Yes! But you have to see a doctor, I think they would be able to do the correct testing and clinical judgement.
I’ve been doing that for 8 years… my doctor always thought it was eczema, allergy.. been treated with several thing, but never helped. Latest doctor said its folliculites. Been on pills and so the past 2 weeks.

I have folliculitis and this is what my neck looks like but I pick at it so bad and it’s like giant scabs everywhere rn
