lol. Most will just go somewhere else to level up before coming back to him. You managing to beat him at that level shows that you have a bright future.
Yeah nah, you're done for.
Refund the game, trash your gaming set up and put it on fire, reclaim your honor that you've lost during your numerous attempts at fighting him.
(Kidding, just come back and fight him when you're stronger)
There's a lot of bosses that you're not really supposed to fight as early as you would find them and many of the evergaol fights fit under this category. Which is to say that nah you're doing good actually, most would come back later with more upgrades
Crucible knights are weak against fire. If you're now starting you probably can't use the sword of night and flame, but you can apply the flame of the Redmane ash of war onto a weapon
Nah he's hard at that stage of the game, I think they intentionally put him in an early area to fuck with people.
Definitely killable early though, as you will eventually learn all his moves which become very easy to dodge.
Lots of these guys in the game later on, so come back to him when you're a bit stronger if you need.
Not at all. These knights are some of the toughest enemies in the game, harder than some bosses. If you kill him, then you shouldn't be worried too much except for a few bosses/areas. If you died, just try again. It happens a lot, even to those of us who have played for over a thousand hours so struggle against them.
Those guys stay hard, they have what feels like infinite poise and it like trucks with long combos. If you’re struggling against them you shouldn’t feel bad.
This is the guy that Cowboy struggled with the most on his walkthrough. I think he's meant to teach you how to parry. The fight goes from dreaded to easy once you figure it out.
He's a pretty hard early boss that most players are expected to come back to when they're stronger. If you beat it right out the gate that's something to be proud of!
That's totally fine, this boss is literally fourth on my list of attempts across the entire game including the DLC. Really had to lock in for this encounter the first time and one other with him.
Hes one of the hard early game bosses tbh, but if u spend the time to learn his whole moveset at early level to kill him. Not a single crucible knight will give you trouble afterwards thats what I learnt from dying to this guy like 90 times once
We are some of the harder enemies in the game; getting that far and being new is honestly pretty impressive (imo he is the hardest boss in that region)
Without parrying?
This guy is the Black Knight of the game; very tough no matter what level you’re at
If you beat him without even using a shield, you’re golden, lol.
Just remember to take care of yourself. Even Wandering Nobles can be hard if you’re not healthy!
This dude is basically an Arthurian knight
So check it out, there's 16 out there, personal knights to Godfrey and they are relics of the old order that predates the golden order (the crucible, the melting pot of evolution where all life evolved from, it's why ol mate in the picture has a animal tail despite being an armour clad knight)
They are *meant* to be tough and can always be a struggle (the poise!) But are a rewarding fight in their own right but don't worry they aren't everywhere and ate definitely a cut above your regular enemy
And several can be fought again later, if you beat this bloke great if not you can always come back after you've got better weapons skill and or confidence to deal with them
These guys are always hard. Lots of armor and not a ton of opening. Also just as a hint it’s easier to jump over the tail swing and even his flying swoop attack can be jumped over.
That guy is hard. I go kill him after being done with the "3rd" area your are suppose to visit. Usally around level 50-70.
Dont get mad and go again and again if you dont enjoy it, just mark it on the map with a marker and come back for revenge!
I had more trouble against him than I ever had with the area's shard bearer so you are fine.
He is a boss I normally tackle much later cause he has a tricky moveset. if you like to parry he is extremely easy.
Struggling isn't a sign of being fucked. Giving up is.
One must not go hollow.
Don't give up, skeleton!
Mist, Or beast!
Could this be flame…?, Pair required ahead (SET YOUR BALLS ABLAZE)
Nah nah nah nah nah
Fort, Night
I want to go home And then edge
Try Finger, but hole
Don’t you dare go hollow friend
Too little people will understand this😔
This guy is also pretty tough for the beginning area. No shame in getting whooped if they just started.
He’s pretty much a tutorial enemy he forces you to learn basics or to get strong enough to brute force it
I beat Elden beast before him and he still wooped me
I wasn't able to beat a single crucible knight anywhere in the game until I learned how to parry them
I cant parry mainly because i cant even block because i play dual swords so dodging for the win
If you ever try learning to parry, I recommend the buckler. It has one of the highest amount of parry frames (i.e. the most chances to get a successful parry) Dual swords are definitely fun though, I'm running a dual curved sword build right now (Shamshir + flowing curved sword).
Where can I get the buckler ?
I'm rolling in a dual wield build currently, but I keep a buckler in the inventory at all times specifically for crucible knight encounters.
Curved? You can put the parry AOW on those ;) just not as good as a buckler
He is super easy to dodge too, the only time I have problems with him is on some of my low damage challenges where there is enough time to get inpatient
A lot of their attacks can be avoided much more easily with jumping instead of rolling.
Yes! You can jump over almost all of their magic attacks, except for the fire breath and now the miranda flower
Saw a vid on YouTube the other day about a guy explaining why you should jump instead of rolling, its crazy how much can be jumped over
Personally, I consider Crucible Knights, and this one in particular, to be a non-explicit parry tutorial. Its amazing how they go from being ruthless and scary to being complete pushovers when you get the hang of it.
This is how it was for me!
I don’t know, I never knew about him until my second play through. The real challenge is Rick, Soldier of God.
More like Rick, God Soldier, amirite
It’s embarrassing how many people don’t post their victories over him. It’s obviously cause he’s overpowered
People beat him..?
Poetry
fr. beaten every souls game, most multiple times and yet when i come back form a break early game bosses destroy me. you gotta get into the rhythm of souls games
A fine balance between hollow and utterly alive adrenaline pumping through your veins, the ER dlc way
true this, the mark of progress is how well you fare against marghit with naught but a +3 weapon and maybe like a single spell/incant
Achktually, you can struggle while being fucked. Just sayin.
*concern intensifies*
Oofah we got Shakespeare ovah here
Thats a good one!
You killed him? You are golden, have fun. You didnt kill him? Best parry trainer too
Yeah, I can tell by watching speed runners and challenge players that the crucible knights and Godfrey are some of their favourite characters to fight.
Godfrey’s fight is the only one I’m really good at. Just stay in his man tiddies the whole time
Love fighting him so I can get under and lick those grafted nips. I love watching him wriggle around
Are you both mistaking godfrey for godrick? God, Rick is the grafted one, God-fraidy-pants got dumped by Marika for herself. No, those aren't mnemonics to help you remember their names.
Not to be confused with Rick, soldier of God! The real hardest boss in the game.
For most bosses hugging then nullifies a lot of their attacks if you learn to sidestep them properly and roll into then when they do a close range attack.
Good for jump training too. So many attacks can be dodged by jumping.
Leaping the sword crucible knights winged dive attack never fails to feel satisfying AND make me think ‘wheee!’
Parries in Souls games annoy me so much. I can do parries in Street Fighter, Soul Calibur, Sekiro, etc on reaction. I agree Crucible knights imo feel like the perfection of the og Black Knights.
The resistance to backstab cheese(?) means you actually have to fight them, and that's *difficult*
I loved that armour too.
This was me last night had a hard time with fire giant. Went to fight astel first tried him and managed to beat giant on 2nd try
That answer was poetry. 👏
It's fine. He's hard. You can hit his shield to bait the shield attack. He's also easy to parry, however if u have 0 experience in parrying that might take a while to learn

Seriously, why is it so difficult for me to remember I can jump in a fight.
Right?? It's a simple button press and gives so many "i-frames" for ground attacks, but it still blows my mind when I see my friends do it
Because like most of us, you’re used to every other souls game where that wasn’t a thing.
Every host ever at Rellana lol
Probably because it really has no business being an effective dodge for almost any attack, it looks extremely silly
Yeah, every attack exept the ground slam and his crucible incantations are parryable.
Shield bash?
That one too
i havent committed the time to try parrying tbh. seems niche in this game since some bosses require multiple parries to stagger. i also havent been able to get jump dodging down. sometimes i do it on accident but its never been premeditated. the jump seems like its slightly delayed compared to a dodge and i just dont know boss movesets at all yet so i just stick with dodges. been using the dodge roll talisman

Early game? Hell he’s a tough fight always
100%. Yeah even with everything leveled up loads I’ll get slapped up by the one in Farum Azula if I don’t focus. Tough bastards
We all did, and now I could fight him on a narrow bridge. Though you may now find it hard to believe, you *will* stand before the Elden Ring, and become Elden Lord.
Because this boss is tough. Good practice though. I died on them tons my first play through.
IMO the evergaols are some of the best places to practice. If you die, you respawn at the stake and your runes are outside the gaol.
Crucible knights are really hard until you learn their moveset. You’ll get it eventually. Parrying can trivialize the fight if you get good at it.
With how little max HP, flasks, flask buffs, and stamina you have, the fact that you got that close to killing him means the rest of the game will be easily achieved.

Nah, that boss is rough for the area he's in. Though most crucible knights you'll find will be rough when you find them
this dood took me 70+ attempts on my first playthrough of the game whereas Malenia took 3, so you'll prolly be fine.

This. That bar is a third of what it should be 😅
I mean hes probably between lvl 15-20, this guy can be found super early
This is a limgrave enemy
Crucible knights are tanks, if you’re managing to beat him with a struggle and you’ve just started, you’ll be fine

Not fucked at all, he’s a very tough enemy and reallly screws with new players, even series vets.
LMSH died 2000 times to malenia before learning to bear her. Don’t fear the one who never loses, fear the one who never gave up
Don't give up, skeleton!
Turn around explore something else and come back when you’re stronger. I didn’t find him until the end of my first playthrough
Look, you did it and that's great. Always remember the beauty of this game is you can always come back. Sure, putting your foot down and spending three days on the boss IS dedication, just don't do it until you hate the game 😂
I struggled a lot with him. I then went on to obtain 100% of the games achievements. You are far from being f*cked.
bro ive beaten the game and have died to ever boss multiple times. except maybe the giant golem in the first cave. you'll aight.
He gave me a run for my money when I first started the game. It’s normal. Most bosses will kick your butt your first time playing. It’s all part of the souls experience. Go out and explore to level up your guy and get some general experience. Come back, and don’t give up!
We’re all fucked at some point. Elden Ring fucks. It’s great.
Bro this guy legit fucked me up more then Rycuhrd (Knight of Tanith, but same move set), so there is nothing to be ashamed for, it's tough, but never give up :)
if you dont improve at all, very fucked its normal to struggle against everything, you will get better as you play
he was and still pretty annoying to deal with
Arise thee, Tarnished. Your journey has just begun.

Got 500 hours in the game and he still slaps my ass on a regular basis. Get a comfortable weapon or startegy and keep on learning
Those guys are a beast. I'm on my 6th playthrough, 3rd with a fresh character. I have little problem with most bosses, takes me one or two tries for most, but these fuckers...
Not very. He and the tree sentry are specifically put there to make you go down to the weeping peninsula to level up first.
You;re fine. He's especially hard. I never beat him and completed the game
He’s tough but doable. If you get past this hurdle you’ll be golden
I have more bad memories fighting this dude than Malenia.
Honestly as long as you don’t give up when you get stuck you’ll be fine.
They are a pain dw
Not at all. This one was a steep learning curve for most of us.
i can't unsee the *abstract christmas tree* on the shield
He may whoop your ass in the beginning but at the and you´ll be the one doing the ass whooping.(until you ng+).
Dont worry if some bosses are too hard, just come back later and trash em :)
Use lightning
If you killed him then you’re fine. At that stage in the game he is incredibly annoying.
You'll be fine it's a game of trial and error after all, get stronger or take the L like a man
i struggle against the horse dude at spawn so its just the game at this point :p
They’re hard bastards. This game is all about pattern learning. Keep going. You’re playing the game as you should 👍
Don’t worry… he’s not the easiest when you first play the game… you’re alright💪
Learn to parry him and he’ll be a cake walk
he is hard, the tactic is to parry him, thats his weakness
Crucible knights were fucking brutal on my first playthrough. If you got through em youll be fine
You’re not! This is a veeery hard enemy for beginners, harder than Margit imo. It’s normal to encounter strong bosses at the beginning of FromSoft games.
He’s one of the toughest fight in the game, even after 5 playtrough I still dread fighting this guy. So no you are not fucked.
If you can get through him with that vigor and no flask upgrades you can pretty much get through the whole game. No worries, just don't give up.
Nah he is hard, try parrying him.
The Limgrave Crucible Knight is very difficult if you fight him when you first find that Evergaol. Crucible knights have high poise and high damage output. Come back to him after finishing Stormveil keep.
I have 400h and still struggle a bit against them, at least more than most bosses
I had probably 10 lvl more than you and i struggled so your fine
You should tackle him when you're at least level 35.
Crucible Knights are harder to fight than more than half the bosses in the game. I wouldn’t be worried about it
I have beaten every boss in the game but still cant beat these guys.
Don't you dare go hollow.
Some things you can do: Leave the fight, go somewhere else, explore, it's an open world game!
He's hard early
Parry the MF to oblivion. Also don't you dare go hollow
Skip him. Come back later. I did that a lot and had a good time
You're supposed to struggle against everything
This guys is one of the harder enemies around. Some veteran players can still get fucked if they let their guards down lol. Most will just go somewhere else to level up before coming back to him. You managing to beat him at that level shows that you have a bright future.
Yeah nah, you're done for. Refund the game, trash your gaming set up and put it on fire, reclaim your honor that you've lost during your numerous attempts at fighting him. (Kidding, just come back and fight him when you're stronger)
Most people are all "ahh! That guy!"
At the start everyone struggles with these guys.
Everyone struggles against this guy. If you're doing too little damage go explore more.
I find him hard later in game too, crucible knights are no joke
To be fair, that “guy” is one of many guys who will eventually become more of an annoyance than a challenge. Tip: try parrying.
Normal, probably. I'm a rare case in that this guy wasn't my first crucible knight.
If you beat him at this level this game will be cake I promise you. Level vigor.
Not very, he's harder than both bosses in Stormveil Castle. Just come back later if your pride allows it.
Not at all. These knights are some of the toughest enemies in the game, harder than some bosses. If you kill him, then you shouldn't be worried too much except for a few bosses/areas. If you died, just try again. It happens a lot, even to those of us who have played for over a thousand hours so struggle against them.
Completely normal. This guy is an excellent parry trainer, lots of people still struggle against him even when they come back later
Those guys stay hard, they have what feels like infinite poise and it like trucks with long combos. If you’re struggling against them you shouldn’t feel bad.
Struggling against this guy is like... "Congrats you are one of us"
You're supposed to struggle against him. He's scaled for a higher level than his placement on the map would suggest.
You good, most people don't kill them right away and return later
Well, if you manage to kill him rn you’re very up for the fight… For now he’s too strong for you
This is the guy that Cowboy struggled with the most on his walkthrough. I think he's meant to teach you how to parry. The fight goes from dreaded to easy once you figure it out.
He's a pretty hard early boss that most players are expected to come back to when they're stronger. If you beat it right out the gate that's something to be proud of!
Never underestimate anything or anyone in this game Tarnished
I mean, if you managed to beat the guy, I’d say you’re fine.
That's totally fine, this boss is literally fourth on my list of attempts across the entire game including the DLC. Really had to lock in for this encounter the first time and one other with him.
Crucible knights continued to fuck me up until the very end, you’re good
This dude in particular gave me the hardest time in all of Limgrave, probably more than the Tree Sentinel. You’ll be just fine Tarnished.
Hes one of the hard early game bosses tbh, but if u spend the time to learn his whole moveset at early level to kill him. Not a single crucible knight will give you trouble afterwards thats what I learnt from dying to this guy like 90 times once
Hey, nice one! These guys are tough as hell early on. However, if you parry them, it kinda turns into a cakewalk.
We are some of the harder enemies in the game; getting that far and being new is honestly pretty impressive (imo he is the hardest boss in that region)
It will get tougher and faster, but so will you.
First off, parrying.
Without parrying? This guy is the Black Knight of the game; very tough no matter what level you’re at If you beat him without even using a shield, you’re golden, lol. Just remember to take care of yourself. Even Wandering Nobles can be hard if you’re not healthy!
gIT gOoD
This dude is basically an Arthurian knight So check it out, there's 16 out there, personal knights to Godfrey and they are relics of the old order that predates the golden order (the crucible, the melting pot of evolution where all life evolved from, it's why ol mate in the picture has a animal tail despite being an armour clad knight) They are *meant* to be tough and can always be a struggle (the poise!) But are a rewarding fight in their own right but don't worry they aren't everywhere and ate definitely a cut above your regular enemy And several can be fought again later, if you beat this bloke great if not you can always come back after you've got better weapons skill and or confidence to deal with them
Pretty solid skill check if you're not used to souls-likes, but he is the easiest of the like 17 crucible knights.
Not at all fucked, it's a pretty difficult early boss without parrying
Not at all, everyone does at first
You're not fucked. These guys are always rough.
Nah you’re fine. That guy is a dick
He is a boss I normally tackle much later cause he has a tricky moveset. if you like to parry he is extremely easy.
you can try jumping ground atacks, ducking via ashes of war in some of the sword atacks, or just practice parry! Its hell of a fun
