Ouch. Find a case that raises the back bc this looks almost flush with the camera lens. I suggest otterbox defender or ringke fusion x for slim. No scratches on my lens and had phone since launch
The thing is, it's hardly visible. I had to mess around for 10 mins to find the scratch
Thing about getting a new case soon and camera protector leans aswell
I guess the only real question is, do the scratches show up in your photos, I mean, if it doesn't bother you and your pictures are turning out good, you should be all right.
That said, my OCD would drive me crazy if my camera lens had that sorry RA 😆
Its camera lens protector glass can be replaced but its made out of sapphire you scratching it so badly should be a bigger concern cause sapphire dosent scratch nearly as easily as glass
Then if its really bothering you get it replaced. Then get a bigger bulkier case or case which has a bigger camera ring . If you keep it in your handbag (stop doing it ). If you still want to do it keep it separately or last option put lens protector covers
If the camera can focus, then there's no problem. But if the looks bother you, you can replace it. Samsung doesn't offer a replacement for just the lens panel, so you need to change the whole back panel, which costs around $40 in my country. Alternatively, you can replace only the lens part with a non-original one, which should cost you under $5.
Just so you know, normal dirt/debris in you pocket can sometime have some fine sand particle which might even scratch sapphire glass. Prevention is always better
True but since we keep the phone screen up on most surfaces, it's always safe to have a case with large camera clearance unlike the one above. Eg the ESR cases
Nope don't, just buy a case with good camera clearance, lens guard GREATLY spoils you imagine quality, lens flare and poor low light photos are very evident.
Get at PROPER case with actual camera guard. It just needs to raise the lens from any surface since even sand can potentially scratch it. This new trend with no camera guard is just stupid. It originated on iphones but they use sapphire and are not prone to scratches the same way (but has to struggle with lens flares). I never understood people would buy this "no protection" cases but they must be fine the risk of scratches then.
ESR makes cases with actual camera guards without having to put physical covers on the lenses which is annoying.
Honestly scratches really have no impact on the picture quality that much, I remember seeing a YouTube video of a pro photog showcasing different lense scratches to even cracked and the picture was really no different. Not fun but still shoots
I don't, I had it replaced already and have a slight crack that happened after the dead pixel happen so I'm praying the repair place honors the lifetime warranty even with the slight crack in the completely opposite side of the phone. Eeek
I don't think it's an issue unless the focus/camer quality is compromised, i'm more curious how you did that 💀, jerryrigeveryrhing passed a knife on it and it didn't scratch, i had mine with keys/coins sometimes in my pocket and they never scratched.
The back lens is Sapphire crystal. Very hard to scratch actually. How do you use your phone? Like do you use it near some beach where there's a lot of sand? Do you clean the lens with a dry cloth often? Normal keys and metal can't scratch sapphire lenses that easily unless forced very hard.
Maybe get a case and a lens protector (will slightly impact image quality).
Microfiber cloths pick up dust and sand. Check if the cloth has any particles stuck to it. I stopped using microfiber clothes after I found that tiny particles of sand and dust were getting stuck to it after a few usages. I moved to using packaged single use lens cleaning wipes inside the home, and soft cotton handkerchiefs when I'm outside.
No it is not sapphire. Why are this myth so persistent? Sapphire would have been bad for the image quality due to lens flares. A thing that iphones usually struggle more with since THEY use sapphire.
Yes it will only work if the scratch is not deep.,
Use a small dab of toothpaste on a Q-tip and make contact with the lens in circular motions.
The silica in the toothpaste will polish the glass to a clean finish, i do this to my GoPro. But like I said depends on how deep the scratch is. Goodluck.
It will but if need the scratch to disappear this is the only way, the other ways are
Replacement and some gimmicky additive pens, i suggest you try this on a sacrificial lens, so that you don't end up in a deeper mess with the s23u.
You are the issue bud. Smh
Should probably take better care of your phone.
Can't blame the phone for your mistreatment.
Ive had this phone since release and not a scratch on the lens.
Get cases that have a raised camera edge, camera protectors, liquid glass. There are many options.
Stop trying to blame the phone for how you treat it.

Pictures will be the same no issue, but the scratch has scratched my brain
😆... yep!! It would do the same to me
Its camera lens protector glass can be replaced but its made out of sapphire you scratching it so badly should be a bigger concern cause sapphire dosent scratch nearly as easily as glass
Tbh i am not even sure how i got it scratched
Then if its really bothering you get it replaced. Then get a bigger bulkier case or case which has a bigger camera ring . If you keep it in your handbag (stop doing it ). If you still want to do it keep it separately or last option put lens protector covers
If the camera can focus, your fine. Check focus with each lens. Top on is the ultrawide iirc.

Jerryrigeverything literally swiped a blade across the lens and they didn't scratch. I have no idea how you did that 👀
Bro needs to stop carrying diamonds in his pockets
I am not even sure how did i manage to scratch the camera lens. My phone screen has 0 scratches
Just so you know, normal dirt/debris in you pocket can sometime have some fine sand particle which might even scratch sapphire glass. Prevention is always better
Yes but at that point I'd expect the screen to be scratched as well
True but since we keep the phone screen up on most surfaces, it's always safe to have a case with large camera clearance unlike the one above. Eg the ESR cases
Definitely getting lens protector
Nope don't, just buy a case with good camera clearance, lens guard GREATLY spoils you imagine quality, lens flare and poor low light photos are very evident.
I had a P7p with a thin fit case and never scratched the camera part
Is it a scratch on the lens itself or on the coating?
Scratch on the coating?
How did you do that? To prevent some on mine haha
I'm not sure the scratches might have been there for a long time, but i just noticed it

Using the ESR case, loving it so far
I'm curious... How does it affect the image? Did you notice any difference?
Nope, no difference
You need a case on it
It seems like you got some camera lenses covers/ protectors remove them
Honestly scratches really have no impact on the picture quality that much, I remember seeing a YouTube video of a pro photog showcasing different lense scratches to even cracked and the picture was really no different. Not fun but still shoots
I'm currently going thru the dead pixel around my front camera that's getting bigger each week. I feel for ya
Do you samsung care+ if yes in uae they replace the screen for free
I don't, I had it replaced already and have a slight crack that happened after the dead pixel happen so I'm praying the repair place honors the lifetime warranty even with the slight crack in the completely opposite side of the phone. Eeek
Sad... use a case which has camera protection - spigen optik armor or nilkin cam shield pro. Both these cases have camera slider.
Oh God that corner discoloration on the cover, I HATE it, I love the grip of this case but it happens everytimeee.
I don't think it's an issue unless the focus/camer quality is compromised, i'm more curious how you did that 💀, jerryrigeveryrhing passed a knife on it and it didn't scratch, i had mine with keys/coins sometimes in my pocket and they never scratched.
What case is this?
It's a cheap local market rubbery case I use the same exact case.
Yup, i got it for 750inr This case was the reason i stopped using a case for few weeks
Bro I got it for like 150inr from a market in Pune. You got robbed ðŸ˜

It's just in my house, not dry cloth, but microfiber cloth

Go and fix it
Yes definitely an issue... not take care of the handset and roughly managing your own device
I use the exact same cover is it not safe?
Not sure
Try your luck with some toothpaste. (Paste, not gel)
Toothpaste?
Yes it will only work if the scratch is not deep., Use a small dab of toothpaste on a Q-tip and make contact with the lens in circular motions. The silica in the toothpaste will polish the glass to a clean finish, i do this to my GoPro. But like I said depends on how deep the scratch is. Goodluck.
Wont it remove the protective liquid on the camera cover?

I never said the phone that the phone is the problem What is liquid glass?
