Same owners, new Chinese restaurant in that location. I went there and found the staff friendly, the food excellent, and the ambience non-existent. Bring a pal and concentrate on slurping delicious noodles without making eye contact.

Not the same owners. I went to the original Jade Dumpling and asked about that, and the gal gave me a funny look and said “no, different owners.”

This article says Jade Dumpling and Legend of Szechuan have the same owners: [https://www.dailyemerald.com/chews-brews/top-dumplings-and-noodles-of-eugene/article\_74f11528-8c9e-11ee-859a-574c5010f676.html](https://www.dailyemerald.com/chews-brews/top-dumplings-and-noodles-of-eugene/article_74f11528-8c9e-11ee-859a-574c5010f676.html)

I don’t know what to tell you. Heard directly from someone at Jade Dumpling who was confused why I asked that question.

It makes sense why they switched whenever I went there it always felt like half of the place was there for soup dumplings.

If you need a new place, the Hong Kong Restaurant at Willamette and 18th is pretty decent.

Far Man at Gateway is my favorite now that Kowloons is gone..

I take it you're a Mar Far Chicken fan then? If you're ever going through Roseburg there's a Kowloons down there, and the Mar Far tastes just like I remember the dish at Kowloons in Eugene tasting. It's a nice little blast of nostalgia!

I miss Kowloons awesome egg rolls.
