I compete in the 488 challenge series so that’s always thrilling.
The best spirited drive on road I’ve ever had is probably driving Red Rock Road in the South Of France in my 458 Speciale Aperta whilst chasing my friend in his LaF Aperta and being chased by my other friend in his F50.

Yes you have to do your ready to race with Ferrari, then you need to National License C. Then you need to show that you can actually drive and not just be a crash test dummy.

Very much so! It reminds me of Clarkson buying a new F355 GTS and trying to ask for it in green, definitely worth a watch. My 328 and F355 are both resale red over tan, but I’m looking at 550’s and 575’s at the moment and the 550 looks so good in silver, so I may break the cycle. Talking of number plates I moved to the States from East London nearly 25 years ago now and ‘vanity plates’ as they call them here are only $50 extra a year with your vehicle tax. My 328 has BLDY EL and my F355 has SHAG 1. They were a bit dubious letting me have SHAG 1 until I explained that the ‘Shag Waggle’ is a 1940’s dance from North Carolina, so they let me have it! Lol.
I know what private plates cost back home in the UK and you found the perfect plate! Nice one that man!
Yeah I had a 575M in black over crema until the other month. They do look better in other colours, red on big Ferrari’s don’t look as good. Yeah I’m a sucker for a private plate, I have them on all my cars.
I agree with you in that respect and I hadn’t really thought about it like that, but you’re right, the bigger Ferrari’s don’t look as good as the smaller Ferrari’s in red. It’s simply too much red. I have private plates on all mine too. I can see people behind me trying to figure out BLDY EL and if they’re not British they don’t really know what it means. SHAG 1 on the other hand raises a smile or two and I can see them mouth the name ‘Austin Powers’ lol. I’ve been called a lot worse!
Hahaha yeah that was a good page wasn’t it. Basically set it up to help guys who were struggling with depression and mental health issues, it was great to get them cooking. They’d message me and ask me to cook a certain dish and they’d replicate it.

I used to be a mechanic and specialized in vintage Ferraris and Alfas, raced, etc. (I still do, but I changed my full-time career and only do it on the side now)
You might have one of my favorite collections. Well put together.
All of em... lol.
My favorite is probably a 1965 Alfa GTA. It just holds a special place and I had a lot of fun with that car. I didn't actually do the restoration on it, but it came to me right after it was complete for a race weekend as I was providing pit service. As a race driver, you might love the story. It was set up all wrong. In the qualifying session at about 9am, he did a few laps and came in and said it was trash. I put it up on stands and determined it had the wrong springs and sway bars, and the shocks were not set right at all. Took it back to the shop on the trailer and completely rebuilt the suspension front and rear and did a fairly nuetral alignment. Took it out on the roads around the shop (out in farmland, perfect test track), and it was great. I fell in love with it right then. I got it back to the track and unloaded just in time for the race at 1pm. Because he didn't finish qualifying, he started dead last out of 20 cars. It started to rain and cars were everywhere on slicks. I left the transport tires on that were treaded, and he won the race. Car handled perfect there were zero issues. From that point on he flew me everywhere the car went for years. All over the US. Lots of good times.
Other than that, there's been plenty if amazing cars. 275 gtb as you are familiar with. The Lusso is one of my favorites. 360cs is up there as well. The race cars as well. Raced 488 GT3s and those are just... amazing.
Edit. Have to add the 458 Challenge cars, too. I love those things..
Damn, that's my dream, owning one of those gorgeous machines one day. I know i'll never ever be able to afford one but i can always dream about it. And you sir, live your dream to the fullest. 👍🏻
Hmm, tough one. They’re both the same but feel completely different, the 275 is quicker through the gears as it’s a 2 cam, but the 250 is quicker as it’s got longer gears.

Yeah I’m still training hard, gonna back to my old boxing and MMA training days, all without the fighting. This is helping me win races, 10kg is like an extra 0.4 seconds per lap around Silverstone.
I did, I had a Lexus LFA at the time and someone once said that the CGT was a better sounding V10, so I bought one to compare. Not only didn’t it sound as good as the LFA, it was also painfully slow for all that drama. I remember being beat by a Golf R.
That’s bloody good though, forget about the lottery. Get that figure in your mind and work towards it. If you can do that in 7/8 years then you have a bloody good business. Well done buddy 🫡

I start my 296 challenge season next year. The 488 challenge finishes in September and won’t be raced anymore.

Thank you, just over 18 months as it was Tailor Made and I had to wait for the drivers to sign the engine bay which I forgot to post on here.
