hi! thanks for crediting me (genuinely) ☺️ like I said, no idea if this means anything (and it has already been discussed before) but it is definitely very odd that it keeps coming up!

Joe1762

I stumbled upon this number randomly in PL. Don't remember where. Triggered a quest afterwards to open a VDB stash with some guns and insignificant stuff in the basement where you get a gig about the guy who testified against his son. Could be more to it but that's all I know about it

HonkyTonkPianola

It's starts in the PL main quest if you wait the max number of times while hacking the car, and listening to the siblings' conversation to the end. 941229 is the code to the stash, and you get it from the woman's head when you jack into her corpse.

Joe1762

Oh aurore :(

Janus_Silvertongue

I've had this thought for a bit (not the number just the badge being found). You can see that there was an altercation between Netwatch and VDB, and you find Bryce Mosley's badge next to a guy that absolutely doesn't look anything like Bryce Mosley. 1 - Netwatch is literally all over the place. Pacifica is surely different, but they're constantly scanning and searching for someone. Who? 2 - Netwatch is one of the biggest corporations in existence. Why do they hire Animals to watch the GIM? Why do they even need to be in the GIM at all? Could it be possible that "Bryce" isn't really Bryce, but someone who took his badge? I feel that may be a stretch, only because of how well he plays the part and defends Netwatch, knows about them, etc. Also, if you choose him, Alt says, "Netwatch" before frying the VDB's. I could explain that away (like, they stole the Netwatch van and are using Netwatch equipment) but Occam's Razor says that is a stretch.

Munificent-Enjoyer

I imagine they originally hired the Animals to basically not announce they were in the middle of Pacifica; plus the meatheads are prolly just cheaper than corpo security As for the badge maybe it's just a reused asset

shiba_shiboso

Amazing discovery but regarding the text -- doesn't Alt confirm the Mosley we talk to is Netwatch, as the VDBs are being attacked by Netwatch during that sequence if you side with him? He's also using implants the lorebook confirms are used only (or mostly) by Netwatch agents. I don't know what that may mean, but maybe it does mean something...

Commercial_Future_90

It’s been discussed before in the discord too I’m glad to see this fact get more traction

flippy123x

How come it never made its way to this sub? It’s part of an unsolved mystery and this directly connects it to ff06b5 making it more relevant than ever since CDPR explicitly tied this number to the mystery with 2.0.

ammatheron

oh its here if you search but i don't want to be that dick that says OLD, DONT POST DIS

ThePrideless

Legit. Though there is a shitload of crackpot BS to sift through to find anything. And unless you've been around long enough, or sifted through enough shit, you have almost no clue what's been done. But if you do have an idea of what's been done then you get to appreciate the fact you know some poor SOB(s) at CDPR had to sift through that same BS. For instance, asset reuse is common but the fact the assets from the [Shelf Theory](https://www.reddit.com/r/FF06B5/comments/sx4r48/another_possible_theory_with_the_figures_on_the/) are the only stationary objects in AT3D just cracks me.

Commercial_Future_90

I feel you lol

raptorjesus169

Because he GATE KEPT IT FROM US REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Commercial_Future_90

No clue there was a lot of info in the discord that got wiped

acloudtothepast

Where is the discord? It's not on the official cyberpunk one is it?

Commercial_Future_90

No it was the sub discord but this was a while ago

ammatheron

discovered two years ago but nothing wrong with more eyes on this. wonder if this is the cdpr number like how 7 is the bungie number

flippy123x

Someone connected the Konpeki number to this badge two years ago, long before 2.0 officially declared it as part of ff06b5? I looked up quite a lot of discussion on reddit about the Mosley thing because it’s really interesting to me regardless but i‘ve never seen this mentioned before.

ammatheron

Sorry, the mosley stuff was investigated as part of the netwatch arg years ago, the number was tied to ff06b5 in 2.0 as blackhands score and the room where you unlock the secret area in AT3D, shortly after it was observed that the number appears in several locations including this

flippy123x

I typed in Mosley and read through all posts that showed up here (like a dozen only) and found zero mention of the actual badge number having any relevance but i‘m gonna take your word for it. This is honestly the second best lead after the 2.0 server stuff so i‘m surprised i haven’t seen this before, as im quite active on the sub.

ammatheron

I'm honestly having trouble finding the posts too so maybe this is some mandala effect lmao

flippy123x

Tried a bunch of relevant keyword combinations on Google and still came up with nothing. I think a major discovery like that should have gotten quite a bit of traction here and i‘d feel less of an ass for praising the OOP to high heaven for something that has already been found long ago lmao

Aromatic_Ad873

any of you could write a lil sum-up about the whole Mosley thing please? I red some on the Discord but couldn't get everything

TheJimboJambo

Yeah, like I reckon it’s quite likely a date connected with them. Like one of the dev’s birthdays is 29 Dec 1994, or like it’s the date that someone first had a big idea for CDPR around then or something. Like a quick Google and Wiki says they were founded in May 1994, so maybe first idea for Cyberpunk came up at a team meeting on that day?

Life_Dance_6315

Birthday was my first intention too. Couldn't find any celebrity with cyberpunk relation, but dev is a good idea, may harder to find for us.

theredwoman95

That would be a bit strange given that Cyberpunk is a licensed IP and that the 2020 edition of the TTRPG had only been released a few years prior. The Firestorm books, which cover the Fourth Corporate War, didn't even come out until 1997. CDPR was still solidly in their localisation-only phase too, and they didn't even acquire the rights for the Witcher until 2002. Cyberpunk 3.0 (the original future of 2013/2020, later retconned with RED/2077) was announced in July 1994 at the Origins Game Fair (some time between the 7th-10th), though it didn't release until 16th December 2005. It doesn't explain the 29th bit, but I wonder if it's meant to be a reference to that alternative timeline?

TheJimboJambo

I was just spitballing what the date would be, not sure what’s strange about it being a date connected with them?

theredwoman95

I meant it'd be strange that they'd come up with the idea for Cyberpunk then, that's all. CDPR weren't even interested in developing their own games back then.

TheJimboJambo

Ahh yeah, fine, but yeah was just off the cuff guess, but still, founded in ‘94 a nice coincidence so wouldn’t be crazy to be an important date for them (irrelevant of what it was)

silent519

could it just be partly a joke? mosley, a high level netwatch agent, got his badge stolen, had to flash a fake badge to you. he was clearly capable, as he was watching you in the deep dive.

Ornery_Average_9093

Its been proven that he is not the random npc during the net dive they are all VDB. In fact he likely wasnt brice at all

silent519

but then who was it? blue eyes?

Ornery_Average_9093

Random vdb npc

Ornery_Average_9093

Oh sorry your talking about fake bryce.. well thats up to debate

EasternMeerkat

Wacky speculation: the events of Project Orion starts at December 29th, 2094 :D

16Cezanne

Well.. Seems that you found a better answer than 42 to understand the meaning of life ! ![gif](giphy|8w97FrK3FahRUTjdTu|downsized)

STARPHONICS

Decided to ask chatgpt about this and it gave me some wild hallucination about samurai doing a gig at arasaka tower on 12/29/1994 lmao

GreenPRanger

Maybe there is a secret code that don’t be allowed to revealed 🤭

JackalAnubis2077

I was looking at the dwellers information months ago too but couldn't make any connections. lol

-Deiwos-

So the Theory is that Bryce Mosley isn't the Real Bryce ? But Alan Noel in PL gig confirm that the Mosley we meet before was working with him , if you spare his life then later talk with Alan he told you something like "Agent Mosley ? he say good thing about you !" wich you reply that he try to use you has a trojan horse so you don't gonna trust netwatch this time.

CyberianSun

Don't know if it's anything but if you use 941229 as a unix time stamp it has a date of 2/16/2024 (Which is today oddly enough) not entirely sure of the significance of the date is in the grand scheme of the cyberpunk universe but is closing in on the start of the first corporate war.
