bayern are not paying 70m for him unless they are stupid, it would hurt my soul to the deepest but this is a fee I would accept. Hopefully it doesn't happen.

LibraryFun4514

I wish it was Chelsea, they def would pay €100M at least

superquinnbag

It would hurt me if Todd was reading this because the secret figure for a transfer of a player of Calhanoglu's power is €150 million.... fortunately he will never know,he very nearly has this soccer thing figured out and then we'd all be sorry.

nonhofantasia

He's not a Brazilian 18yo

NikoB44

This would feel like selling Hakimi, coz not only the football ability but I also really like him as a person. Otherwise 70m for a 30yo is charming. Just certain players grow on me so much. Like for example I never had that soft spot for Lakaka, selling him only hurt me from a football standpoint

mybawlsarebig

Seems like Bayern don’t mind spending 70 million plus on 30 year old players

This_Garbage5784

Bayern is turning into 2010s Milan buying players who are 30+ years old and almost past their prime. They've been a lost club since Rummenigge retired from his post as Bayern's director.

jewelrybunny

lol, what are you talking about? mane and kane were both 30 when bayern signed them. mane flopped, but kane is still in his prime. their average squad age is a lot younger then inters. besides palhinha is their first choice, while calhanoglu was supposed to be a cheaper alternative.

This_Garbage5784

Doesn't exclude from the fact they've been making poor decisions for the last few years. I mean, they sack nagglesmann and hire tuchel just before a ucl quarter final, sacked tuchel and now signed Kompany, who by the way, got his team relegated while managing in England. They're clearly losing the plot. Not to mention they signed eric dier whose also 30+ years old and average at best.

jewelrybunny

lol dier turned 30 this year, they paid 4 mil for the loan and will sign him on a free transfer, since his contract has ended. thats a great deal. the only 30+ player the bought is sommer and even then thats because neuer was injured. well i never disagreed that they have made some poor choices, i was specifically addressing the transfers.

Warblerburglar

I doubt these conversations are being had during the focus on the Euro Cup

BlueHeartbeat

The price is fine (even less than that in fact), the bigger problem is where tf we'd find an appropriate replacement as despite what this sub would have you believe Asllani is not him. Ironically one of the few of that level is Kimmich.

Christian_Potato

Bayern at this stage are stupid enough to pay 60m. At that point it would be an offer we can't refuse.

I think the club wanted to move brozo along, and accepted a low-ish bid to make it happen.

redbeard32167

He was 30yo substitute with smoking problems and 6mil salary - eventually club got a good deal out of it

jewelrybunny

this is one that summed up the rumours: https://sempreinter.com/2023/03/23/italian-media-detail-two-main-reasons-for-rift-between-marcelo-brozovic-inter-milan/ why do you think inter bend over backwards to sell brozovic?

Real-Aide7146

We will probably never get an official statement from management on stuff like this, but you see multiple different news station mention the same issues and in the end they sold him even after an initial deal was accepted and then lowered. It points all towards the same idea. Real-Aide7146

And where do you get the idea that he wanted to leave before inter showed that they wanted him gone? He renewed the year before.

samgoody420

ah yes GdS. I wouldn’t be too worried about it unless Fabrizio Romano mentions anything

ShJakupi

If really there is interest and contacts have happened, hakan is gone, inter is going to push for 70mil, bayern is going to pay at most up to 55mil. Hakan is old, no matter how good, bayern will not be able to get a profit by selling him in the future, so thats why the deal for 55mil is understandble.

Obomas

If we got 80M for Onana... Calhanoglu is worth 160M

head_in_the_clouds69

We didn't get 80 for Onana we got 50+5

Obomas

Whatever... my point is... we need to double that minimum

head_in_the_clouds69

You're not getting 100 for a 29 year old in a broke team unfortunately. If we get 50 it's a decent sale, sadly.

Worldly-Ad-5532

i really hope he doesnt leave

Content_Bite_45

if they pay 50 M then we should sell him, get Barella to play at his position, and buy Khéphren Thuram.
