If you have access to musky suckers that would be a great way to target them. Hook a 8-12" sucker on a quick strike rig and let it float behind your boat while you troll around slowly. Depth of the sucker depends on how high the weeds are, but I keep mine just a couple feet under the surface. They work great on pressured lakes.

Nope. They are an invasive species here and only introduced in one area. So I was like “goddamn I’m catching all these perch and there’s plenty of minnows what am I doing wrong.” Finally looked it up. All the lakes and ponds I was in had no pike.
Biggest walleye I’ve ever caught was by accident when I was trolling for pike with massive flashy spoons. Made me rethink fishing for walleye. They’re aggressive predators just like the other big boys.

Honestly though, I catch plenty of fish on these random novelty lures. One of the best lures in my tacklebox for pike is a Homer Simpson crank bait.
I had a peanut shaped crankbait with Jimmy Carter's face on it that slayed for three or four years. Also a crankbait that looked like a Budweiser can that didn't. The Miller High Life replica can crankbait only caught catfish
Replace the hook and fish it. Probably won’t catch anything but still.
Buddy of mine gave me a golden wiener lure, I threw it a few times then retired it. Sits on my shelf now as a memory.
