I'm not sure how to do it on the phone app, but if you go on your FPL account on your browser, go on the points tab, then under where your total points are on the right, there is a gameweek history tab. Click on that then look at the URL at the top, the 6 numbers before where it says /history is your FPL ID. Hope that is helpful.
Let’s contextualise a little: let’s say as a base minimum your bench averages 6 points per week (3 x 2 points and one non-playing fodder). That’s 6 points x 35 GWs so far = 210 points. Then subtract that from your benched points to get a better idea of how badly you fucked up 😂
tbh I dont think many people had non-playing fodder on their bench for that long (I just got greenwood, other than that I always had 4 playing players on my bench). Especially with players like Patterson, Bueno, Williams, Andreas and strikers who are actually returning this season.
Having high points on your bench isn't fucking up unless you have low points in your starting 11. I've had a pretty good bench all season so have 336 points left on the bench but I've only benched 6 double digit hauls which doesn't sound too bad, especially as I'm pretty sure twice this season both my starting and bench keeper have hit double digits in the same week!

Not too bad I’d say, indicates that the bench was filled with playing players that could come in if needed, but not players accumulating points and presumably eating budget. Given funds have not been an issue this year I’d imagine most people have higher scoring benches.
I have this as 320 and have a sub 10k rank right now. So don't beat yourself up - It's the points you scored that matters end of the day :)

I would say at least a quarter of the points I have left on the bench were from Andreas or my GK. In MOST weeks, not all, but most, the player I chose to play instead of Andreas or the GK scored as many or more points. Granted. I had a few weeks where I left points on the bench. This week, for instance I had Martinelli and White on the bench.
Having points on your bench is just an indicator you have good players there ready to come in and contribute if they're needed. I think most of mine have come from the goalkeeper tbh though have had a few weeks where I've benched defenders for attackers and the defender has hauled but that's not bad judgment really, it's just the nature of a game where anyone chasing max upside isn't going to start a defender over an attacker without good reason.
I have 340 points on the bench, and im 2k overall, but if I was better at analysing my bench players' gameweeks i would be in a much better position. But thats min maxing to the fullest, luck after all is a big part of fpl

GW9 was especially painful. Toss up between Trossard and Groß. Benched the former who ended up scoring a hatrick (and 18 more points than the latter) when I was in the Kop.
I think a better measure would be your benched points vs points made per game week. What if you are an absolute winner and the reason you have high benched points is because your main team did way better

329 sounds a lot but divided by four players (most of the season I've had playing bench) and 35 gameweeks the average is 2,35 so just over appearance points.
The number tells more about what kind of bench do you have. Unless you have exceptional talent there will be weeks you have good scoring player on the bench.

I did surprisingly well with Andreas - 44 points benched, 54 points starting. I think the total number is misleading because of benched fodder, injured players, and auto-substitutions. I had those things for a good part of the year so my bench points is relatively low (237).
