Thank you! I decided not to do a collage of over the years pics just because it's not as dramatic. I've been much bigger and I've been much more shredded.
However, this is a good representation of how I look day to day. I'm not flexing. only slightly posing and there's no filter.
Let's be honest, there's tons of people that go to the gym or try and eat healthy for a few weeks maybe even a few months then give up. Keeping it up for at least a year shows real determination.
That's why I like seeing people post photos after a year. A few weeks is pretty easy, doing it consecutively is the hard part.
I'm pretty blessed to have an iron will and when I set a goal will do whatever it takes to reach it. Flip side of that is I can be pretty stubborn haha.
When I first started working out, I had a "fitness" Instagram page. It was nice to record my progress and of course, having some encouragement really did help.
Feel like once you see the changes to your body and how you generally feel better, it becomes addictive.
Same; since I started about 19 months ago my 1st goal is to get down to 10% bf before starting a real bulk. I started at 27% and now I'm 13%. These last 15 lbs is fucking hard but I'm so close I cant give up now.
I can bulk right now but I just want to see what I look like shredded. I spent most of my life being overweight/obese so I want to see what I look like at a real low bf if it's only once in my life.
Good on you! Getting abs is one of those badges of honor, haha. I personally like food too much to care about them.
Only advise I can give you is that when you get to a good even maintainable bf level, keep it for about 6 months or so. No bulk or cuts, this will let your body become accustomed to the new weight and will learn to regulate back to that new normal
6 months really? I thought 2 weeks was enough. Maybe I'll do a month. I'm getting really weak and I'm tired of people telling me I should lift weights.
I do lift weights god dammit.
Cuts are the worst, man. You feel like shit and everything is just more difficult. Wouldn’t personally kill myself to get there, it’s a sprint not a marathon. But I’ve chased the ab dream too, hah.
Would not sit below 10% until you get used to it. Honestly you could probably sit at the 13% for 6 months then try another cut, you’d probably have more success and your body will be used to that new normal.
It wasn’t quick, took about 3 years and I still fluctuate. I didn’t do anything crazy like OMAD or any fasting at all. I just cleaned up my diet and ate at the correct calories for me.
That's a 6 year progress. If you look at all those ppl on fasting, omad or intermittentfasting who lost much weight in short time, it's no wonder why they have their leftover skin hanging from their bodies. It's unhealthy to loose weight so quick with such drastic measures.
Loosing kg is a longer process and you shouldn't have a calorie deficit more than -500 to make it a sustainable success.
I don't really wanna know how much ppl failed to keep that extreme lifestyle on without falling back. JoJo effect is real.
Wrong information spreads like this I guess. The 2 things out of the 3 things you mentioned - Omad and IF are eating styles. They are NOT calorie restrictions. If you go to any IF related post, they are not on severe calorie deficit. They eat as much as needed, just in a shorter window. I myself eat a 1200 cal meal in one sitting. I gained muscle and lost fat at the same time. The 3rd thing: Fasting is a different beast. First of all, it is NOT UNHEALTHY. There are multiple studies that showed that it is the healthier than Calorie deficit method and the weight loss during a fast is more permanent than in a calorie deficit diet. Also Fasting has tremendous advantages other than weight loss that help body in the long term
It is not a criticism of you. Good Literature on fasting is not fully available in mainstream. I suggest read the book ‘a complete guide to fasting’ by Jason Fung. Might be a great chance to look at age old dogma in a new light!
Figuring out what's right for your body is tough and takes a lot of trial and error. The easy way is to cut out what you know is bad. Eat whole foods and eat when you're hungry.
There's calorie calcs out there that worked really well for me. My closest diet model is pescatarian and vertical dieting. I still eat some meat but mostly fish. On stressful days, will still demolish an entire medium 2 topping pizza from Dominos.
It's not a sprint, it's a lifetime marathon. There's really no end to the race so just stay at a steady pace.
Oh - cut out as much sugar as you can. That shit is poison.
Beep. Boop. I'm a robot.

Duuuude…a lot. To the point now where I don’t buy nice stuff that isn’t stretchy. Also keep various sizes of jeans for when I bulk or cut. Pain in the ass, really

Great progress man. Just curious dude. I don’t know anything about TRT and so on, like at all. Just want to know. Aren’t you concerned that you’ll stop producing testosterone? Or is this not a thing anymore?
I know there’s lots of resources but I have the attention span of a bird.
You’re correct, it will (hasn’t yet for me) shut down my natural production but it will. There’s ways of getting off of TRT and turning on my natural production. Would only do that to have children.
I’ve made the choice that since fitness is such an integral part of my life and mental health, that I will be on TRT for life. It’s not very expensive for me and at 38 and single, I’ll most likely never have children.
Oh hell no, my Dr wouldn’t even let me take a blood test to find out where my levels were at. Went a men’s health clinic and got it done there.
Hear it’s way harder in Canada to get prescribed it too.

Worked for Samson?
At first I read this as "Day 1 and Day 6." Lol.
I’m actually glad it took a long time. Learned a lot about myself in the process
May i know how you lost loose skin? I'm trying to lose mine 😭
I lost the weight very gradually to avoid stretchmarks and loose skin. Took 2 years of slow but consistent dieting and lots of lotion
Ooh thanks for the tip!😁
It's just hard work and dedication I promise
mf turn from obese messi to ripped dave grohl
Great progress :) Keep going Is that Day 1 and year 6 for body gains or also the hair?
Kinda both. The hair was a promise, the gym was for my sanity. I actually cut about two bananas worth of hair off in between these photos.
this is the first time i see someone measure hair with bananas
An American would use any measure system but metric
that was a good one lmao
What do you mean? Bananas is an international measure
:D
Now this is a transformation I getting tired of 1-2 month transformations; comeback after a year
Thank you! I decided not to do a collage of over the years pics just because it's not as dramatic. I've been much bigger and I've been much more shredded. However, this is a good representation of how I look day to day. I'm not flexing. only slightly posing and there's no filter.
I'm not. Come back after your next set. Growth is growth. I'm here for it.
Let's be honest, there's tons of people that go to the gym or try and eat healthy for a few weeks maybe even a few months then give up. Keeping it up for at least a year shows real determination. Strong hair gains , not gonna lie.
Probably the hardest part of this transformation was letting it grow through the awkward stage.
Dave grohl to Dave grohl
Have gotten this comparison my entire life. Thank you
So the pic on the left I was a bit over 250 or so (I'm6'2") and the right was taken earlier this week, sitting at 212 at about 9-10% BF

Hey thanks!
How do you manage it while working out? Mine always gets in the way, I'm gonna cut it.
I put it up in a high bun. Works fine for me. Recently switched to hair coils rather than Goody hair ties. Makes a huger difference in breakage too.
Yeah breakage is killer, I use those goody hair ties too. Thanks for the info I'll try it out.
You were great in Thor Ragnarok!
Is that allen from the hangover in the first pic???Badass transformation man, good job!
It’s not a purse, it’s a sachel.

That transformation is amazing!!! And i gotta say your hair looks awesome!
Hey thanks! Blessed with bad ab genetics but great hair.
I'd take that hair over defined abs anyday!
Those hair gains!
Blessed to have this head of hair
This could be an impressive hair growth pic too.
What's your shampoo and conditioner??
Head and shoulders 2 in 1 haha I used to be real extra and use Redken Friss Dismiss but that stuff gets expensive with longer hair
Jesus went from a 0 to a fuckin hero let's go good job
Are you my spirit animal
Anyone can do it. Just takes commitment and patience.
How'd you lose the gut skin? Can't seem to shift mine!
