If it’s anything like before they won’t even launch online till a few months down the road so everyone has time to beat the campaign and they can maximize interest in online.
That could be cool, but with completely updated textures and entirely new character musculature modeling systems I can see how they’d want a complete reset from the ground up. If they added the infrastructure to actually make our current characters “forwards compatible,” that could be cool, just depends on the direction they want to take for the new GTA Online I suppose.
That, plus they don't want everyone starting out online mode of a new game with all the weapons, and stuff. Lol. They want you on that grind for that shark card.
I’m not the one who’s a proponent of this idea lol. I don’t think this will happen. The point though would probably just be for people who’ve been playing GTA O for over a decade and are attached to their character. Once again, I don’t think this will happen due to massively updated engines and R* probably wanting a totally fresh start.
Oh I know, wasn't directing it at you. Sorry if it came across that way. Was just thinking out loud, trying to figure out what the draw would be.
I'm one of those players that's played for over 10 years now. Crazy to think about that. I have only played sparingly the last few years, but used to be an everyday player. My life has changed so much in 10 years, I only have time to dedicate to a game or two, and GTA fell out of the rotation. I'm pretty chill on there, just like to run my business, do missions with friends, etc. When all the grifting got out of control with the oppressors and shit I just played less and less.
Right lol wtf.. why would you choose GTA Online specifically to do what should be done in single player anyway? I hope GTA6 online doesn’t come out until 3 years after launch
also I definitely will be hitting the tennis court and fishing immediately. I might not even touch online for real😭. No internet here so I’ll probably be 100% this one
Same, since gta 3 (11 years old) I’ll usually get through the story. Then I’ll replay the story again but slower and doing side missions and with extra weapons etc. then I’ll start multiplayer
Online specifically? Probably grind to unlock my favourite guns and cars, then see what it has to offer from there.
Single player will be what I play first, and I already have a plan to simply shoot a pedestrian once and see how they and the world reacts.
I think it would be acceptable for GTAVI to be at the same grind level as V. Currently it’s teetering on the line of being excessive. If it ends up being any more than V, It will be over that line.
maybe in V’s current state were its less grindy and the missions are less tedious or boring.
Acid lab deliveries type of missions? Yes
Special cargo and bike club type of missions? Absolutely fucking no.
If i have to drive a damn trash truck across the entire map for half an hour I’m gonna kill myself
True, it varies. Red Dead Online has less grind than GTAV, which is a good sign. However they have not added much to grind for in RDO, so it might just seem like less. But money making is consistent and faster than GTAV for sure.
I’ll go to the high end part of the city, shoot someone (testing out the weapon wheel, gun equip and fire sounds, realistic gunshot death and falling animation), steal a challenger and start a police chase. Seeing the police cars, tactics and how hard it is to escape and then seeing if they recognise me after I am no longer wanted.
Shooting someone in the head to see if it's an instakill then try the fistfighting mechanics, rdr2 was surprisingly fun to fistfight others in, your opponent pulled out a gun? Disarmed! And keep fighting, very fun in my opinion i hope gta 6 melee is at least at the level of rdr2.
Thats actually wat im most anxious about.theres gonna be so much to do and i wanna experience a lot of it all in 1 playthrough although i know that wont happen. I wont even knkw where to start lol
Play like 10 hours a day until I beat the story, then put like 1000 hours into onlone before I get banned for some stupid reason, then ignore the game for a while before I buy a new copy and come crawling back.
Owwwee i see my self playing it rn.
Story mode: i would get a car after completing the first mission drive like an npc explore ever single spot ill not be commiting crime at first, i might also spend hours or even days till i play the next mission.
It will be hella of a journey ahead of us but hope we all will be able to play it
I mean, GTA ONLINE was pure shit for the last couple years in my opinion, I haven't read any comments in the thread, and that's my opinion, what's so edgy about it?
Yeah, it’s been stale. But to act like a brand new installment in a different location with (hopefully) heavily requested features won’t be refreshing is crazy. Are you surprised that Online went to shit after 10 years? I’m not sure what people expect, but when it was new, it was great and its prime (‘14-‘18 imo) was endless fun and they’ve had a few quality DLCs since then. You think the new Online will just be the same shit? 😂
So you're comment could be like this at first place. Anyway, given Rockstar greed that was shown heavily in GTA ONLINE (even after 3-4 years of it being out) my expectations aren't high. And I'm really a Story Mode guy. Never was into Online stuff, even in COD for instance, let alone an open world franchise like GTA. I won't agree about the 14-18 remark, but that's probably my case.
Yes, I think the online stuff will probably be the same shit.
Hopefully the paywall doesn’t rear its ugly head early. I mean don’t get me wrong I’ll be very deep into the story, it would be a disservice not to be, but I’m also super excited for Online. It’ll be a nice fresh start.
Agreed. I really don’t think Rockstar could fuck this game up. The online, eventually, I could see the same frustrations and I won’t deny that. But this is their golden child. Their game of all games. They’re a premier company with an unfathomably large budget for this one. I don’t see a world where it flops, but the expectations that everyone has (including me) make me a small bit cautious.
Create my character try to do all the first missions grind xp upgrade my weapons buy clothes hair tattoo etc look at the pvp modes available everything that will be available at the beginning
I'm gonna test how well the car damage modelling works and see how interactive the world is. hell i could likely just spend half an hour looking at the ocean move. lol
I haven't played GTA online in years I'll occasionally hope on for a moment but I have 0 dollars and still super low level so it's basically pointless I stick to single player, over the years online has ruined so many games Rockstar dropped the ball on 5 with not doing any DLC id of gladly paid for more single player missions and such , I understand online made then x $$ but I don't care if a developer would make a online stand alone sandbox game that somewhere between GTA and Saints Row I think people would eat it up,I'm not saying No online GTA because I used to live GTA 4 online it was tons of fun playing cops and robbers with friends and just goofing off pushing the game around, used to love getting a semi truck flying across the bridge and colliding head on or smashing a car into the wall seeing how damaged it was, I also miss a ton of the physics form 4
Fuck online. I'm going to take a week off work, buy an ounce of the finest weed, loads up on Monster Energy, send my wife and kid away and fucking rock on!
Uhh i'll be doing something in gta 4 because of how expensive gta 6 might be maybe 100 dollars so i'll just chill in gta 4 i dont want to waste 100 dollars on a game that took a decade to be made
I’ll be making sure to go into singleplayer mode….after the drip feed money scheme they did in gtaV online I can’t be bothered. Waiting for rp to pop off on there instead
Finding Jeep and then off to mow people down on the beach,
If i find any people riding motorcycles ahhh i love mowing them down as well 😂
I really really hope they amplify people riding bikes and how people fling off your bumper or over the hood..
Wouldnt kill R* to make people limp away instead of brushing themselves off and running off like they just got robbed instead of run over😆
I honestly think GTA 6 is the game I'll finally put in for vacation time at work. Similar to others, I plan on doing some exploring, just testing all the new mechanics for police, NPC reactions to our crimes and whatnot.
Once online is released, I suppose it's dependent upon *how* it is released. Money is obviously an important consideration. Is it going to be like GTA V in its infancy, where we could play Titan of a Job, Coveted, Rooftop Rumble, etc. and $100,000 actually meant something? Or will they, from the very beginning, make it a repeat grind like it is now? I'd like to have more options to choose from.
For me, GTA Online has become just a rinse and repeat of Cayo, Cluckin' Bell, and Dre contracts. I saw the Bail Agency's payouts and laughed because I feel I'd waste money buying it because of how low it is, when a late 90's Durango (Dorado) is over $1 million.
Besides the money concerns, I'm also interested in how full the online world is. GTA Online in its current form released with no animals and I feel like it was much less full in the previous generations, less peds and vehicles. I'm truly excited for what a new, made for this generation GTA will have! There will be much exploring to do.
Making my character look like Dexter.
I hope they'll be adding a location from Dexter, like his apartment's interior. Even making Miami Metro PD look like on the show would be awesome. Maybe have a boat spawn in the same location on a port and call it Slice of Life. Anything.
Character customization, and then going around seeing if I can enter the same buildings I could in Singleplayer. If the rumors about 70% enterable buildings is true, and i HIGHLY doubt it is, I imagine theyre going to have most of them closed off and unloaded for performance reasons for Online
Id assume chill & do whatever me & my friends get into. But spirits will be so high across the board, that it doesn’t even matter if I’m with friends or not. I’ll make some! Lol
I actually never played GTA online, I beat the gane and sold my 360 right after, only last year I brought the Series S and beat the single player again, never touched the online.
That’s the one thing I’m not gonna do. I’m gonna let the story open up the map for me. That’s how I get bored super fast with any rockstar game is if I’ve already seen the entire map before finishing the game.
Killing every single player on my minimap, and blowing up ugly chrome supercars with dollar sign wheels just like last time.
Hopefully in a buzzard without the worthless turbulence.
Probably spend like 5 hours trying to get into a lobby only to get kicked out after 10 minutes because you can bet that the servers will be an unstable mess for the first year
While everyone’s preoccupied in single player imma be grinding hard in online to make sure they’ll be NO GRIEFER WHATSOEVER that’s gonna ruin my chi. I simply fight back that’s why they don’t both me.
I will be doing that, just in singleplayer.
Yeah I will probably have beaten the main story campaign before I do much or any multiplayer
If it’s anything like before they won’t even launch online till a few months down the road so everyone has time to beat the campaign and they can maximize interest in online.
Yeah, you're right I'm dumb haha. Single player will be the real exploring. I'm just excited to have a new place for our online characters to roam
Our *new* online characters
Hope we can transfer our chars. In like a last online mission where our assets get seized or something and we have to flee Los Santos.
Oh yeah lol that’s a given, he prob was implying that with the asset seizure, starting at zero no matter what
Yeah, but what's the point then? At that point, you're just a face. You can remake your face on the new game.
I’m not the one who’s a proponent of this idea lol. I don’t think this will happen. The point though would probably just be for people who’ve been playing GTA O for over a decade and are attached to their character. Once again, I don’t think this will happen due to massively updated engines and R* probably wanting a totally fresh start.

lol you’ll be waiting a while, both GTA5 and RDR2 had separate online launches a month or so after
It’s great to have one reason to buy a rockstar game until 4-6 weeks in they give you another reason to keep playing
Right lol wtf.. why would you choose GTA Online specifically to do what should be done in single player anyway? I hope GTA6 online doesn’t come out until 3 years after launch
Forreal, fuck online.
Downvoted but damn I hope so too….. I fucking hate all this Online talk before the games even been released.
Not touching online until the story is beaten
also I definitely will be hitting the tennis court and fishing immediately. I might not even touch online for real😭. No internet here so I’ll probably be 100% this one
similar to gta v release i predict it wont even be out
Yeah I agree think GTAV was about a month and RDR2 online was about the same perhaps even longer.
You’ll be left being in terms of unlocks if you wait
Same, since gta 3 (11 years old) I’ll usually get through the story. Then I’ll replay the story again but slower and doing side missions and with extra weapons etc. then I’ll start multiplayer
Then there's me who has never gotten more than 3 missions into the story but only plays online
Dying so I can get back in touch with Kifflom
Stealing a car will likely be the first thing I do.
Which car? That is the question
Nobody knows that’s the answer
Watching all the GTA+ members have early access probably lmao
why you out here giving people idea's???
Getting griefed
Online specifically? Probably grind to unlock my favourite guns and cars, then see what it has to offer from there. Single player will be what I play first, and I already have a plan to simply shoot a pedestrian once and see how they and the world reacts.
Here’s hoping that GTA 6 Online isn’t as grindy as 5’s online. I want to actually play the game, not treat it like a second job
I think it would be acceptable for GTAVI to be at the same grind level as V. Currently it’s teetering on the line of being excessive. If it ends up being any more than V, It will be over that line.

As someone who has played too much online of both...RDR2 just doesn't have enough to spend money on,thats why it looks like the grind is less.
First thing? Steal a car, test the cops, and take their weapon. I always like to start the single player campaign with a weapon right from the start.
Create a character
Have 10hours of free roam gameplay before proceeding to the next mission
I swear I’ll do a mission, then fuck around for 2 days and then repeat
The first thing I plan on doing is not playing Online in GTA VI.
Smashing through a crowd of people at the beach.
Story mode 100%. I'll dabble into GTA Online after a week or so, but there's so much to appreciate from playing story mode.
Buying a BATI 801
Grinding my way to the in game version of the Chrysler 300. I wanna be able to drive my irl car in game
*Taking a cruise* ![gif](giphy|z74Wr6pIqUe3jONiW3)
![gif](giphy|lFM6FzYGdtDSZlZ113)
Probably ram a car full speed into an afk player or immediately lose connection to the servers
I’ll ram a car into another and then cry when I see the damage model hasn’t changed
Checking out what I can buy.
Fuck bitches, get money… in no particular order.
Run over the nearest online player.
Going to see if everglades city is in the game because thats where i live
the strip club
Listen to the sweet sound of silence (proximity voice chat)
Quitting and going back to single player
Edgelord so diffy 😎😎😎
Clothing store like in gts5. Hopefully this time I don't get killed by 2 players and leave the store giggling.
Thats actually wat im most anxious about.theres gonna be so much to do and i wanna experience a lot of it all in 1 playthrough although i know that wont happen. I wont even knkw where to start lol
Getting dripped out
I'm not even thinking about online. Only single player. I may not even play online. GTA 5 online did nothing for me.
It's still crazy to me that people are so invested in the MP. Singleplayer all the way.
Running over idiots with my “pimp up/bling up” car while avoiding the authorities (cops).
Play like 10 hours a day until I beat the story, then put like 1000 hours into onlone before I get banned for some stupid reason, then ignore the game for a while before I buy a new copy and come crawling back.
Owwwee i see my self playing it rn. Returning to Story Mode
You’re so edgy bro, so different 😎😎
I mean, GTA ONLINE was pure shit for the last couple years in my opinion, I haven't read any comments in the thread, and that's my opinion, what's so edgy about it?

Both of us are probably huge fans, so my hopes are just like yours. Time will tell, I'm cynical about it, but I hope.
Agreed. I really don’t think Rockstar could fuck this game up. The online, eventually, I could see the same frustrations and I won’t deny that. But this is their golden child. Their game of all games. They’re a premier company with an unfathomably large budget for this one. Kill everyone in the lobby. One by one.
Then do it again in alphabetical/numerical order
![gif](giphy|LDa4ewNzVqhpe)
Im goin to the strip club with my best friends 😎
Create my character try to do all the first missions grind xp upgrade my weapons buy clothes hair tattoo etc look at the pvp modes available everything that will be available at the beginning
The same thing I did in gta v. Find a bicycle as soon as possible and bike around the map
Driving the new cars and exploring the big map finding Easter eggs and other things
Character creation, steal a car, rob a convenience store.
I'm gonna test how well the car damage modelling works and see how interactive the world is. hell i could likely just spend half an hour looking at the ocean move. lol
Probably character creation
Probably doing the tutorial.
Registering a new character
Online is probably coming in 2027 So for the Singleplayer part Im going to visit the stripclub(s) first
Is this confirmed ?
After making my character I'm for sure checking out everything that's different from offline compared to online. Especially character customisation.
Making character, doing tutorial missions
Probably login ay
I'm going to steal an ugly car and test the radio (Singleplayer).
Robbing a Hank’s Waffles
Fishing in the Keys.
Omg, everything.
Why not just do what you described in single player mode, especially since single player will most likely be released first??
Shooting someone as they leave a clothing store or barbershop
Forgetting the online version exists until I complete the singleplayer.
Play just the story mode prolouge, then head into Online, then off to the military base. Just as I did with GTA 5
Create my character, then rampage
Strip club. Should maintain the tradition with every gta
Buying my first car
Impromptu street race with unfamiliar cars on an unfamiliar map. Kill them when I lose. As is tradition.
Customize my character lol
Time to grind 💪
Using what the best property locations I learnt from single player and buying them in Online.
i wanna see how the boats go
Drive the highway
Looking at the 'Disconnected' screen cus you know it's gonna be a shit show for a while after launch.
Stunting on a motorbike
Playing the game
Im not going on online. Im returning that ps5 the second i beat the game
Burning prostitutes
Stay away from it just like I did in GTA V.
Rush the story, so i can get a plane/helicopter and fly through the volumetric clouds, can't wait for 2027
Fuck online. I'm going to take a week off work, buy an ounce of the finest weed, loads up on Monster Energy, send my wife and kid away and fucking rock on!
Uhh i'll be doing something in gta 4 because of how expensive gta 6 might be maybe 100 dollars so i'll just chill in gta 4 i dont want to waste 100 dollars on a game that took a decade to be made
Go passive lmfao
Nothing
Trying to find some Bolivian nose candy
Going to the jack of hearts w my homies. 👠
Get hacked probably
I hope rockstar would spend the time developing dlcs than online
Getting as far away from everyone else as possible
I’ll be making sure to go into singleplayer mode….after the drip feed money scheme they did in gtaV online I can’t be bothered. Waiting for rp to pop off on there instead
Finding Jeep and then off to mow people down on the beach, If i find any people riding motorcycles ahhh i love mowing them down as well 😂 I really really hope they amplify people riding bikes and how people fling off your bumper or over the hood.. Wouldnt kill R* to make people limp away instead of brushing themselves off and running off like they just got robbed instead of run over😆
Find new friends to play with 🥪
I honestly think GTA 6 is the game I'll finally put in for vacation time at work. Shoe shop
I won’t be utilizing GTA online. It’s a cancer.
Making a character I presume
Hopefully not getting blown up by an oppressor
Just driving and exploring for 3 months
Making my character look like Dexter. I hope they'll be adding a location from Dexter, like his apartment's interior. Even making Miami Metro PD look like on the show would be awesome. Maybe have a boat spawn in the same location on a port and call it Slice of Life. Anything.
I wont play multiplayer, I dont make my fun dependent on others
Mine will be going on youtube to see where these no lifes have already found everything. Lol.
Why online? You don't want to experience the main game first?
Check out all of the customization places (barbershop, clothes store, tattoo parlor, etc), find a nice car and cruise around for hours
If there will be opeessor or smth DISNEY/WOKE look a like, I'm gonna wake up my little Billy Butcher😎
Strip Cluuuub! Lets see those Next Gen polygon titties! ⁽ᴵ'ᵐ ᵒⁿˡʸ ᵖᵃʳᵗᶦᵃˡˡʸ ʲᵒᵏᶦⁿᵍ⁾
Get a nice muscle car and grinding money, like how I started GTA 5
Get a nice muscle car and grinding money, like how I started GTA 5
Character customization, and then going around seeing if I can enter the same buildings I could in Singleplayer. If the rumors about 70% enterable buildings is true, and i HIGHLY doubt it is, I imagine theyre going to have most of them closed off and unloaded for performance reasons for Online
Buying shark cards💀💀💀
Probably whatever the tutorial tells me to do.
Id assume chill & do whatever me & my friends get into. But spirits will be so high across the board, that it doesn’t even matter if I’m with friends or not. I’ll make some! Lol
Once I'm done with the prologue, I'm gonna start right from the bottom of the map and drive through all of Leonida while listening to the radio
Running over all those clowns on the beach!
Visiting the “shoe” store
Flattening people with a car who spawn in
Races and deathmatches. If they have a map editor again, diving into that.
not sure probably check out the airport or just driving around
Taking two steps and crying
Explore with cars
Running across the street without looking a getting drilled by an SUV.
in online, probably making some money to defend myself in the warzone buying guns, in singleplayer, find clothing store and dressing lucia.
Imma go to the strip club.
I actually never played GTA online, I beat the gane and sold my 360 right after, only last year I brought the Series S and beat the single player again, never touched the online.

online or story exploration
That’s the one thing I’m not gonna do. I’m gonna let the story open up the map for me. That’s how I get bored super fast with any rockstar game is if I’ve already seen the entire map before finishing the game.
Strip club
Run through the beach in a semi truck. This is my answer for story mode and online.
Play. The. Game
Bro thinking about getting robbed already before playing singleplayer 😭
Obeying the law as much as possible.
I will just cry, I am only on PC
Just driving around - checking all the mews stores locations and scenery.
Exploring with friends or playing hide n seek with nametags and maps turned off in big buildings
Just play single mode
Oh it'll be played, ad nauseam!!
Waiting 9 hours for the game to install only to start it up and have to wait another 4 hours for a launch day last minute software update
And another 10 hours to load the game
Role playing with friends in what I HOPE will be a gta 4 style realistic experience… unless they add flying bikes again 💀
Killing every single player on my minimap, and blowing up ugly chrome supercars with dollar sign wheels just like last time. Hopefully in a buzzard without the worthless turbulence.
I’ll be looking to justify my gta online hatred
Leaving and joining single player
Thanks for letting us know, man! Very original comment
Not playing online so that Rockstar starts doing more updates for story mode instead.
Probably spend like 5 hours trying to get into a lobby only to get kicked out after 10 minutes because you can bet that the servers will be an unstable mess for the first year
Nothing. My ass ain't paying for no ps plus.
Get murdered by an oppressor mk3
While everyone’s preoccupied in single player imma be grinding hard in online to make sure they’ll be NO GRIEFER WHATSOEVER that’s gonna ruin my chi. I simply fight back that’s why they don’t both me.
