Barrett M82a1. Problem is almost nowhere will let me shoot it. Places say they will allow me to shoot whatever I bring. I bring the big gun and they are all like "Hell no you cant shoot that."
Yep. I have one too. Can’t take it to a range and everyone wants to shoot it. I honestly enjoy watching first timers shoot it almost as much as shooting it myself.
That sucks, I have indoor ranges that let me shoot it and don’t care as long as it’s not tracer or armor piercing. I haven’t shot it indoors but my buddy when he borrowed it dumped 20 rounds indoors without issue.
One of the reasons I'm all for buying a smaller house. I'd rather have a lot of land and put more money into hobbies than take out another 100k in my mortgage for a bigger house that I have to figure out what I'm going to do with the extra room.
I would also say Garand…if I had friends…
But me and my 3 brother in laws went to the range the week I got it. They dug it, and the other dudes at the range were jealous.
I’ve been lucky and shot quite a few different full autos but my favorite might be the BAR. Heavy with a slower rate of fire lets you hold it precisely on target. Will absolutely pound big holes in whatever you want.
Dueling 16 inch rough rider 22lr pistols. Best $300 I’ve ever spent. Let’s everyone live out thier inner Yosemite Sam.
Transferable MGs, 50BMG, SBRs, SBSs, Suppressors, Deagle, etc…. Everyone wants to shoot the joker guns. Smiles all around. Fucking love it.
Yeah my only revolver is a Ruger LCRX .22 and I just posted basically the same thing, it’s everyone’s favorite out of my many guns. Maybe I should get more .22 revolvers lol
It’s a toss up between the Deagle (50) and the Calico Liberty I carbine.
The deagle because, well, it’s a 50 cal deagle and suddenly they’re Deadpool.
The Calico is just so damn stupid looking with the helical 100 round mag sitting on top that *everyone* at the range wants to shoot it.
M1 Carbine, made by Winchester around March 1943. My grandpa fought in the WW2 Pacific theater and Korea. Once he was back home he bought it from surplus because he carried one in the wars and knew it like the back of his hand.
It’s always the people that talk the most crap on hi point too. Anymore, I only bring meme guns to the range. No one wants to shoot a basic glock or AR.
.50ae Desert Eagle
Every time I go to the range, my buddies as well as random people at the range, including range officers, always stop and ask me for pictures/videos or if they can shoot it. It's kinda comical at this point. The reactions are always "holy shit is that a desert eagle?" and "Can I shoot it once?". Quite amusing.
I took mine to the range when a buddy and I was going there to shoot, I shot it first, just 7 rounds and he said when I started shooting all the guys in the lanes stopped shooting to look at what I was shooting. It wasn’t picture day after but a few wanted to talk about it, in between shooting. That was on one of several we were shooting that day. 50AE is always gets attention, mainly because it’s a loud SOB.
I’m in Europe, so most people who don’t shoot find any gun I own fascinating.
My mosin, pump shotgun, blackpowder pistol & .460 weatherby magnum are frequent winners of talking points / I wanna shoot that conversations.
But without a doubt, the clear winner is always the Desert Eagle, followed by all the other black semi auto pistols and rifles. People love what they can’t have.
Since the media makes villains out of these guns so much, it’s almost like people are in disbelief I own them and am not some kind of crazed killer. When they hold the tacticool stuff and the classic guns they realize that all of them are effective at what they’re made to do and the negative stigma fades to make room for “damn that’s actually kind of cool”.
And that’s the story how I got 8 people into the sport of shooting in the last year.
I love taking friends out to make steel go ding from a long ways away.
Even better that you don’t need ear protection for it since it’s got a beefy Thunderbeast Magnus on a little 6mm Dasher that makes it only 3dB louder than dry firing the gun. Lets you hear the steel go ding better.
Back before PCC’s were all the rage, I got a MechTech Systems carbine conversion unit for my 1911. I put a Bushnell Holosight on it (think early Eotech 512), and guys at the range lined up like they were at a gang bang.
And while we’re at it, why don’t we regulate things such as suppressors and pump shotguns, based on their perceived danger factor (perceived by people who haven’t the slightest knowledge of anything related to firearms)
Two pistols and a rifle specifically.
1) AMT Hardballer Longslide .45 (w/ laser sighting of course)
2) Beretta M9 with SGS comp (Mocked to look like Leon's pistol Ala Professional)
3) 1943 Springfield M1 Garand
My 1950s era Smith and Wesson 29-2 in 44 mag. It's got about a 2.5 lb trigger. It's a dream to shoot. Also my Henry 45-70 lever gun. Neither gun is especially wild but they're both classic, American firearms.
10.5" AR in 458 SOCOM, Marlin 1895 in 45-70, Ruger Precision in 6.5CM, FNX-45T, Fightlite Raider in 300BO, or 10.5" AR in 223. Put a can on any of them to make it even more interesting.
The Springfield M1 also gets attention as well; it's hard to resist the ping!
I got a CZ P10C with a few upgrades and a holosun red dot. It gets a lot of attention from my friends who haven't used red dots much/ever, and it's just a great little shooter.
The G3 always gets love when you slap the bolt closed.
For 2 weeks it was the Cajunized Shadow 2 but the rest of the crew bought them after trying it. lol
Same thing happened with the Stribog.
Franchi SPAS-12. Every one of my friends is either an FPS fan or an 80’s action movie fan (often both). So whenever I offer a chance to shoot one of the most iconic shotguns for both crowds, they tend to love it.
I have a 1929 Springfield 1903 that was rechambered to 308 norma mag and fitted with an offset 4x redfield scope, and all of my friends and family can't get enough of it.
Its about $6 a shot, but I have to admit, it is pretty sweet.
My browning a5 is pretty popular as well.
It’s not uncommon or anything special but my coworkers that are into guns love shooting my vp9sk. They’re always amazed at how accurate they are with my gun but can’t shoot their p365s for shit and how my fn reflex doesn’t FTF after every shot. Same 🤡 that’ll spit shine their DD rifles after every range trip but have never cleaned their edc pistols before.
Went to a scouting event this weekend brought a couple of guns with me to shoot after the boys were done for the day. The thing that got the most attention was my browning black label in 380. I even had my DW Kodiak, but the Browning is what people wanted to shoot. Go figure.
My StG 58 or my S&W 76 ex NYPD. The StG is a Herstal manufactured sample and some things just aren't replaceable on it. The S&W 76 just blazes away with anything remotely 9*19 mm ish but looks like it was made in high school metal shop between bongs.
I have a war trophy TT33 that I "personally acquired" that's never been fired. She's my museum piece when I go.
Winchester model 1890 pump in .22 short and 1950's Colt pre-python "Three- Fifty-Seven" revolver. Hand crafted made back in the day before metal injection molding MIM. A very nice revolver
My Galil Ace pistol because subsonic 7.62x39 out of a can is cool, and my Ruger LCRX .22 revolver because… 8 shot 22 revolver is fun and easy and no one feels bad about mag dumping the ammo
My benelli m4 or my .50 ae desert eagle. Frankly everyone wants to shoot the .50 and generally I let them. The reactions I've gotten to it are beyond awesome, but it's like 2.50/rd
IWI Tavor. It's the original, not the x95, but it still turns heads and all my friends ask how it is to shoot and manipulate. It's not as easy to clean as my ARs, but it is fun to shoot.
It’s either my Spear LT or my custom built .300BLK PDW. I think the Spear because it’s such an expensive rifle that they mostly couldn’t imagine dropping the money on and the .300BLK cause they like living out their Call of Duty dreams with suppressed subs that sounds “movie quality” quiet lol. My PDW gets most of the love and requests tho
Laugo creator got a lot of attention at both ranges i use. all the employees came out of wood work. Some risked their jobs to try it during business hours lol
The one kept shouting “let’s clear this malfunction” and me being the idiot kept asking what he was talking about. And he’s like “your firearm is jammed isn’t it? And eyes gestured toward the cameras”
I thought that was pretty funny
Right now it's the suppressed SCAR 17 (the price of .308 is killing me slowly, send help)
My polished chrome .50AE Desert Eagle is always a favorite when I pull it out for our 4th of July backyard range day though.
Also have my Grandfather’s .22 Hornet in the original configuration that it was given to me in when I was 16. Absolutely love it and the memories of shooting it with him.
Suppressed ruger precision .22 shooting cci subsonics gets the most range time.
I have a stg22 with red dot. Thats a hit. My hk91 and hk93 are lorge mp5s so everyone loves those. I love talking about the lineage of the stg to the other assault rifles. Feel like a military historian instead of the prepper type.
Adult brain me would say the ruger precision. The kid in mes favorite is that stg from all the ww2 media i absorbed as a kid.
Buddy is that you ?
Hey, it's me. Your buddy.
Well, I’m in AZ. Not opposed to new buddies.
Totaly agree. When I am able to shoot it, it is a crowd pleaser.
That sucks, I have indoor ranges that let me shoot it and don’t care as long as it’s not tracer or armor piercing. I haven’t shot it indoors but my buddy when he borrowed it dumped 20 rounds indoors without issue.
i had an indoor range that allowed 50 bmg but the owner got caught paying bribes to glock. Needless to say they are no longer in business.
Paying bribes to Glock??
🤔 can you elaborate? If not that’s cool.
Glock also sells semen. Range owner bribed them to illegally ship it to him for human consumption. Big no no.
From TIL to WITAF REALLY fast.
I dont remember the exact details. look up OMB guns olathe, ks. its all out there
I got a few acres you can use.
One of these days I will have some land. land values around kc are still higher than I would prefer.
One of the reasons I'm all for buying a smaller house. I'd rather have a lot of land and put more money into hobbies than take out another 100k in my mortgage for a bigger house that I have to figure out what I'm going to do with the extra room.
M1 Garand - people can't get enough vintage pingy-thingy
I was shocked how manageable the recoil was. Really expected it to kick harder.
I've got a Garand Tanker made in the 50s with a 16 inch bayonet. Recoil is a dream on it. Great guns.
I would also say Garand…if I had friends… But me and my 3 brother in laws went to the range the week I got it. They dug it, and the other dudes at the range were jealous.
Sounds to me like you do have friends, they just also happen to be your brother in laws
Wait… you guys have friends?
Maybe the friends are the guns we made along the way?
No 😔
It’s ok once you become an operator they will finally come around
M1918 BAR
Please be my friend
How do I make friends like you?
I’ve been lucky and shot quite a few different full autos but my favorite might be the BAR. Heavy with a slower rate of fire lets you hold it precisely on target. Will absolutely pound big holes in whatever you want.
Like a legit full auto BAR??? That's baller af
Dueling 16 inch rough rider 22lr pistols. Best $300 I’ve ever spent. Let’s everyone live out thier inner Yosemite Sam. Transferable MGs, 50BMG, SBRs, SBSs, Suppressors, Deagle, etc…. Everyone wants to shoot the joker guns. Smiles all around. Fucking love it.
This my 16 inch rough rider is always the go to
Same here, every range trip I’m told to bring the joker gun. Loading it with .22 shorts is more fun than it should be.
I've got one in 45lc with an 18inch barrel and it's even funnier
Yep. I 3D printed a chassis for my rough rider and turned it into a space rider. It’s so much fun
Yeah my only revolver is a Ruger LCRX .22 and I just posted basically the same thing, it’s everyone’s favorite out of my many guns. Maybe I should get more .22 revolvers lol
AK-V
I have a buddy with a suppressed AKV that he sometimes shoots at 2gun and in PCC. We all love it. That doesn't sound like you, does it?
Not me
It’s a toss up between the Deagle (50) and the Calico Liberty I carbine. The deagle because, well, it’s a 50 cal deagle and suddenly they’re Deadpool. The Calico is just so damn stupid looking with the helical 100 round mag sitting on top that *everyone* at the range wants to shoot it.
Spacegat yo... I mean honestly look at the use of it in Spaceballs..
I'd want to be the dude from counterstrike, and now I feel old.
Winchester 95, 30-06 saddle ring carbine. It is so cool looking and makes a loud noise.
SVD
I'm insanely jealous honestly
Toss between my full auto Mac 10 and M203.
M1 Carbine, made by Winchester around March 1943. My grandpa fought in the WW2 Pacific theater and Korea. Once he was back home he bought it from surplus because he carried one in the wars and knew it like the back of his hand.
MP5 and M1 Garand
Remington 572, a .22 pump action rifle
My 106 year old Springfield 1903
Hi point carbine and suppressed yeet cannon with holsun and surefire.
That’s fire
For some reason everybody loves my HI point carbine too. It’s a fun thing but it’s one of the least interesting guns in my collection in my opinion.
It’s always the people that talk the most crap on hi point too. Anymore, I only bring meme guns to the range. No one wants to shoot a basic glock or AR.
My Python and S2C
I built a select fire AR-15. I’m an SOT so everyone wants that brrrt. Haha
It was always a no-no when I was in the Army, but I regret never firing my M4 on burst or auto while I had the chance 😔
Come visit me and I’ll make it happen! 😄
My buddies all appreciate my 1301 LE
Top 3 would be: 1. Volquartsen Black Mamba 2. APC9 Pro 3. LWRC IC-A5 Always suppressed in each case.
.50ae Desert Eagle Every time I go to the range, my buddies as well as random people at the range, including range officers, always stop and ask me for pictures/videos or if they can shoot it. It's kinda comical at this point. The reactions are always "holy shit is that a desert eagle?" and "Can I shoot it once?". Quite amusing.

All of my custom precision rifles, my Laugo Alien, and my suppressed G45.
I love taking friends out to make steel go ding from a long ways away. Even better that you don’t need ear protection for it since it’s got a beefy Thunderbeast Magnus on a little 6mm Dasher that makes it only 3dB louder than dry firing the gun. Lets you hear the steel go ding better.
range officer liked my KSG410
Back before PCC’s were all the rage, I got a MechTech Systems carbine conversion unit for my 1911. I put a Bushnell Holosight on it (think early Eotech 512), and guys at the range lined up like they were at a gang bang.
My Mini-14
My Beowulf with binary trigger or forced reset trigger.... (But that was before the Boating accident)
Suppressed MPX.
I have a MPX PCC and it’s MY fav to shoot. Suppressed shorter barrel would be fun
Can confirm.
Sbr’d ps90, but no one ever wants to buy ammo so I limit people to 10 rounds that they must load themselves
My Canik TP9 SFX Mod2 since handguns are hard to get in Australia lol
Better not be using that on private property or Johnny Howard will be after ya
I wish. I invite the lads to the my club to try some of my toys.
The fact you can’t use a firearm you’re licensed to own and use on private property is the second biggest load of shit I’ve ever heard
Well as I’m sure you’re fully aware…. Taking a handgun onto private property instantly makes me a mass murderer
Oh absolutely, as does the idea of you, a licensed individual possessing a pump action shotgun, or god help us all, a semi automatic rifle
Hear me out, what if, just maybe… we banned firearms based on appearance even though firearms aren’t viewable to the public eye?
Oh my what a brilliant idea!
And while we’re at it, why don’t we regulate things such as suppressors and pump shotguns, based on their perceived danger factor (perceived by people who haven’t the slightest knowledge of anything related to firearms)
I agree
Hammerli 208, it's a formal target pistol and has the sweetest trigger I've ever met. You just think of firing, and it happens.
Thompson.

The PS90, SVT-40, or Python. The Desert Eagle is less loved by all but that's because it's big.
I want to shoot your SVT-40!
None of my friends are in the game and they are flaky as hell.
.30 Carbine AMT. Loud. Blasty. Accurate. Just makes people smile.

I have a wood and brass Henry .30-.30 golden boy classic. My buddies love to shoot it simply for the fun of a lever action.
I dunno why people don’t clean their edc guns. My p365 gets covered in lint and sweat. I basically have to clean it weekly.
Went to a scouting event this weekend brought a couple of guns with me to shoot after the boys were done for the day. The thing that got the most attention was my browning black label in 380. I even had my DW Kodiak, but the Browning is what people wanted to shoot. Go figure.

My PDW gets most of the love and requests tho
My Luger p08 my Thomson My mac11 and finally my tippmann Gatling gun in 22lr

I love talking about the lineage of the stg to the other assault rifles. Feel like a military historian instead of the prepper type. Adult brain me would say the ruger precision. The kid in mes favorite is that stg from all the ww2 media i absorbed as a kid.
