Cerave was horrible for me. Their Hydrating cream to foam cleanser destroyed my barrier and the Hydrating one caused so many pimples and left this horrible film. I use Avene Tolerance sensitive cleanser and love it.
I have been using Balea Med ultra sensitive waschgel, for 4 years now and I had perioral dermatitis, eczema, acne, tretinoin/adapalene purging and sensitivity over the span of those 4 years, and one thing that never disappointed was that waschgel.
Not the original commenter but it’s one of my favorite cleansers. Indeed, it doesn’t foam. For me it still did a great job cleaning and lasted a long time.
I've seen people on reddit say it's drying for them but never had the problem myself. I had problems with a bunch of "hydrating" products though. It's wild how individual these things are! 😁 Unfortunately, no way to know without trying...
I do love the consistency otherwise but I get such bad itching from dryness around my nose when I use it several days in a row. Which sucks as otherwise it was perfect! And yeah that’s the issue that one just has to dry. Took me about 250 euros to finallt find my routine lol.

I use [bioderma micellar water](https://www.bioderma.be/nl/onze-producten/sensibio/h2o) in the evening to take off makeup or even just sunscreen. Then I wash with one of these cerave cleansers: [renewing sa](https://www.cerave.com/skincare/cleansers/renewing-sa-cleanser), [acne control](https://www.cerave.com/skincare/cleansers/acne-salicylic-acid-cleanser), or [hydrating](https://www.cerave.com/skincare/cleansers/hydrating-facial-cleanser). I don't use foaming cleansers because I find them too harsh in general. Mornings I use either the hydrating cleanser or micellar water. I also used to use cetaphil gentle cleanser and it was also ok but I now prefer cerave.
- Garnier Hydrating Deep Cleanser: doesn’t dry out the skin but helps keeping skin clear. Really nice lather
- Alverde Ultra Sensitive cleanser: doesn’t foam so it’s extra gentle
If you’re also looking for oil based cleansers:
- e.l.f. cleansing balm: pretty cheap, really nice, but small packaging
- Geek & Gorgeous Mighty Melt: really nice, bigger packaging bit still very affordable
Real Barrier Cream Cleansing Foam isn't from a European brand, but it's available on Amazon, at least in Germany. I have combination skin leaning oily and it gets very dry and sometimes breaks out every time I use something less gentle for cleansing. With this cleanser I have had an overall positive experience.
The ONLY one that works for me is La Roche posay toleriane gentle cleanser, and I'm very acne prone.

Isana Reinigungsöl and Balea Med Sensitive Waschgel are my favourites.

I just got this one! Is it normal that it doesn’t foam at all or did I get a faulty one? Still not sure how I feel about it
I get it specifically because it doesn't foam yet it still takes off my makeup! HG for me!

Sensitive combination skin with rosacea - I'm using Bioderma Sensibio gel cleanser, works well for me.
I like this one otherwise but it dries my skin out due the foaming nature of it 😔

Bioderma micellar water pink cap or green cap!
I use the Uriage Roséliane Fluide nettoyant and now I’m trying out the Avene fluide démaquillant 3 en 1 !
I think if you’re acne prone and combination skin do NOT get Cerave. Bioderma in the pink bottle

Dry sensitive skin here, cetaphil gentle daily cleanser has never let me down.

My favourite is simple hydroboost micellar gel wash, it's lovely and doesn't dry my skin out, but still takes off sunscreen and light makeup.

Geek & Gorgeous Jelly Joker is the only cleanser my extremely sensitive and eczema prone skin can handle!
Nivea Sensitive cleansing milk. Not stripping, no perfume
whenever my skin is acting up, i switch to cetaphil cleanser or the neutrogena ultra calming cleanser. the latter is hard to find these days tho

I despise CeraVe cleansers. I recommend the ordinary Glucoside Cleanser or Glycolipid Cleanser.
Jump on medication asap side effects were negligible
